Great mods! 🙂👍🏿 I own a 2020 DRZ400SM and still enjoy riding it. For the headlight mod, I replaced the stock light with a JNS Engineering LED headlight. It’s plug and play. It looks cool and it’s super bright. One thing I want to mention about the other Zeta hand guard clamp option. I was going to do that to mine. But if you notice, that little curved metal wire that’s held on by those two bolts will not allow you to attach that other type Zeta clamp. Don’t know which year Suzuki started putting that metal piece there, but it wasn’t always installed on the DRZ. I found a forum a few years ago where other DRZ owners had the same issue.

Man don’t sweat the hate comments! I just bought one of these last week. I wanted something small, playful and could handle some shenanigans. So far this bike has exceeded my expectations. I commute 100 miles round trip. Some hiway back roads and some gravel. Surprisingly it’s also pretty damn comfortable for what it is!

Like myself I had to dig a little to get the levers you got for the DRZ and I'm about to look for the foot pegs you got

This bike is slightly smaller with a better seat height than the DRZ400S with better brakes and forks as well. I am 6'1" as well with about a 31-32 inch inseam. *new subscriber

Running the same bike also tuck the seat mount brackets inside the plastics it’ll clean up a little more. Other than that looks awesome man, lmk if you find a decent black sprocket the same tooth size when you order the chain.

Drz is a awesome and fun bike. Very reliable as well. And if you put a small cam in it really wakes these bikes up. No they arent the fastest thing on the rode but its plenty quick to have fun and do wheelies. Great handling on and off road so idk what people are talking about. These bikes have excellent suspension
@@freeridemoto7133 obviously it's not going to be as good on whoops as a modern motorcross bike, and i highly doubt many drz owners ride whoops hard or much at all. Still great for trail riding and jumps with the right tires and shock tuning

I still cant believe Suzuki makes this bike carburated.. They looks so badass, but I cant get over how they havent made them fuel injected. My dad had a 2007 and he was constantly tearing apart his carb.
I’ve been riding bikes with carbs for 25 years. Have never had an issue. Unless it sat for a real long time and got gummed up. Not a big deal to me. Thanks for watching I appreciate it!
I've got 20,000 miles on mine and never touched the carb.but I actually ride mine.if I was a 1000 mile per year guy id want fuel injection.but no problem at all with the carb,ever.if it got any more responsive it would have to have esp or something.

This is an old video but I see you mentioned the grips, I want to I stall these also. Did you use the stock throttle tube or buy an aftermarket one? I hear the glue is relentless on the factory DRZ throttle tube! Would it benefit me to get a different throttle tube? Thanks man!

2020 drz400sm mods, sell and buy a bike that's worth a fuck. Drz owners are delusional thinking these bikes are worth modding. Spend the extra 2k in mods in another actual bike thats more expensive and better. It's a 350lb dirt bike. Its not good at offroad, its not good for daily use. Its not a good bike period

I really hope you like the bike I genuinely do, because I really wanted to like mine but man 20 miles on the clock and the throttle bolts all backed out...like ffs all the bolts were loose "new bike btw 0 miles" just not a good experience for everyday use. And offroad its heavier than lets say a yz250f its almost 150lb more than your average dirt bike. So its not good at street driving, and its not good at offroad.
@@russiancommy well These bikes come disassembled. If all your bolts backed out, sounds like a dealer installation problem. Not a Suzuki problem. I’m not a Suzuki fan boy. I have had more Hondas and Kawasaki’s over the years than anything. This bike is a fucking blast in the street. And I have no plans of going off road. So for me, it’s all good. Be safe my friend.

How much HP does the rip it can mod add? :p Nice build, just did the rubber killers on my 06 sm and it really made a big difference.

I used the OEM tube. But I’d recommend getting a new one. I had to cut the grips off in the throttle. It was shitty .

With those mods does it cruise a little easier at 70?
70 is not a problem at all. Had it to 101mph. That’s as fast as it would go. But cruising at 65-70 is a non issue.

2020 drz400sm mods, sell and buy a bike that's worth a fuck. Drz owners are delusional thinking these bikes are worth modding. Spend the extra 2k in mods in another actual bike thats more expensive and better. It's a 350lb dirt bike. Its not good at offroad, its not good for daily use. Its not a good bike period

I really hope you like the bike I genuinely do, because I really wanted to like mine but man 20 miles on the clock and the throttle bolts all backed out...like ffs all the bolts were loose "new bike btw 0 miles" just not a good experience for everyday use. And offroad its heavier than lets say a yz250f its almost 150lb more than your average dirt bike. So its not good at street driving, and its not good at offroad.
@@russiancommy well These bikes come disassembled. If all your bolts backed out, sounds like a dealer installation problem. Not a Suzuki problem. I’m not a Suzuki fan boy. I have had more Hondas and Kawasaki’s over the years than anything. This bike is a fucking blast in the street. And I have no plans of going off road. So for me, it’s all good. Be safe my friend.
