Usually before or most people. But I always change mine at the beginning of the season, before the first fishing trip. It only takes about a minute each, to replace the fuel filter with fresh gas.
@@iburciot thanks for the video it was my first time using the fuel mixtures and it ran very smooth. I ran the boat at 1300 rpm’s for 15 minutes. I will do the fuel filters in the spring. I will prime the fuel filter with sea foam to blow out all the fogging mix
Yes if you live in new England or in an area where you have to stop the engine for more than 4 months yes but if you live for example in Florida and you go fishing regularly it is not necessary
No, a four stroke outboard is no different than a car engine. Really no point unless you just want to lube the injectors and valves. 2 strokes do need to be fogged since the fuel goes through the crankcase and lower cylinders.
@@muskyman3238 it's the same principle. I'd run fuel stabilizer through it long enough to go through the whole fuel system, same with injected. But, if someone wants to fog it anyway it's not going to hurt anything.
What is the material/size of the tube your using for fogging tank to the fuel line
Hello, please tell me what is the average consumption per hour for these two motors, and what kind of cable or electronic gas is there?
Cruising about 30 miles an hour that would be 10 to 12 gallons per hour Obviously depending on how much weight you have on

Do you think the gear oil needs t be changed at the initial 20 hours mark?
For your to be safe yes When you buy new. Yamaha offer you 6 years warranty but you have to follow the rules. Also oil is very cheap Good luck
Do you chAnge the fuel filters before or after the fogging?

is fogging a must for a 4 stroke outboard?

@@iburciot Guess the motors are EFI mode. If outboard is old curburated, fogging is necessary?
