I always flower for at least ten weeks. Increases total yield by 10-15%, and allows the trichromes inside the bud to fully mature. Harvesting at 8 weeks is sub optimal and all of the serious growers I know always flower for ten weeks.

Garden looks fantastic. My girls LOVED the Buildaflower. I cut my Dr. Earth by half and use 5 handfuls of Buildaflower per 10 gln every 2 weeks during flower
    Thanks again!

when using the jewelers Loope make sure it is literally touching the bud you are trying to look at. It has to be stabilized to whatever you are looking at. i just use a fan leaf against the nug and i can get such good close ups with a $3 jewelers loope

I’ve heard old timers and ppl that listen to old timers say that you don’t determine ripeness by trichome, but rather bract. I heard Duke Diamond say on the Potcast(I think) that trichome maturity cycles. Obviously at a certain point they all reach maturity and begin falling off, but some strains can be harvested earlier or later & often the trichome color is similiar at certain points in these cycles. The hairs turn from white to a more earthy color, and the bract swells around those hairs. Once the hairs have nearly been swallowed by the bract is it considered “ripe.” Every strain is different but some are easier with larger bract size, etc. Love the videos! ❤️💪🏻

I almost cut down my FIRST plant way TOO EARLY! I have fought my way through molds, fungus, mildew, three different insect invasions, soil pH problems, transitioning from synthetics to making my own organic teas, 100’ temps, 90-100 % humidity and now controlling the light on my deck (blacking her out for 12 hours and more issues as well. Your help has been PRICELESS. And I almost cut her down what I’m now estimating 3 weeks too early. THANK YOU SO MUCH. P.S. , she had a PREYING MANTIS living at the top for over 2 months but she disappeared 2 days ago 😟
