- Celtic have an incredible opportunity to go big this summer.
We're the current League and Scottish Cup holders. Financially the club has never been better placed. We're guaranteed Champions league football in the season ahead. And we may be on the cusp of recouping £25M+ for star man Matt O'Riley.
There are very few risks in finally pushing the boat out.
But, will the powers that be make the moves that would take us to a new level?
Will they back Brendan Rodgers accordingly and show the same level of ambition that he and the fans desire for the club?
History tells us no. Optimism tells us maybe. But someday soon someone will have to start telling us something, as yet another summer window rumbles on!

Last year we lost our first league cup game. How did that go over with the support. It seems like some of us want more transparency so we’ll have more to complain about.

Very quiet so far but still time to get this window right
With Lawell at the helm, we won’t do anything major in this window. Lawell is a business man and a good one at that, but as for being a Celtic man, absolute nonsense. He will do just enough to keep us just ahead of rangers, that mentality can’t always happen and will come back to bite us one day.
Can understand the frustration Davie and we really have to be setting our sights higher.
This summers window priority was getting first team ready players in for the champions league. We have the pull of offering that to players this season but next season we have the champions league qualifiers to negotiate before we start the domestic stuff. That will be harder again
to attract players to and will mean we need to get players in sooner which we know won’t happen. I fear like James the board are looking across the city and forever just want to be better than them. With them in a disastrous state I think the board will sit in the money and fail Brendan again.
I really hope we're not benchmarking against Rangers @danielle - if though then that's tantamount to gross negligence!
Sorry guys, but the fans are part of the problem in regards to bring youth through. The fans can't handle any discomfort or give the patience needed to bring few youth players. You are all kidding yourself here.
Furthermore Celtic/Rangers aren't seen as attractive propositions for quality players.

This club needs a fans voice on that board. This is our club. This is our lives . This is our passion. Celtic fans need to voice they're discontent from the very first game ay parkhead and let these charlatans on our board know they've had long enough now. Its time now for a big change at our club . The frustration has to reach breaking point , sooner than later.

Celtic don’t want stung again after Barkas scenario. think Sinisalo will get game time to keep him fit and match ready for taking over if he proves a good keeper. Kasper needs to be on his toes which should benefit the team. HH
Yep, agreed. Think its a good move all round. If Sinisalo is an ambitious young keeper (which he seems to be) then he'll be looking to push Kasper all the way for the No.1 spot this season.

Teams will be trying to take advantage of Celtic’s financial position which is what you’re seeing with Idah. This is one of the main reasons a publicly traded company shouldn’t have £80 million in the bank with teams knowing they’re also about to get £50 million from the Champions League and £20+ million from O’Rilley. If I was the other teams I’d be asking for 30% more than usual too. This board are inept.
Great point guys..fans will get bored due to no competition but mostly bevause of the refusal to find new european rivals. A new owner would not be an outright owner they would be majority share holder and for me 100% we need new leadership with serious ambition. The desmonds have zero ambition and just want celtic to tick along without needing them to have anything to bother about. A new ambitious major shareholder would take us to unprecidented hights (without the need of "pumping cash in")
Ps suggest all prepare for BR to walk again if signings arent provided! The question then is are we all prepared to take the fight to the club or just sit back and accept it?

But Celtic should be signing in the odd 10m playr for better quality and a striker should be one of them along with a better central defender than likes of Scales he who is not good enough for Europe . Celtic also raked in many , repeat many millions for Jota , he who was on the wing and have never replaced him , and should have spent out again maybe 7/8 m to try get in better calibre than the cheap signing they made only spending 1m approx on a winger which is not on really

I repeat we spent out 6m on Sutton and 6m on Hartson decades ago and 6,5m on Vickers few yrs back now its way time in yr 2024/5 soon that club brought in a cple of between 7 m nd 12 m signings which shall be better calibre in need for Europe ahead . Todays a different ball game , but we have more millions than ever before , and way time we upped the anti in todays football World and paid more millions as said on a couple of players who would be that bit better quality in need in the years 2024/5 .
Have say also not happy signing a goalie at 38 yrs of age which is way over the top , yes its fine id say for a goalie
who has played a number of yrs at top brought in at say 30 yrs of age , but bring in agoalie who shall have yrs ahead to come
with some good experience in there , already a guy who has shown he is pretty good say between ages of 24 yr old or a 27 yr old with a fair number of yrs in front of him who would cement his place firmly in the team . One left back (Taylor) and one striker (Kyogo) - both positions should be priority, with centre half not far behind.
