i can say for sure, that this is the best tutorial i've ever seen on lightroom. it is. I'm saying that, because learning how to edit photos is overwhelming sometimes, we start messing with a LOT of things, and when you realize the photo is a complete trash and you have to start over. but seeing you reapeat basiclly the same workflow for every photo reminded me of just doing the basics, in a certain order, then trying to make the picture better afterwards. So i stopped the video near the end and restarted editing 30 photos that were bugging me because their were underexposed and with the wrong white balance... and i was starting the edit by increasing the shadows, but as you said, it made the whole picture look pretty bad, so everything i did after that made it worst haha starting by raising exposure solved it S2 so thank you.
@@stalman I am sure you mean, only if you did the right things for composition in camera. no amount of LR can fix a poor ( relatively speaking ) composition :)
If you add the preset to the raw file, yes. I like to do all my raw editing with goal of a clean neutral image, then do a little cloning in photoshop, and apply the preset to the psd
Just checked out the Loupedeck CT and wow, now on my x-mas list. Seems like it would make editing a little more fluid and enjoyable. But ouch, that price point. Have you tested the CT?
It's pretty cool and you definitely move through photos faster with it. I haven't tried a CT yet, I literally saw the announcement a few minutes before recording
I sometimes edit in Lightroom on my phone, only for impromptu timings, otherwise I always edit photos on my iPad Pro, using the Apple Pencil is much easier, and I even prefer it to using Lightroom on my MacBook Pro

I'm so glad to hear it was helpful! The basics really are the most important, exposure and white balance are 90% of the work.

Tyler Stalman I found this very helpful too! I wish I had known your techniques years ago.
2 stalman videos, Christmas came early
Thanks for bringing these holiday vibes in November! 😍
That's a very professional editing set up man! Really enjoyed watching the creative process unfold!
Would love to see a video specifically on photoshop and things you normally use most often on it!
Thanks for this Tyler! Can’t wait to play around Lr ☺️
stumbled upon this. just found out the most hipster way of photo editing on the internet.
Wow! Thanks for introducing me to the Loupedeck, I can’t wait to try it.
Always a good time on this channel
Love how you edit it on the beach... great ambiance..
when your editing photos what brightness do you set your monitor (or laptop screen) to?
doesnt adding a preset just change all the work you did before hand?

Yes, I asked myself, but he takes it out to ps6 and then brings it back. Thats what I got out of it.
So once you done the cloning you bring it back to lightroom as a psd?
We need a mobile tutorial cuz it’s free
Bought the presets to support the channel!
Do my Lightroom although I Edit before presets, it reverts to the regular settings. I have to export an import in order for it to work.
Does the Loupedeck+ work with Lightroom CC? I'm struggling to find an answer. Some say yes; some say no.

4:58 you should make apples wallpapers for them
How do you go from Lr to Ps and back to Lr?
Brilliant question, like what’s the most efficient way to do that? Surely with wedding photography it’s a little long winded
