Our principle at my high school died just a few months into my junior year. My choir teacher was incredibly close to her, like sisters. She picked this song for our principle, and we’re now singing it at our festival. Absolutely beautiful piece as always, Ms. Hagenberg
I was about to comment the same thing, but I know you. I’m truly glad we’re singing this for her. Rest in peace Liddell
Sang this at an Honor choir, and it was absolutely beautiful...
So did I
This is perfect in every way...a beautiful tribute to Lily Kate. The glory....surely touched and left behind such beauty and strength. Praying for all who have lost a precious one too soon.
Yes I agree, it also was created with an essence of “Over the Rainbow”, because it was Lily’s favorite song.
performed this in an honors choir a couple days ago, the music is so powerful and touching
Is it Oklahoma all state honor choir, because that is the one we are doing.
@@anonymous_7943 it was the NJ all state choir!
We did this at our honor chorus and I still come back to it. A beautiful piece that truly encapsulates childhood and the mystery and beauty of life. Thank you so much for this masterpiece. Lily Kate Powell would be so proud. ❤️
I sang in a state honor choir with this lice and it almost put me to tears
I was in the choir that first performed this piece around two years ago now... so many beautiful memories. Listening to it again just made me almost cry.
Absolutely
❤️
I love the verses you selected from the Wordsworth poem. In a way, they’re quite appropriate for the times we’re currently living in.
So beautiful, gentle, tender, respectful and lovely! This will touch many hearts. Thank you. :)
So pretty. My choir got a perfect score at our state competition with Song of Miriam. :)
-such a great way to end my high school career.
We are also singing You Do Not Walk Alone at my graduation next Saturday. It’s such a great send off to the seniors :)
Beautiful music. Love it. Always a joy singing it :)
I would have died a happy man to have seen that Song of Miriam performance! Love Elaine, favorite composer!

Elaine, you are a light for our choir and for our soul! Thanks a lot for you music and your spirit.
Beautiful and so inspiring in your words. I cry every time I listen to it reminds me of my dear mom's memories. Thank you !
i sang this among many other pieces at an art institute a couple months ago. this one stuck out in particular, not only because of the tragic story behind the piece, but also because we had collaborated with the drawing and painting discipline to create a slideshow of art to go alongside the lyrics.
it became really hard for me to sing near the end. i was holding back tears and it made my voice feel hoarse. truly, an incredibly powerful, beautiful and moving experience.
What a beautiful gift you have. Thank you for sharing it
VON certainly has some gorgeous music for us to sing this holiday 2022 :-)
Gentle and powerful at same time. Heart touching masterpiece

Wow, I love this song. I’m listening to it on repeat to learn it for our hs honor choir.
Update: I've been listening to this on repeat for 30 minutes. Still in fact not tired of this and still very scared of the high notes
Very nice!
I’m going to sing this at Okmea if I make it to state

Will this ever be put on Spotify? I sang it earlier this year and I keep coming back to listen here but I’d love to put it on repeat as I drive
musi>spotify, just for things like this.
Where is the place in this video?
My (used to be tenor) baritone is so happy that I am singing some low tenor 2 notes
I went from tenor 1 to tenor 2 to baritone
I cried hearing this
Gg unluggy
Isn't divine glory everlasting?
