  • Everyone's favorite double-stack 1911 just got a little better. The Quantico HiCap has a new grip module! Made out of carbon fiber, kevlar, and other scientificy-sounding things, the new grip module is stronger, slightly thinner, and more aggressive than the old- while still retaining the classic double diamond looks!

    Probably will pull the trigger for this gun soon. I carry the staccato P for duty and absolutely love the damn thing. Unfortunately, ACW isnt an approved for my department, but hopefully one day that will change. In any case it will be awesome to have a high end 2011 that's capable of duty use.

    E-Man…… I hate to say it, I really really do. But that thing looks almost exactly like the new trash gun from Girsan, the “2311” I’m still waiting for you to take a page from Dan Wesson and the DWX, and give me a 1911 or a double stack 1911 with a CZ Shadow 2 grip and a full length pic rail. Please, for the love of the almighty .45 acp shooting Lord, please 🙏🏻 and a direct mount red dot cut, no stupid plates.

      Wrong. the Girsan looks like the ACW which looks like the gen 1 STI grips. ACW didn’t invent the double stack double star grips. STI was the first to do that. A shadow 2 grip is likely not coming to the 2011 platform any time soon. Don’t hold your breath

      @@Richardjohnson6969 it’s not just the grip, if you put cocking serrations on the front of the slide, then it looks almost identical to the Giana that hit the scene at shot show last year. And in my opinion the DWX basically is a 2011 with a shadow grip. It just doesn’t have the grip safety that most people pin and get rid of for competition shooting anyway. I don’t need to hold my breathe, these days you can make anything on a CAD program and 3D print it. It won’t be long before people are printing custom 2011 grips like hotcakes. I actually know a guy who gets his own custom aluminum 2011 grips made for every single gun he has. The sky’s the limit, the market doesn’t control the consumers, the consumers control the market. Didn’t you ever watch the field of dreams lol if you build it, they will come 👍🏻

      @@Bryan-1980 ACW made their gun first. The DWX is quite literally not a 2011. It has a slide and a frame. 2 part gun, 2011’s are a 3 part gun. Sick get your buddy to print one then!

    • @Bryan-1980
      @Bryan-1980 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@Richardjohnson6969 I know when you say “2011” the first thing people think of is a 3 piece gun, while forgetting all about the double stack 1911’s that came before them, the ones that were 2 pieces just like a 1911, with a wide body frame, and a slide. The Caspian double stack frame is close, with its blended built in magwell that also gives a bit of a pinky extension. I just don’t it like that to pay thousands for a custom one off piece. It would be countless hours of R&D on a computer before you could even try to make a plastic prototype and then fit and fix and get all the way to a full steel frame lower, and. It just a slip on grip.
