- This is the video for the song "More Faithful" by Skillet, off their second album, "Hey You, I Love Your Soul". I do not own Skillet or Ardent Records. This video is copyright Skillet and Ardent Records 1998. A more classic Skillet song, and a great one! and to answer the sometimes common question: yes, this is the same band that peforms "Rebirthing" and the like, but only the lead singer is still in it. Check out Skillet's old stuff, though just so you know, this is a slower song. They rocked out back in these days too. Thanks to everyone who helped give this 100,000 views!

its so weird, like when i listen to this song, im back in like thev early 90's even though i was born in 1997, so weird, but that must be how powerful the song is.
looking back, its hard to believe they aer teh same band, theyve changed so much
theyve always been awesome though
these guys used to play at my church camp wheni was a teenager i had the biggest crush on John haha, and yes they rocked then just as they do now, now my kids are listening to them i feel so old
Wow look how young john was!!!
The point of this song is a reaction to the death of mother of the lead singer of skillet if anyone wants to know the background to it. If i remember, she died of cancer and the process was obviously difficult for cooper
this song is so great and the story behind it makes it even more amazing!
I've just now realized that I've heard this before, but never knew it was Skillet...good song
cool to see some of their old stuff. 5 stars
This is a song about how Jesus is more faithful than anyone.
wow i love this song, even though i was like 1 year old when it came out it just makes me remember stuff for some reason.
Great song.
I hate to ruin your history lesson, but Lori Peters drummed on 4 albums, not 5. Lori joined Skillet just after all of the Invincible album had been tracked. She played drums on the albums Ardent Worship Live, Alien Youth, Collide, and Comatose. And, she was actually their drummer from early 2000 - 2008, totalling 8 years.
oh i said point. The inspiration to the song....ugh.... i need more sleep. i still love old skillet. I had a hard time adjusting to the new additions later but they are still good.
This is a good song i relly like it one of my fav slow songs by skillet!
wow. Skillet is a whole new band -_-
I remember this song. It brings back so many memories. John Cooper looked so different then.
i love this song
best skillet song ever! No questions
such a "pretty song"!! :D
Bless SKILLET god, and continue to bless them long long time!
Amen.
Holy smokes! The only member that's still in the band is the singer.
I notice on the songs when John plays piano, the bass is simple so they could do without. The band Rush had the same setup: Geddy would sing and play bass or keys, but only one instrument at a time. Korey certainly helped round things out and fill in the gaps. Now does she play ALL the piano parts live? also, does she or John play on "Come My Way" from Alien Youth?
john almost smiles in the last chorus.
yea its on the cd hey you, i love ur soul
hey i can't find hey you, i love your soul on here, or your love keeps me alive, that sucks, anyway skillet rocks, God BlessA.M.R.
this song reassures me. it rights the wrongs that life has done to me.
naaaw, cutest song..
lucky, i don't have any i just have some of there songs on my ipod
no its on hey u i love your soul cuz i own that cd and its on there
here lyes my FAVORITE vocalist, guy or girl, girl being Lacey Mosley of Flyleaf
@deanuh70 Is it now? Can you fill me in? I wasn't informed this song had any story.
SKILLET---"MORE FAITHFUL"
Most interesting: comments on his hair rather than the music
@ScreamingXEagles Not always hehe, I hated the "Invincible", all but one song on the debut, and the "Hey, you I love your soul" album. But, once "Alien Youth" came out, that was when they started to get good.
ummm.... this isn't a newer song nor is it a worship song. this song is from 1991 from their first albumn and it was before the women joined the band. this was the FIRST skillet. same singer, different musicians :)
@kattabrained Hmm I don't really see it. I interpret the song at face value; to give God thanks for being more faithful than anyone else could.
Don't forget Lori!
wow he looks so young :L
there style changed sooo much from hey you i love your soul to comotose omg i love the wispering in this cd though
LOL, is this skillet,
flyleafs good 2 but their bassist is no where as good as John Cooper (for those of u who dont no who that is thats the lead of Skillet).
John looks cute here, but not his hair....that's got to go!
This is a good song i relly like it one of my fav slow songs by skillet!
