Thanks for the video. I might just end up with a drz 400 soon enough. Or a Honda because that's a closer dealer where I live. I like both, the older style with the carb and the newer.
I recommend people learn how to change your oil even on cars. It's too easy really if you follow all the steps right. And it saves you some money over time. Take advantage of RUclips and learn people.
It doesn’t. It says to hold it vertically, reinsert the dipstick until the threads touch filler neck but do not screw the cap in. Maybe an older manual said to screw it in? Not sure. Glad to help. And thanks for watching!
Great videos bro. I am new in drz life, I am from country Georgia. Thanks for videos. Please let us know also where can we buy O rings, i couldt find them anywehre on web. 8:52
Damn dude, I bought the same gallon bottle from amazon but it didn't have the clear-side markings/indicators -- was my stuff genuine? I couldnt tell so I put 2 full quarts. Hopefully it wasn't too much. 😅
That’s the full stainless exhaust with the 8inch shorty? Plus a jet kit? Im asking because, I bought a 23, and I’ve been searching for something a little different than everyone is running that isn’t super loud, and I like your setup. I haven’t done any mods yet. I use the bike to run in and out of NYC as my commuter from NJ. I don’t want to do anything that will compromise reliability.
Man. That sounds like a crazy question. 🤣. Standard. Up and down. Low to medium throttle. Different RPMs for different times. I didn’t dog it for sure. Steady Throttle. Seemed to do just fine for me.
Hard break-in is proven better!.....it seats the Rings, instead of "dragging" them low RPM. All professional racecar drivers and motorcycle teams do a Hard break-in.
@@94SexyStang Agreed! My bike has a little over 500 miles and I rode the piss out of it. I was told by mechanics that you should. I also hot 102mph on it. Changing my oil this weekend but agree with you Mike!
Always purchase your oil from Suzuki Dealer while under warranty!!! So if something happens, they CAN'T wiggle out of warranty work by saying "oh you didn't use the recommended oil, bla bla bla"....My dealer told me Suzuki is very good with warranty stuff, but working at dealerships before, I've seen them try Anything to get out of repairs if you're under warranty, Lol.
Video kinda makes me cringe hard, not replacing crush washers and O-rings, no torque wrench, and using a power tool to take the drain plugs of. And spraying contact cleaner in the engine, not measuring oil, just like ahhhh hahaga
The best channel of this type on YT. Production quality is amazing and it's so clear and concise in what he is doing. Love it.
Thanks man! I appreciate you watching!
Best videos hands down! You saved me a ton of $$ by watching your vids and doing my upgrades/changes myself. Keep it up brotha!
Hell yea! I appreciate it. I have many more coming!
I agree I stay on top of his videos they’re awesome
Aluminum foil! So simple blew my mind great tip. I have the same bike in white. Less then 100mi

Just to help make sure u put oil in the oil filter before putting it in just helps the motor for the start up
The filter is a cartridge. Or a spin on. Not sure how I’d oil it. It works for me.
just outstanding video's

Wow you didn't have to take off skid plate like others do
I did it for video purposes
Thanks for the video !!!

I’m pretty sure the manual says the thread the dipstick all the way down to check which threw me for a loop.
It doesn’t. It says to hold it vertically, reinsert the dipstick until the threads touch filler neck but do not screw the cap in.

I’m surprised you didn’t take the metal mesh out and clean that as well, it usually collects metal shavings as well from what I’ve seen on new bikes
Where’s the mesh at
I did it on the 2nd change. Maybe I’ll make a video on it.
Thank you.
Very welcome. Good luck!

I was quoted $400 from the dealer
To do an oil change?
Where did you get that ripit sticker!?!
It’s not a sticker. It’s the entire can. Check it. ruclips.net/video/AMXOrt1cP88/видео.htmlsi=SbrmVJHdT9SX7S6O
Is that a slip on,did it make any difference
No it’s a full system. Not a slip on. It did decent. I have a barkers full system now. It’s beast
@linksgarage1985 i just bought a 23 and was wondering if i should get a cheap exhaust, seems restrictions, so it does run better

I just bought a 2023 brand new drz400sm and was wondering about the motor break in period and if it matters
Just go by the book and that bike will last forever
I just did my first at a 1000 miles
Is that a rip it can shoved in the bike?
Haha. I cut a can in half and wrapped it around the brake reservoir.
What pipe is on that bike?
Delkevic 8inch stainless shorty
