Did the jet kit, air box mod and the delkelvic 8 inch full exhaust system, and man I love the sound of the exhaust, I left baffle in. Bike puts out way more power. Thanks for the vid man

I love the thumpers, everything is so easy to work on compared to 30 mins just pulling off fairings from multi cylinder road bikes. Great vids, it’s akin to being with a friend and getting stuff done. 👍

This is a really good video for installing an exhaust. I used it for my Yoshimura RS2 install, since the process is very similar. The one thing I would add to this in my case is the there is not enough space on the head holt to use an allen socket. To get it aligned, you will have to use a regular allen key that is long enough. Moving the clamp on the other side is a must and super easy.
I’ve owned some pretty loud bikes but I bought that kit and I can genuinely say it’s loud loud, will drown most other bikes with some obvious exceptions 😅(ie trapped out 450s, screaming 2 strokes that’s about it)

Had an xt250 with the same exhaust and the bike sounded amazing just didn’t go anywhere when you went wide open. I just bought a drz so I’m excited for the sound again but this time to actually have speed to match the sound😂

Off the bat the build quality looks a lot better than Yoshimura. They didn’t include a new gasket or sealant. I was pretty disappointed how bad their instructions were too.

That exhaust looks so much better but I want a quiet bike so I have to keep stock unfortunately. Just a heads up, those passenger pegs weight a good 2 lbs just dead weight for most people.

Just put the same pipe on, have gold ash levers, have the led, have the gold handlebar bracket, have the same brake cables but gold. I have commented on a couple videos and I really appreciate your guidance. I am wanting to know if I can run the exhaust and 3by3 without the jd jet kit until it arrives. It won’t be here till Monday and I drive it to work so the ole lady can have the car for the kids. Delkavic says you do not need to rejet with any of there exhausts on there website. Will it hurt the bike at all? I’d say 20 miles a day until Monday.
I have the delkavic on. Full system, same as you.
Nope. Won’t hurt it. It’ll be a little lean. But no harm will be done. People slap on these exhaust and never rejet for thousands of miles. You’ll be good. The internal diameter of this system is barely bigger than stock. The Barkers system however, is wayy bigger. And thanks for the kind words man. Here to help!

That exhaust looked sweet and sounds amazing was debating about even buying this bike just for stunts and after hearing that it's a must have purchase with that exhaust! Question your headlight looks brighter than my friends how did you get that brightness and color??? Also noticed the smaller front piece above the front tire where'd you get that and do they make it in white?

Hey man! How was the bike running with the exaust on before you put on the jet kit? Just brought the same exaust for my stock DRZ and I dont know if im ready to do the jetting job now since im not too good at mecanic. Could running the full exaust without rejetting be bad for the engine or have other downsides on the long term?
I pretty much did it all at the same time. But the bike was pretty lean after the exhaust and no jetting. Lots of popping on deceleration.

Have you noticed a significant difference in performance after all of the mods? I have the jd jet kit coming And I really want that exhaust looks awesome but unfortunately they’re out of stock so I’m not going to jet it until I get the exhaust.
Yea. It’s pretty noticeable with the jet, exhaust, and 3x3.

Tried putting mine on today but it seems like the mounts for the stock heat shield are too close together and I can’t see any obvious way to get more play or space between? Did you or anyone else have these issues? What am I doing wrong lol

@@theyhatejay7653 2024, I think I have the slip joint to far in? But I really don’t understand because it has a fixed mounted point on the rear, and then a fixed mounting point in the front “engine” so there isn’t really any wiggle room? lol certainly not an inch

I only rode it about 10 miles that way. Then jetted. And 3x3. It’s got an FCR 39 now. Lots of vids on it all.
hey picking up new 2022 drz400sm and want to replace the exhaust what do you suggest either jetting the stock carb or getting the new fcr39 clone carb or is it ok if i replace the exhaust and not do the jetting ??
I’d jet it.
I would not add exhaust unless you jet it.
I would do jet kit, 3x3 airbox mod and exhaust all at the same time

Have seen others recommend wiping the pipes down with mineral spirits or similar degreaser to avoid oil from hand/finger prints from burning into the new SS, any issues ?
I’d recommend alcohol. But I’ve had no issues.

Does jet kit need to be installed or adjusted for this pipe system? Already have a jet kit done and do the factory blinkers need to be changed out so dont melt lol?
If you add a pipe I would recommend a jet kit. But you already have one. And your OEM blinkers might be in danger ⚠️! Lol. TST industries has a good fender eliminator kit. I have a video of that, and all if there modification installs on the channel. Thanks for watching!

Holding up great after over 4K miles. And I believe the ID was larger

It’s pretty loud. But I put the baffle back in and I’ve been running it that way for about 3k miles. I love it still.

Hey Link, so how did you use their bolts, and washers? They sent no instructions and it’s starting to become a headache.
Yes. I used all the hardware they provided.

A little. Removed PAIR valve. Helped tremendously.

Jet it. Or else it won’t perform great. And knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t even buy this exhaust. I cheaped out. And bought a budget system. Only to redo it with a quality system. Wish I would have just “buy once, and cried once”

Do you feel like it's to Loud when driving around? I'm looking at getting one.
Since I did it it’s been raining. I’ve only ridden it about 15 miles or so. With the baffle out, it’s pretty damn loud. Not as bad with the baffle in. I’d say the quality was above what I expected. And I’m pretty picky. Thanks for watching I appreciate it!

I rode it quite a bit today. Without the baffle it’s pretty damn loud. But It sounds good in my opinion.

Hell yea man. I used to get a ton of messages asking me if I had enough flags. I would say “nope. I’ve got more now!” And I do. The place is full of them. This was a while back. Got a different exhaust system now. If you’re interested, search the channel. Or I can send you the link. This system was in for me in the beginning. But I upgraded.
