i'm not supposed to say it, but my trek dealer confirmed me the Emonda is going to be discontinued as such and replaced by a lightweight Madone that will fit bother aero and lightweight purpose, announced in late June right before the tour. the sticker seems mainly for marketing purpose

As a Triathlete I have thought that the Aero road with that handle bar to easily add aero bars would be the perfect bike for a Triathlete to have something for training, group rides and racing.
Me too! I was heavily considering buying the aero-handle bars and gear groove tri-bars for my Canyon Endurace from 2019, but now I may just consider getting the new Aeroad instead and then down the line get a nice pair of aero wheels if I want to do long distance triathlon.
They apparently gave a new Aeroad to Bottas (F1 driver and in his spare time cyclist/gravel rider) too. He was spotted in Monaco last weekend with an updated version of the bike
Funny thing is that current Aeroad was launched Late 2020 but only available to buy in 2022. So 2 years after it was rolled into production they are changing the frame again.

That seat post😂😱. Where I live - Los Angeles - I’m surrounded by hills and mountains. I love riding avast gravity. I value light weight over aero. It’s not any easier on a lighter bike. But I can go faster than a heavier one.

It seems to me that the shape of down tube of new Trek Emonda is very massive or wide. Compared to new Canyon Aeroad or other bikes. What shape is correct?
Have to say the Pinarello is gorgeous. I can afford to buy it but I'm not sure my extremely modest wattage output can justify it. Be a bit like driving an F1 car around town....
Not in my opinion. But to each their own.🙃Pinarello‘s design language never really appealed to me. After finding the last Trek Madone a little too bulky, I am pleasantly surprised by the new Trek bike though.😊

I've got a dogma f10, and frankly, although I really want one of these new bikes (obviously...), I always seem to get stuck when thinking "why spent so much on a new bike when I already have such an iconic bike???" (also, I do love my wife, and spending an insane amount for a bike will probably cause mayhem at home.....

From the Dogma F12 onwards, shift and brake lines (except the front brake line of rim brake units) route through the headset assembly, making any headset-related work take much longer and cost more due to the additional time required to recable the bike. Your Dogma F10, takes only minutes to replace the headset bearings and less than an hour to service the bearings since only the steerer tube goes through them, assuming everything else is fine.

there really arent any light weight bikes anymore.. my 2016 emonda slr8 came in at 5.5 kg stock with aluminium wheels... and this wasnt even a top of the line model. so it makes sense that they are getting rid of emonda and just calling it madone. emonda has not been light weight for since 2nd gen.
I don't think 5.5KG is accurate for your '16 Emonda SLR 8. Though, the frame & fork weight are extremely light (690G frame). For reference my '19 Tarmac Ultra Light has a very similar frame & fork weight, with complete bikes under 6.3KG/14 Pounds. I enjoy a light weight bike in the mountains!
That Canyon is IMO super cool. It's only a tiny change, but since that bike is already one of the most aerodynamic bikes on the market, imagine how cool it would be having the ability to put on already adjusted TT extensions from the Speedmax using just one or two screws. That would make it a very capable time trial bike for most people as well and presumably for lower price than the standard Aeroad and a second hand cheap(er) TT bike as an addition.
The Madone, I really really REALLY love the water bottle cages. Hot damn that is sexy with it not being tied to the bike or proprietary bottle. Might have to get a couple for my bike if they are coming out soon and have a reasonably priced option. I agree that this is supposed to be an all-rounder used for any race condition. Predicted it all the way back when it was first leaked and everyone was up in arms about it being an Emonda. And love how they aren't going ultra crazy with any one thing in particular, just a full paint job on every bike. Another thing I give Trek props for is, (blinged-out) bikes for all players! I absolutely hate it when they only have one or two bikes for the key players and left everyone else on the same bland bike as before. I love that Trek is digging all-in on this ethos with them being a main title sponsor. The new Pinarello, you are scaring me out with how low that BB is compared to the structure. That scene of an exploded BB at the start of a MTB race is still not out of my memory. Canyon and Wilier, no comment. What's up with that thing around the bottom tubes though? Never noticed it until now and it is on every bike shown. I also like that bike stand thing shown for the Trek bike.

Of course the differences ain't that big so a monster like Tadej will win anyway. Heck I can bet he would win the Giro on a 1990's retro bike with a 8 speed Shimano 105 with the legs he has ;D Wide tires are forced upon because the disc brake requires wide stuff, ain't no secret to that lol. The whole era of discs in road bikes is nothing more than an awesome idea to make tons of money - from a pure racing perspective it's utter garbage and rides like absolute trash. You pick up a top end bike from 2018 and you won't ever want to ride a disc brake one again. Cheers.
@@SamuelBlackMetalRider Last year on the TDF Pogaçar rode with 31mm front and 32 rear, real size. It's a huge aero handicap compared to Vindegaard who rode on 24!!! and tubular. On the chrono bike UAE used Aerocoach wheels and the tires were not aero optimized as recommended, big optimization error (its front rim, the most aero was optimized for 23 mm they have put 28 ...)
Interesting to see the trek running a sram UDH derailleur hanger. Means people can run "mullet" setup with the sram mtb gears in the back, or the new sram xplr 13gear groupset spotted at unbound gravel.
Problem with the dogma sense the f12 is weight just can’t get to that 6.8kg , it doesn’t really look lighter but hopefully,,I going to update my f12 probably to sl8 unless the dogma frame is in the 600gs

Weren't the Zipp 454's on the Aeroad also new? They seemed slightly different from existing ones.

The best benefit is customers don't need to scratch their heads finding the right hanger, they just need to ask for a UDH in any shop that stocks it.
