I have an uncirculated two dollar bill from the late 70’s. My friend , who worked in a bank, gave it to me for one of my paintings. I never thought it could be worth more than two dollars and probably isn’t. Enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on rare money. Fascinating. Ann from Va.
My grandparents gave all of us $2 bills for every occasion, they continued with my children and then my grandchildren. I have them all in a safe. I am definitely going to put on my gloves and go through them. I have collected coins my whole life, as does my father and my grandfather. My children have followed my path and now I have my grandchildren doing the same... if nothing else, it should be worth face value.
As a US currency collector, I appreciate this particular video. Good job. Not very likely to Ffind a US, red seal note in circulation. The Red Seal makes it stick out like a sore thumb.
Oddly, not for everyone. Along with 10% of the male population, I have Red-Green color deficiency and the difference in color is hard to make out. We'll just have to read the banner above Jackson.
Correction but I have seen in school that they are one of the rarest bills in the world there are only around 1.2billion, 2 dollar bills compared to all the other bills there are but if you do want to get 2 dollar bills just ask the bank that you go to and tell them to take out 2 dollar bills or at least that's what I have heard but idk
I had an inverted $2 bill I got in 1976 while working for a bank. I kept it till 1990 and sold it for 1800. Wonder what it would be worth today . Bill was in uncirculated condition.
I just found a $2.00 bill from1863 from the Chattanooga bank from my mom’s stuff she had ..she was born in 1916 and her grandfather fought in the Union Army during the civil war .. not at all in good condition but hey I’m just happy to have it ..
I've a friend who used to go to the bank and ask for 20 or 50 dollars worth of $2 bills, he would then tip waiters and such whenever he went out, he said it was a lot of fun to see their reaction cause they thought it was cool. Sometimes a younger waiter or waitress had never even seen one before.
My mom has quite a few $2 bills. She gave me some. I put 2 of them in the self check out at grocery store, after asking the clerk. It accepted them and even deducted the price but then the whole machine froze up and wouldn't work. The manager said they see a few from time to time.
It’s ironic that some people will probably think that getting $2 bills from the bank now will make them rich one day, when in reality, they’re just decreasing the value of $2 bills for everyone 😂
I was told by a Numismatic that if you find loose proof or mint coins and or bills, they were either stolen and used or inherited the people didn't know what they had and just spent the coins and or bills.
I have a several 1/2 dollars coins that are in very good shape. They look kind of like the satin un-circulated coins, that come directly from the mint. A couple of them look almost like proofs. I'll have to dig them out, and look at them again. And yes, that is exactly what I thought. They were either stolen, or someone was broke, and cashed them in.
I have a mint condition 2 dollars bill minted in 1923 in great condition that is gold backed. A total of 5 each, purchased them in 1974 for 50 dollars. Each of them are in mint condition with no creases or fold conditions, they might be worth a good value. My favorite is mine 1863 greenback 10 dollars in good condition with a center fold and a dog ear corner in the upper left corner, but is good and in fairly good condition.Thanks.
After 1:24 there were a few frames of what looks like a special commemorative with lots of color and Cumberland Island National Seashore. I don't know much about these, I wasn't aware there were limited edition $2 bills. Sadly, $2 bills don't circulate, at least not in my neck of the woods. I've literally never received one in change.
I got a stack of uncirculated $2 bills and seem to be miscues, thinner on top and thicker on the bottom and also the indentation on the back of letters like it was mis struck without ink, they’re all 2107 A series. They also seem to have ink blotches here and there.
one time i was working at Dunkin’ Donuts and a customer paid with a $5 bill. me being a person interested in older money checked it out and it was a $5 bill printed in red from 1953 with a red star. another time i went to the store and bought cigarettes for my dad, when i got the change back the clerk had given me a blue one dollar bill from 1930s. I’ve never seen or knew such bills existed and still have both till this day

I have 2$ note from mint. Never in circulation. Value 2 $ nothing else. But it's what others are willing to pay for it makes value. Not for sale. A quick reminder: value is what one will pay for.
I have a 2 dollar bill autographed by Bill Jenkins, Ronnie Sox and Dyno Don. Bill's comment to me was 'where did you get that bill, at the horse races?
Hi, I was wondering how to go about seeing if my $2 bills or even some old $1 bills are worth anything? Is there a website or someone I can email? Thanks
While watching this video I decided to look at my $2 bills. One of my raggedy $2 bills has legal tender red seal. It has Series 1928 G on lower left. Tiny piece is torn off on bottom right. I am wondering how valuable that $2 bill is.
the tiny piece torn off of the corner indicates that this bill was used at the race tracks. Bettors would tear off a corner of the bill to identify the bill to signify that this bill was used at the track. If they received the bill in change they would save it to use at the track again. These bills have a very small premium or just face value.

Hi! I have a $2 bill signed by Herbie Hancock back in 1984-85 when he came to Japanese restaurant where I used to work for dinner. I 'd wander how much it worths? Thank you
Back in 1976 the postal service printed a four stamp series representing the signing of the Decoration of Independence. Several of my co-workers were buying those stamp sets and pasting them on the backs of $2 bills, thinking that would increase their value. For whatever reason I followed along and did the same to four bills I had, Was that just a waste of money and possible decrease their value? I don't recall now what the cost of the stamps were. The other thing we did was to have them all post marked at the Kennedy Space Center post office. Are these worth saving ?
I have around 20 old two dollar, and one dollar bills. I seen on a video about a 1928 that was printed on another bill and it has a serial number on the back. I was wondering how much somebody wanna it’s for. And how do I go about putting the rest of them up for auction? Thank you! Just trying to raise some cash, I think I heard it 20 times to beat inflation.
What if you have 2 with back to back serial numbers. I got 2 that one ends with 929 and the other 930. Extremely rare i feel to find two back to back out of thousands. Right? Are they worth anything together perhaps?

Since they're often just counted quickly and by the corner, they more often go unnoticed unless they're looking for something.
