No way. All the PS games I wanted to play are now on my PC. No need for a PS5 anymore. There is also talk of the Pro not being able to run GTA6 at 60 fps. So, what's the point?
They just release the PS5 Slim and just a year later want people to be a small upgrade without games until mid-2025... that's a bold plan. Sony is going into the septic faster than I expected. Xbox will just come out with a more powerful console as always but still, most people don't care about power, they care about games. The Switch is bouncing everyone in software/hardware with their mobile phone GPU from almost 10 years ago. Playstation doesn't have a power problem, they have a games problem.
I love my Xbox for being more accessible than the PS5 ever was, and being able to use it with my phone and a controller is a fun extra even if there are places where the experience isn't that great. Granted, the PS5 can do that, too, but I'm not shelling out for a timed-exclusive box when I can be patient. Sony screwed themselves over during the crypto boom and the mass bot-scalping. They sold *all those consoles*, and hardly any games in comparison. I wonder where all those consoles went, hmm? Certainly not in the hands of consumers out for entertainment, that's for sure.
30 fps is absolutely terrible for a AAA action game in 2024. It's almost laughable how terrible that is. Maybe if you went from a PS4 to a PS5 you wouldn't know better, but not a single person is going to go from PC to spending hundreds for a PS5 to play 30fps lulz. I'd rather play in 1080p than 4k 30fps 😂
the reason i take those demo frame rates with a grain of salt is simple, demos are always older than you think. honestly, you're a fool if you think they are rushing out sudden press demo builds with work from like that week for this stuff. in reality, that demo is months old on that press event and even further from the release build. it was earlier in development so there will likely be significant differences to the final game, in performance, more so with the tradition of day 1 patches and stuff.
We want PS5 compatibility on all systems and A.I. optimizations for performance and running execution algorithm which always feels material on PlayStation... ♥️
I think what many people don’t consider is that current PS5 can always sell the old PS5 to offset the cost of upgrading. If it nets out around 300 bucks I’ll do it.
No I am not weird I am a videophile who spends a lot of money on TVs. I currently have the Sony A95L which is the best TV money can buy so video quality is important to me, framerate not so much.
@user-oq6sc1qm4j I have a 55in LG OLED, I love my frames. If I had to settle for 1080p with 60+ frames for everything, I'd be happy. It's 2024, I'm baffled by how anything can be less than that as a standard. 60 frames and 1080p should be minimum.
$3 grand is too much, unless you want to get a top of the line GPU like the RTX 4090 or RX 7900 XTX For around $1500 you can build a PC with the ryzen 7 3800x and rtx 4070, 32 gigs of ram DDR4, nvme ssd and offers double the perfomance of PS5. Even a cheaper build with the entry GPUs: RTX 4060 and RX 7600 still offers better performance than consoles at 1080p/1440p
The PS5 Pro is said to be as powerful as a 7800XT and the games are getting more demanding every year too, at that time even a 4080 would barely be enough for 4K 60. And don't expect the performance of a 5080 in a $500 console.
@@randyrrs7028 the PS5 Pro is a rumour, even if the console is real we don't know if the performance will be equal to the 7800 XT as you said, every year games get more demanding for both PC and consoles, maybe the 4080 won't be enough for 4K-60, but that means games on consoles would be running much worse, both PS5 and Series X are already struggling to hit native 1080p on next-gen games like alan wake 2, lords of the fallen, robocop rogue city, remnant 2, inmortals of aveum, and upcoming UE 5 games like hellblade 2 and stalker 2 will be even more demanding
@vegetarey The PS5 Pro would need double performance or more, best bet for the jump in performance is an equivalent as good as a 7800XT with FSR3 then youre running everything at 60+fps. Jumping to 4K native is a massive drain on the gpu but if using FSR you would upscale to 4K and probably hit 60 on some games and it’s so smooth and you really wouldn’t know it’s not 4K native

We need enough power so we don’t have to choose with every game. Quality? Performance? I want the best of both worlds. Certain games with the right TV help this currently. Such as 4k 40fps etc. Hopefully a Pro gets us there.
Nope. Just got a PS5 Slim for Christmas. Besides I never upgrade, once I have a system I got it for the full console run. I never traded my PS2 for a PS2 Slim. I never traded my PS3 Slim for the PS3 Ultra Slim (the sliding disc tray version), I never traded my PS4 for a PS4 Slim or PS4 Pro. I have a PS5 Slim, and I'm keeping it until PS6. I'm not needlessly wasting money on any "mid-generation upgrade" bullshit. I get some people want the absolute best performance. Best visuals possible, best frame rate possible, etc. If you care about it that much and have the money to burn, sure go for it. But I don't care about it that much nor do I have that money to burn. So I got what I got, and that's what I'll have until next generation rolls around.
Casual gamers will still want a $500 Ps5 over a $700 Ps5 Pro. Just like people still chose a Xbox-S over a more expensive Xbox-X. For $500 playing new games at 1440p/60 fps is a great deal .
if the PS5 Pro has better significantly fps, that’s all i care about. they could just have an upgraded chip that has dedicated acceleration for a DLSS 3.0 type feature and that would be enough for me
Probably not going to buy it. I bought a ps4 pro and barely played it (in comparison) to the other systems and usually you’re at least 1/2 way there to the next system. Could just wait for the new system which usually has much more hype at launch bc of the new games. Waiting for the pro version while all your friends are already playing the new games just isn’t fun. The only reason to buy this is if you want a 2nd system (one for backup, 2nd house, travel, or guest bed or something) or you’re just rich or u sell your original
I turned off my adaptive triggers and haptic feedback at launch immediately after playing Astro Bot. Stupid gimmick making the controller senselessly expensive.
No, Dragon's Dogma comes out in a few days while we expect ps5pro at the end of 2024: DD2 non only DOES NOT need a ps5pro but it could not even take advantage of it. Then maybe in 2025 - when we'll have completely dismissed Dragon's Dogma 2 for the next big thing - they'll release an upgrade patch like they did with dragon's dogma 1... with Dark Arisen actually not even with the base game so I imagine that could be the plan: 2025 a new dlc with minor ps5pro enhancements. Maybe... this said DD2 looks to me like a remaster of DD1 honestly. Great but we have already played it... Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade I believe are far more interesting. Personal opinion.
nah, if you already have a TV then 1000£ is enough to build PC which will run DD2 at better res and better framerate than PS5, I'm gaming on PC and PS5 if there is a interesting game on it, for multi platforms PC is main machine, and I forgot how monitor looks like, both connected to TV, so people don't have to spend additional money for a monitor or whatever, 1K for PC is enough and also after a year you can get better cpu or newer midrange gpu for refresh which will be better than buying every 3 years new console base mode then pro model
I know i will get backlash but i feel there is no need for a Pro. I feel PS4 we had far more releases. Sony needs to get their shit together. I am not saying we have not had games but the PS5 has been out like 4 or so years and plus they had stated no first party games this year....
I really don't see the need for an PS5 pro console, I would fucus on the next gen console, considering that most games take a gen to create. The PS5 console is good enough and has some amazing games. As long as they can run at 60fps at a minimum, most won't care.
I have the PS4, 3 controllers for it, 4TB external Hard drive (HDD), and a controller charger. I purchased the PS5 and a 2TB SSD (Solid State Drive) , PLUS all the games I have AND a yearly PS Plus Subscription. I cant see how ANYONE can keep buying MORE consoles and controllers. I'm a Machinist and make fantastic money as well.
I was kinda expecting you to say that we'd need a Ps5 pro for FF7 Rebirth 👀 That game runs pretty poorly on Graphics mode and has a supper choppy / low frame rate in that mode which is very noticeable. The ps5 is struggling with the game even in performance mode (where they use some of the "AI upscaling" or maybe fake frame generation or what not..) really mind boggling given that it's the only system the game released on and they couldn't even optimize it properly for that system... -_-"
Yeah don't expect to take the elites outside on the go. Not what I think Sony's engineers intended it to be used for. They named those earbud Pluse Explore. No way. All the PS games I wanted to play are now on my PC. No need for a PS5 anymore. There is also talk of the Pro not being able to run GTA6 at 60 fps. So, what's the point?
I have not seen one game that not at 60 fps in performance mode on a Ps5.
I won’t even buy a PlayStation so no, I won’t buy a pro. But a PC is looking mighty attractive.
Same here
I did the switch too. But I did buy the Spiderman limited edition PS5 😅. But if games come out on PS5 and PC. Im buying it in PC. 🤷🏽♂️
I got both and VR occulus
I use my ps5 the most resident evil 4 remake and village in VR is the best gaming experience I've had
enjoy playing with the hackers , the bad optimise, and pc and crashes
They just release the PS5 Slim and just a year later want people to be a small upgrade without games until mid-2025... that's a bold plan. Sony is going into the septic faster than I expected. Xbox will just come out with a more powerful console as always but still, most people don't care about power, they care about games. The Switch is bouncing everyone in software/hardware with their mobile phone GPU from almost 10 years ago. Playstation doesn't have a power problem, they have a games problem.
Guys we should save up and get a high end pc to really really enjoy Reaslim experience bc of the mods and in general the details are way beyond better
Zero info about the ps5 pro
To preserve gaming history look into emulation and roms. Own game collections again
I must have missed the bit (again) about PS5 Pro
I love my Xbox for being more accessible than the PS5 ever was, and being able to use it with my phone and a controller is a fun extra even if there are places where the experience isn't that great.
Granted, the PS5 can do that, too, but I'm not shelling out for a timed-exclusive box when I can be patient.
Sony screwed themselves over during the crypto boom and the mass bot-scalping. They sold *all those consoles*, and hardly any games in comparison. I wonder where all those consoles went, hmm? Certainly not in the hands of consumers out for entertainment, that's for sure.
if you don't want stuttering you need a tv with vrr that adjust the hz with the fps constantly.
When I realized you needed an internet connection with Redfall. I never played it again. I like single-player games.
That's what I'm saying! It's everybody else that accept that bs that'll normalize it. And it kinda pisses me off.
Jimmy looks like Joey from full house. And he looks like the dude. And he looks like Fred Flintstone. Lucky guy😅
I am in the process of building a new PC... so no. I will NOT be.
I would’ve if I could trust them to let me keep my games. Fuck Sony.
I think what many people don’t consider is that current PS5 can always sell the old PS5 to offset the cost of upgrading. If it nets out around 300 bucks I’ll do it.
nice video, but 3k for a similar performing pc to ps5 is not true. You can get better setups than ps5 for 1000-1500
bro i can get a brand new pc from germany for 650 euro which crushes the ps5 in any game lol yall streching it in 2024 pcs are pretty cheap
"You will buy a PS5 Pro."
Bet. $10,000 says I won't.
does anyone else dislike the strange shiny d pad and buttons on the ps5 controller
I am waiting for the PS10 and so I am skipping 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
Yes
There wont be a ps10. 😂
Is this an attempt at hypnotism? Why would I ever buy a console when PC's exist?
Keep it up Sony. I already love my PC I'ma just become a full-time PC player.
People that pick quality over performance are weird. Why would you pick staggering beauty over smoothness? Frames do matter
People should be wanting both Quality & Performance.
Nope, I will not buy a PS5 Pro, and here's why - I have a powerful PC.
31st B day???!! And you look like you're 45 dude. I'm in my forties and I look younger than you dude. Keep off the beer or whatever you're doing dude
Yay! Buy a PS5 pro so I can play no games on it
$3 grand is too much, unless you want to get a top of the line GPU like the RTX 4090 or RX 7900 XTX
For around $1500 you can build a PC with the ryzen 7 3800x and rtx 4070, 32 gigs of ram DDR4, nvme ssd and offers double the perfomance of PS5.
Even a cheaper build with the entry GPUs: RTX 4060 and RX 7600 still offers better performance than consoles at 1080p/1440p
So if you spend three times the price you can make a faster machine sweet
@@PCgamerChannel no, i said that even entry level gpus like the 4060 offer better performance than consoles
The PS5 Pro is said to be as powerful as a 7800XT and the games are getting more demanding every year too, at that time even a 4080 would barely be enough for 4K 60. And don't expect the performance of a 5080 in a $500 console.
@@randyrrs7028 the PS5 Pro is a rumour, even if the console is real we don't know if the performance will be equal to the 7800 XT
as you said, every year games get more demanding for both PC and consoles, maybe the 4080 won't be enough for 4K-60, but that means games on consoles would be running much worse,
both PS5 and Series X are already struggling to hit native 1080p on next-gen games like alan wake 2, lords of the fallen, robocop rogue city, remnant 2, inmortals of aveum,
and upcoming UE 5 games like hellblade 2 and stalker 2 will be even more demanding
Yeah I will and there is no reason why except I want to
That's not how screen tearing happens by the way.
Nah, I stopped after the PS4 and I definately won't buy a Remasteredstation / Remakestation 5 Pro
Or nah. Will not buy a pro, especially not for a game I'm not convinced is worth buying considering they keep insisting no map markers & you're going to be constantly lost wasting all your time trying to find where to go.
how good that my custom PC don't get opscure that fast... also, i agree that the PS5 controller is really good, thats why i bought a custom made RGB controller, that has all the features that a PS5 controller has, AND it compatibile with Switch and PC alike...
and the best part is, that it was a bit cheaper than the sony controllers. only becouse it don't has a fancy logo on it...
I would definitely get the dual sense edge if it came in colours that match the deep earth faceplates
Nah, I definitely won't. I'm doing just fine with my PC.
i have a regular digital ps5, i dont need a pro. im likely to not even get the ps6 when it comes out.
Everyone talking about PS5. Meanwhile I’m having a blast on my GameCube and really want a ps2 and an Xbox. Modern gaming has become a joke. Only stellar blade & Elden ring dlc I’m gonna play.
Not me! Why? FJB Prices for food, gas, and more have risen which is bs. It’s tight enough for me plus PS+ membership price has risen up as well.
Ps5 pro is coming out November 15 with gta6 for $679.99… Mark my words
The touch pad is only a "gimmick" because devs are unimaginative and don't bother making game that make us of it. Not Sony's fault. It's an awesome idea and can be used for so many things.
My reasons will be: First probably more storage and my ssd is always full and secontly it's nice to have a spare console for online trophies
The pulse elites are some of the best headphones I’ve ever used. This is coming from someone who is blind and who uses their ears the same as you guys use your eyes for graphics. I have been an odyssey fan forever, and I own the Penrose and the Maxwell And Astro and a couple of other Logitech headsets and elites are definitely for their performance and cost points. The one I definitely suggest.
Pc deliver us from hell
PS5pro : The Most Powerful Pointless Scam ! 😂, just like ps4pro
Did u watch the video and listen to him?
The PS4 pro came with 2t storage making it the only reason to buy it other than its trash I have it works good but yea waste of money and oh switch it over to the ps5 sounds great but ps5 is 1t so you see where we heading with this right buy another internal for almost 200 it’s all a scam ps4 2t ps5 let make 1t makes perfect sense thing should come at least a 3t than make it so I can add another 2t if I want or need Sony are con artist and they good at it
@@raysimmons3796 exactly 💯, it's just a marketing scam, why upgrade for a 5% difference 🤣
I cannot stand the adaptive triggers. Worst feature. Takes me out of the immersion and the big marketing push was to make it more immersive.
I'm still waiting for the game Light No Fire, the game has way more potential then any other MMORPG game out there.
DG2 will run better on XSX because of 120hz mode.PS5's version runs in 60hz mode only( demo atleast)
I think the Pulse Elite's look REALLY cool, i'd wear them outside. Not at work, but on a walk or something.
Casual gamers will still want a $500 Ps5 over a $700 Ps5 Pro.
Just like people still chose a Xbox-S over a more expensive Xbox-X.
For $500 playing new games at 1440p/60 fps is a great deal .
30 fps must not exist on consoles nowadays. 60 lock must be a standard)
It is on performance mode . Some people want 4k/30 mode over 1440p/60 mode.
might see 60fps only on ps6 idk thats the only console am looking forward to
why would I want a ps5 pro with 33.5 teraflop gpu when my gaming pc has a 43.50 teraflop gpu, what a joke.
A good 30 fps option where it plays smoothly along with a tv that does motion smoothing really helps.
I7-9700k with a 2080S. I'm debating Dragons Dogma on my Pc but I like using my ps5 more. Any ideas If my weak pc will have better performance?
nope
if the PS5 Pro has better significantly fps, that’s all i care about. they could just have an upgraded chip that has dedicated acceleration for a DLSS 3.0 type feature and that would be enough for me
I will actually not, going back to pc
already switched a year ago brother ps5 collecting dust
PS5 Pro has got smart shift and a high frequency CPU mode. When they need CPU power they under clock the GPU a little not rocket science
30 fps is fine? Its not 2009. are you crazy? How much bung are you getting for this video?
its fine if you used to it but if you ever play 60fps games or higher like on pc than true 30 is not fine than
Buying ps5 pro and buying games then pay to play the game you already own really sucks going back to Nintendo 62
I don't know anyone who choses 30 fps mode over 60 fps mode on a Ps5.
Come on frame pacing issues shouldn't be a damn thing on these new consoles wasn't it advertised to do 4k and 60 FPS for most games? SMH
I will buy the PS5 Pro GTA 6 bundle
I'm hoping that the dualsense works well on the standard PS5 as I can't afford to get a PS5 PRO
I have the PS4, 3 controllers for it, 4TB external Hard drive (HDD), and a controller charger. I purchased the PS5 and a 2TB SSD (Solid State Drive) ,
PLUS all the games I have AND a yearly PS Plus Subscription.
I cant see how ANYONE can keep buying MORE consoles and controllers.
I'm a Machinist and make fantastic money as well.
I love my ps 5 slim disc version I want be getting one
drivers are the answer to the game red fall. once the game is done nvida, AMD and intel will build a proper driver for it
If I can get games running 120 frame rate and dynamic 4K resolution, I am buying the PS 5 Pro
They should make the buttons more robust on the new control
I was kinda expecting you to say that we'd need a Ps5 pro for FF7 Rebirth 👀
That game runs pretty poorly on Graphics mode and has a supper choppy / low frame rate in that mode which is very noticeable. The ps5 is struggling with the game even in performance mode (where they use some of the "AI upscaling" or maybe fake frame generation or what not..)
really mind boggling given that it's the only system the game released on and they couldn't even optimize it properly for that system... -_-"
Yeah don't expect to take the elites outside on the go. Not what I think Sony's engineers intended it to be used for. They named those earbud Pluse Explore. I really like my Pluse Elite for what it's price at and the features. But definitely not when I get up and walk around the house. You can hear it rattling with every step.
