I don’t understand any Celtic vlogger being excited by being linked to players. This Celtic board have shown us in the past not to trust and the rumours may be masking a lack of real, focussed activity. In the last years, we have also had expensive EPL loans and they have been major disappointments. We have clearly waited to sell O’Riley before making concrete bids. There was no reason to take this to the last minute and a few days before a derby. The question must be asked of the board what they plan to do with the on-hand cash and how they intend to improve recruitment.

Hail Hail lads. Thanks for a great podcast again. Regarding Man of the match. Reo Hatate deserved that one. But I sometimes wonder what kind of performance would CCV need to put in for that accolade. The man is almost faultless at the back. If he hangs around for the season I would predict that he will get player of the year. I hope he does. In both respects. I know I've been considered a bit of an oddball when confessing that I've never been a huge Matt O'Riley fan but now the club is going to get c£30m for him, and the team is still purring along nicely, I now feel slightly less oddballish! I do now think Hatate has a chance to really shine for us . Though he has been poor lately amidst all the O'Riley hysteria I do think with Matt leaving this will give Reo more freedom to display his undoubted talents and become much more of a presence. A promising start on that score yesterday for sure!
