TFJ has a lot of nostalgia for me. I remember a few singles but Oh No was really what sold me on wanting the album - I had also got Roots free through iTunes (when they still did free song of the week). I think my favourite tracks are: oh no, mowglis road, obsessions, the outsider and numb. The title track is probably my least favourite song and wasn’t on the initial release (in the U.K. anyway). There is a track Seventeen that I adore that is on the US version that I’d recommend finding at some point.

Sometimes debut albums are like a bunch of songs that 'might be IT', but this album, although to me is not cohesive, it offers variety; EH was cohesive and had variety, this album didn't feel random, rushed, unprepared. And it has deep lyrical content. Like, I didn't know 'Shampain' meant Shame + Pain. Maybe you're right, I'm getting used to it 🤣 Or maybe it's because I started re watching 'The Crown' and my ears are... I don''t know how to say it... I blame that show 😂
If you like punk Marina you should listen to her song Space and the Woods, it's from this era but not on the album, I'd say it's the closest she has ever gone to screamo lol. Also love her song seventeen from this era.
