Riding a 1920s Pullman car Dover Harbor down the Northeast Corder

  • We Traveled on the Northeast Corridor in the Pullman style, aboard the classic 1920's sleeper-lounge car Dover Harbor. On Saturday, June 8, 2024, Dover Harbor leaves New York Moynihan Train Hall at 11:02AM going southward with Amtrak's train #91, the Silver Star to Washington DC. The late morning departure makes this day trip a rail cruise complete with sumptuous lunch, served en route. We Arrived in Washington DC at 2:58pm. We Traveled on one way aboard Dover Harbor making a fun trip to Washington DC.
    All fares include one way travel on Dover Harbor between the listed cities and meals as described above, beverages, snacks, and spirits aboard the car while en route.

    Do the trucks on this car have roller bearings? I sure hope so!

      @@Chessie_Railfan05 Yes, they do have roller bearing axles. No way Amtrak would green light it if it had plain bearing axles.
