It definitely is something special to get this many people together and make something truly mesmerizing. Could you imagine this on a huge vertical video wall in some lobby? So badass.
I would put the top 100 on a building in each big city square. Make people miss their busses by just staring at it. Such a cheap and easy to implement thing. (Cheap if it’s a small billboard on the side of the road or something)
Easy enough to just take a large monitor/television, rotate it 90' and change the display settings to match. Throw a tiny raspberry pi on the back or do whatever mean to provide the video to the tv. Mount and press play on a loop. Then the +1 is to just frame out a protective encasement, paint, and now you got something that could pass as a mass produced item.
Try to imagine: Every 7.5 Seconds of this 3.5 Hour video is one new world that was totally thought out, planned and built from scratch. It's impossible to imagine how much work went into this video.
Pretty modest average would be 40 hours per clip. So if someone dedicated their life to a project like this, they'd spend ~40 years to create something of similar scope and length working 40 hours a week.
44:50 , 40 hours of work, for a 7 second clip, to be included in 3.5 hour epic montage with an extremely creative community. Hands down would do this again! Learned so much. Thanks for all that helped along the way!
@@anytng2077 I thought about it. But the final idea was to try and be true to what a 'Rube Goldberg' machine is intended to do...perform a simple task in a complex way, which in this case was snipping the wire to defuse at the last second. Hope I was able to build that suspense!
@@MattZipper Okay, I understand your point of view. And I do really like the concept of it! Now that I think about it, it would have been nice with some dust or rust to attain a bit of history/story behind the work. That's a good feeling but to be able to share OTHER people's work in a way like this. I honestly couldn't think of a more honorable way to create.
I haven't seen this amount of creativity in one place ever before! Thank god I'm in the 3D community.
A pleasure to see what comes out of this individual yet ultimately collaborative effort. The fact that each one represents the time dedicated to it by experienced and accomplished artists but also of those who are maybe just beginning their journey is great!
Wow, I'm so mesmerized by the everything! Such an amazing concept, awesome artists.
I MADE IT, so happy. I had tons of fun and learned to much. Waiting for the next one!
