Was standing with my kids in Byres Rd, picked them up fae Notre Dame was pissing down right under the Hillhead Library for shelter, who walks by us across the road, Mr David Hayman, he hears me shouting " hello thats the guy aff the telly" he waves back and says " hello kids are you just out a skool are you ok oot the rain" My two kids blushed and have never forgot that moment, God bless you Mr Hayman.
im only 15mins in and my hearts bursting with awe of this man . what an absolute selfless human being he is a god send to this planet 🙏. we do not inherit this earth from our ancestors we borrow it from our kids 🫶💚🫶
Brilliant pod as usual, chapeau to ACSOM for highlighting David Hayman’s wonderful charity. Hopefully they receive a huge boost for their good works as a result. Hail Hail! 🍀
Hayman is one of our finest actors, he is also such a humble guy. I met him on one occasion in the Station Bar in Glasgow and he was absolutely amazing. Took time out to speak to me and was so kind. He is also morally on the right side of history when it comes to football and politics. Unlike that crook Galloway who was in the other week.
My first theatre experience was when our English teacher took a group to see David Hayman as Hamlet in Giles Havergal's and Philip Prowse's controversial production at the Citz in 1970. Suddenly, after five minutes of thinking, "I have no fucking clue what's going on here", the penny dropped. I was mesmerised and we shook the rafters when the non-existent curtain came down. I loved it. I "got" Shakespeare and absolutely pished my subsequent English exam. That play changed my life for the better and I'm eternally grateful to David for that. It's a bonus to know he's a Celtic supporter too.
What a delight to listen to David Hayman, an absolute inspiration of a man - the opposite end of the spectrum from that narcissistic careerist you had on the show the other week.
My earliest memory of David is him in a play on BBC at Easter 1986. His catchphrase was 'we are the people'. He's still one of the good guys. I love his views on Africa. The most talented continent on God's earth.
Hi Paul John / Tommy , thoroughly enjoyed your interview with Rose Reilly . Hope you got my comment , went to school with Rose both at St. Columbas Primary and St. St. Josephs High , before it became St .Josephs Academy . We also attended Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Primary from 1963 . Bhoys the three of you had me in stitches at times and Rose brought back dome great memories to me . The next time you see her tell her until yesterday I did' nt know I went to school with a REAL ICON . I was a bit younger than Rose ( she might have known my sisters Ann and Elizabeth or my brother John as St. Josephs ) .Anyhow God Bless and I bet Rose is singing 9 in a row today after that result at Pittodrie ladt night . HAIL HAIL from Johannesburg ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️💚

Fabulous watch. I love David Hayman as an actor and it’s a major bonus to have known he’s a Celtic fan, but I was unaware of all fantastic charity work - what an inspiration and example. Great guy and fair play to him.
Absolutely marvellous. What an amazing man. Thanks ACSOM, Paul John, Tommy and ofcourse David. I now live and work in Hong Kong but saw David at The Citizens 40 year ago. Inspirational.
First of Great watch and listen. Love dave hayman and his work. Very interesting listening to his story so much I never knew about him. What a hero 🙏🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Great show, Tommy just heard the Lebanese Ambassador on LBC contradict the point you make about Lebanon. The Lebanese ambassador to the UK, Rami Mortada, said: “The British Army is a very close partner to the Lebanese armed forces. They have been very active on training, providing equipment and technical advice. “Specifically on the situation in south Lebanon, the UK was also very proactive in trying to play its role in what we refer to as the de-escalation scheme.” The scheme is led by the US and considers how to prevent an escalation of skirmishes between Israel and Hezbollah near the Israel-Lebanon border, Mortada said. Lebanon’s armed forces have been trained by the UK for years, although little is known about the program. The British government has long hoped that by building up the capacity of the armed forces, they would be in a stronger position to maintain security than Hezbollah. Mortada has said the armed forces would not “stand idly” by if Israel carries out a ground war on Lebanese territory or mounts an extensive aerial attack.
That's right, Tommy is woefully misinformed. It is also important to make the distinction between Hezbollah and Lebannon. The former being a religious extremist organisation. Also worth noting that Irish forces have been stationed in South Lebanon the past 20 years to subdue Hezzbollah.
That hideous ‘honour’ is giving to those that obey and never question the establishment, a subliminal recognition by the Chivalric Masonic Order, so much so, that the majority of its receivers don’t have the slightest clue they are being played as a pawn ♟ Only those that operate at a higher consciousness know this, which is why they reject them; Bowie, Lennon, Harrison, Lydon etc.
Wonderful Hr of great chat. I drove a black hack in the mid 90s, Glasgow, worked Byres Rd in the West end. Every other night young women would get in and 'say, Stobhill Hospital, eventually I asked what's with you young girls and Stobhill,? I learned that David was directing something or other and that was the shoot if you like.. Fare then was around £5.00 quid and I gave the girls a receipt for £8 or thereabouts. I'm sure David won't mind, probably puled that on occasion hahal. Good man, now looking up the Charity.
A good man focuses on doing good ..Think 5 in midfield might be worth a go . However Reality is that there is no perfect formation.. We have tried to be pragmatic many times over the years been hemmed in and battered, Barca 7-0 comes to mind . Steve Clark’s pragmatic approach against Germany 5-1 could have been 8 . But think I would still try 5 in the middle of the park against the Italians it’s worth a go
I hate to go down this road, but the talk of Bible John and not knowing who he is, really pisses me off. Peter Tobin was bible John. 100%. He attacked a girl who lived in the next close to us and was then let off to commit another two murders....
No it isn’t James. Elements of discussions with fellow Celtic fans will include wide-ranging topics from film to music to comedy to politics. Our discussions on ACSOM have always followed this route from episode one in 2017. And we won’t be changing now 👍🏻🍀

I don't think we have a squad for 3-5-2 but I can see 3-4-3, 3-5-2 only works if it defends as a 5-3-2
Changes his drawers every time he farts!
We are all typecast as drunks and hoodlums
