Can I just say that I absolutely love your crockery, it’s all so rustic and just matches the vibe so well. Your videos are just so aesthetically pleasing ❤
wholesome! watching this while sitting in my own garden, not being able to tell apart the bird songs in the video and around me! It's the best, your homestead content mixed with some amazing recipes warms my heart, thank you!
Training for my first Marathon (October 2023) and have been looking for a decent meal prep to follow. This is PERFECT seeing as I'll be training through winter here in South Africa.
I started my vegan journey in February and your food is definitely what keeps me going🤗! Your recipes are delicious!!!! 🫶🏾 Thank you for your hard work Gaz
you've got a winning formula, the set up is so peaceful it reallly allows for all the energy coming from the food and the passion for the creation to sing and shine through. I find beets a difficult one to know what to do with, but im so eager to incorporate them into a regular diet, being reminded here again they are such vital food to make the effort with. Your videos are encouraging, informative and you have such an uplifting spirit, thank you!
The beet patty is amazing! I made it a little thinner to get more patties and more of a nice burnt crust around the patties and it is absolutely phenomenal!
You have so much creativity and have noticed how much more health conscious with the Superfoods you've evolved with your recipes!!! Am so inspired Chef!! Thank You for making plant-based eating so fun & delish!!!
I’ve been searching for vegan soy-free high protein meal preps and it looks like my search is over 🤩 it’s such a treat to watch you in your garden listening to the birds chirping and being fully immersed in doing what you love. You are so inspiring Gaz! Glad there are people out in the world like you! ☺️
Don’t know what it is but your videos are so wholesome and healing for me. I‘m struggeling in life lately and coming to your channel always soothes me. Love your passionate uplifting nature!!
Absolutely DELIGHTED to see in your homestead, Gaz. Been following you since the (almost) beginning and it's so inspiring to see your growth. Noticed that you're one of the few who is growing straight from the ground--no raised beds or containers. It would be excellent to see videos on: 1. Why you felt your soil would work (is not toxic and suitable for growing) 2. The cost of various projects like the greenhouse your dad helped with, any gardening supplies, etc. 3. The overall cost of starting, maintaining , and expanding your garden.
These look incredible! Thank you for sharing the whole experience and process with us and a special thanks for the fact that these are soy-free for those of us with soy allergies which sometimes makes hunting for vegan recipes challenging. Cheers!
I've never had butterbeans so I want to try out that dish - it looks amazing and hearty, perfect for now as it's winter here in New Zealand. Thanks for sharing these recipies
Such a treat for all the senses watching your videos love the sounds & nature & your vibe of course, only wish i could actually be eating the food right now! I do have 2 of your cook books so i guess i need to jus get in the kitchen but still is amazing your nature kitchen outside & homegrown food 💚😍 i aspire to have something similar going on eventually!! Thanks for living your dreams & sharing your gifts with the world, so humble & real, down to earth dude 🙏✨ we appreciate you Gaz need more peeps like you in the world 🌍😊🙌✨ keep shining bright xx
@@gazoakleychef Gaz, what's the white sauce you garnish the burgers with? and what yoghurt did you use for the banana bread please! love these recipes.
I'm very grateful for these videos, I'm a Muay thai fighter and I just finished a tournament feeling really inspired to have a plant based high protein diet...but I didn't know how I could get the amount of protein I need per meal. These videos have really helped me see that I can pack my meals with awesome proteins that will fuel my training and help me make weight. So thank you!!! I also really appreciate how simple youve made the meals and the advice you offer if we need to substitute an ingredient
Gaz you are such an inspiration. Been learning for years. I want to grow my own ingredients and have homestead similar to you. Thanks for bringing delicious recipes, farming and living together.
Love it Gaz! You are our favourite vegan star :)We have 6 kids and we are all vegan , all the kids love to watch you videos you always make us smile and it is so amazing that you at at the level where you can cook the food you are growing:) what an inspiration for youth xx keep up the good work Love from Spain xx
It all looks great! Lovely video! Watching you cook while I'm waiting for lunch to be ready makes me SOOO hungry! How has your garden grown so fast? Here in the PNW of the US, It's been pretty cool (about 14 degrees C.) My garden is poking along! Did you know that fig leaves taste like coconut? I don't want the fat in coconut, so I make fig leaf tea and then blend cashews into the tea to make my "coconut milk.'
Your videos make me so happy. You always have such amazing recepies and your excitement is very contagious! It's wonderful to watch you cook. Also your garden is very impressive!
I love your excitement of the banana bread. I love a good banana bread and this is a good recipe redo. The Italian stew looks delicious and all the aromatics probably have your neighbors ready to come and get some of what you’ve cooked.
Gaz, thank you for this, recent vegan conversion after confronting a serious health issue(it actually confronted me) and amazed how fantastic vegan cooking can be. Being Type 2 diabetic I'm following nutrition protocols that minimize fats to enhance insulin sensitivity, really excited to try these recipes as I'd like to see if it's possible to put some muscle back onto this 59 year old meat cage. Cheers!
I’m not vegan, and I rarely cook recipes from videos I watch - being honest here. But I absolutely love your channel, it’s my favourite! Especially since you moved to the countryside, I’m loving the gardening and homesteading and the chilled vibe, along with your passion for ingredients and food. Love it!,
I am not much of a cook (a bad one, actually), but I love how passionate you are about cooking and your humble, honest and sympatic style. And I love that your recipes are vegan. Thank you, Gaz!
Your recipes are genious, I have already ordered a book! Thank you, I already eat plant based, but need some good tasty recipes to introduce it to my family who decided to eat healthier (due to many health issues!) Menu of the day is this glorious beet burger. And I just loooove your garden, amazing. Thank you Gaz!
You have some great ideas for plant based meals. I'm certainly going to try some of them. My only point, being a fellow veg grower and self-sufficient wanna-be, is could you consider using more fruit and vegetables that are seasonal. Your last recipe used leeks, but our leeks from last year were dug up months ago and this year's leeks are the size of spring onions. Your veg plot looks amazing btw.
Kia Ora Gaz, I love to see your enthusiasm with your recipes and the nice country sounds and Vistas. Back into my winter weight training some time now here in N.Z. Big fan of beetroot, hard to beat. Have 3 times a day with garlic, radish, hummus, beans and other veg. Nga mihi nui.
When I tell you all you should RUN, not walk to the kitchen and make that bean stew, I'm not kidding! I made a few minor changes with what I had in the pantry (added soy sauce and dried sage instead of fresh and used canned butter beans), nothing too far away from the original recipe. My partner completely devoured his portion and literally cleaned his plate with some remaining bread, like we all used to do when we were children. On my end, I'll be sure to make it with dried butter beans next time, since Gaz's final result is creamier than what I achieved with canned beans. I already bookmarked this recipe and will share it with my family and friends ❤️
Hi Gaz. Are those chive blossoms I see? You can harvest it and put it in a glass jar with white vinegar. Let it sit and strain after a week or so. It makes the most amazing vinegar for salads etc.
I made the beans for dinner today and it is my new favorite bean stew recipe! Absolutely delicious. I paired mine with some roasted zucchini with the homemade vegan parm on top.

Looks amazing. I make my breads and cakes with coconut flours, and other non-wheat flours. I also add seeds and nuts, plus raisins for sweetness rather than sugar. Rich, nutritious and tasty.
Those tiny spice pots 😍 The banana brad looked spectacular - something between a carrot cake and a banana bread with all the warming flavors and added seeds!
I *almost* skipped over the first recipe bc I DO NOT go for banana bread, but this...(minus the banana on top) I'm going to try! I'm for sure sharing the recipe with my dad-he can do banana bread daily. Second recipe = MOUTH WATERING. Ahhh, I'm starting with that one! And THEN...you can't BEAT a beet burger! 😁 Thanks, all looks ridiculously simple enough and extremely satiating and delicious.

Gaz, this banana bread is insanely good! Thank you! My girlfriend thought I was nuts that I was so excited for her to try it, but she just messaged me saying it's the best she's ever had
Wow, these meals look truly amazing! The banana pudding bread caught my eye, as it's one of my favorite dishes to make. I can't wait to try it this weekend! However, I noticed that self-raising flour is used in the recipe, which doesn't seem like the healthiest option. Do you have any suggestions for a healthier alternative for this particular recipe? Also, I was wondering if you host private events where guests can sit in your beautiful garden and enjoy your delicious home-cooked meals? It would be a perfect stop for my next visit to the UK. I must say, again the filming and scenery are absolutely spectacular!
Yay a burger that might actually taste good and is good for you too! Definitely trying this one. And the banana and well ok, all of them! Watching your productions are super entertaining and calming. Your passion for cooking comes through all the time. Zillion watt smile and super positive energy. Love it!
Since the move your content gives me ‘River Cottage’ vibes. I grew up from the age of around 14 completely glued to Hues content, helped me understand the garden to plate to a young lad that had none of that in my life at the time. Great stuff pal
So the super beet burger look excellent, the beets when cooked make a great addition to burgers. I was wondering if you would be able to bite through that entire burger and you did. The heirloom tomatoes look so delicious, as soon as you brought them out I knew they were heirlooms. All your produce in the burgers were to perfection. Bean burgers are delicious and your recipes all look delicious. I had to comment again because I didn’t completely finish the video before commenting prior.
I just found your channel...and will keep on watching... To harvest the seeds on your lettuce U need to cut off seeds after they had formed into a brownpaper bag then close then peg them up on a clothes line or somewere it gets alot of air...to dry them out...if U leave the seeds on the plant the wind will take them away never to be seen again...as they are so tinny... Please tell us the seeds type you grew for the watermelon also u can pickle the skin of them aswell...
I cant wait to try all these! Gaz we're also plant based and growing more of our own veg and fruits each year as we learn. You should try growing butter beans, they are great to keep dried and use as you want all year. Two varieties have been great performers for me, Spagno Bianco and Greek Gigantes, they are types of runner beans and boy do they run! I wrote down your beetburger recipe on the website, but you said add the tomato puree but its not in the ingredient list, how much do you use? And can I sub some of that coconut oil in the banana bread with apple sauce? We're reducing oils as we can. Love you channel and i remem er way back when you had your dad on!
Just wow! I'm not a vegetarian but I'm so going to cook your creamy beans and bean/ beetroot burgers!!! They look absolutely amazing. Thank you for the inspiration, Gaz!
