You are a master at masking with Lightroom. You continue to amaze me with all your little tricks and I continue to learn something new with each new video. Thank you so much. Enjoy the holiday season.
Great work, Christian. I’ve found that the Object selection tool does a much better job of selecting birds than the Subject tool. Give it a try and you’ll notice a much better feather selection on the wings. Thanks again for sharing your work.
Really enjoyed this edit and you gave such a clear explanation of how you did it. There does appear to be quite a bit of noise in the image. Would you use the Lightroom noise reduction for this?
Christian, I am very thankful for your beautiful photo and magnificent presentation! I do have difficulty with the first Adobe Color selection, is it for a warmer color, not considered the background?
Nice video. Just a quick note, the reason you couldn't mask out the small part of the wings was because 1- auto mask was on and had a hard time picking up the correct area. In small areas like that, I always turn it off. 2- your brush size was too big. Go small and turn off auto mask.
@str8boogerflikn102 no not really, but even though it looks better after edit i think a less cliche edit would have been better. Especially that artificial lightsource is done way too much nowadays
@@alexnrs8700 my grandmother said always be honest but i have to admit the grumpy "get it right in the field" me got triggered. By the way i absolutely think he does some great edits.

This is one heck of an edit. Really well done and something to take away. ❤ … cheers, 😊
Never tried lining up the RGB panel up top for a natural colour. Will try tomorrow!
Very good Christian as always 👏
Nice edit!
For selecting the gaps in the wing, I tend to use objects selection rather than brush. I find that generally works best.
Always enjoy the masking tips!
Masterpiece. I Was waiting so long for this tutorial ❤
The RGB concept is new to me, and is a great idea.

What year Lightroom are you using?
I hope in future we can feather masks a small amount to avoid the sharp edges which always screams “masked”
Admire your skills but edits like this are so cliche and look per definition overedited in my opinion.
Let me guess you like the original better before he edited it

@mvanlisdonk okay, I value everyone's opinion. Not everyone's going to like the same things. I think the photo looks great..
What did our grandmothers say? … If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t…
