    I can confirm that the 320mm chinese rotor is the business. By far the best brake mod on a supermoto.

    If you wanna FCR carb swap a DRZ, dont buy the $800 kits. Those are for suckers. Get a 400E intake boot and a used FCR39 from a blown up 250f. Dont be a sucker.

    Can you do a video on how to do the suspension settings you mentioned? I just bought a drz and love you guys. Have found nothing on how to.
    Cheers! From Australia

      Can you elaborate on your rear suspension setup? Given that there are four points for adjustment I’d like to know how you tune it in relation to the stock settings, e.g. high and low stroke speed and rebound damping. Or if you guys would like to stop by and do it for me, I’m down. 🤙🏼

    I vastly prefer the throttle response with the FCR, but I come from strictly off road and motocross. I need the bike to do what I tell it to, immediately.

    • @socalsupermoto

      what's weird is offroad is where i struggle with the fcr, specifially the slide moving landing jumps

      No preference there, I havn't been able to feel a difference between different lines. Good question though

  • @hrbestalkinme3690
    @hrbestalkinme3690 6 лет назад

    Best DRZ mod is take the spark plug out and put in a KTM. Drz is a good low-maintenance fleet bike though. Reliable and good enough for pavement. Especially if you're a streetbike guy. FCR is THE mandatory mod if you ride off road at all. Gotta have perky throttle response to shift weight rear quickly or lift the front wheel over whoops or logs/rocks hairpin corners etc etx. CV carb is junk off road. The E is the off road version and came with an FCR..

    How many miles are the bikes lasting with your abuse?

    • @socalsupermoto
      @socalsupermoto  6 лет назад +20

      oh man we have some 70k mile drz. Heads are usually what goes followed by rod bearings. I'd be out of business without the drz!

      @@socalsupermoto can you tell me more or less how long are lasting the rod bearings?? I got a 2008 Deezer and I have just done top end rebuild but people tell me rod should be changed after 30k km. Thanks. I'd love to come to your school but it's far far away from my country hahaha

      Stock gearing works fine for our students. For others depends on overall use of bike(street, dirt, track ect).
