I always saw Johnny’s house as a hodgepodge of stuff he stole from his parents, contractors that were charging cheap and building cheap, and Johnny is just waiting for making it big to make improvements. Lol Surviving on your own is an ugly process.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE continue this series! I tuned in every single time on The Sims 3 ones, looking forward to each new episode and god knows i'll do the same here. I think you should just go chronologically.
36:57 The Sims 4 actually does have pianos in the base game, but I can see why you would think otherwise considering they left a bunch of other stuff out
It's hard for me to keep track since I dont play it anymore. I noticed that some things were added to base game as well, (like pools were before), I am most impressed with the NEUTRAL (THANK GOD) colour swatches to base game build objects
I couldn't agree with you more about the Landgraab house. Who in their right mind thought that was a good idea? It looks like an early 70s US fire station on steroids!
Maybe you could do some of the smaller worlds together? Like Magnolia Promenade with the vacation worlds, Granite Falls and Selvadorada. The 3 occult worlds: Forgotten Hollow, Glimmerbrook and Moonwood Mill. My vote for the next ones would be for that first suggestion I made: Magnolia Promenade, Granite Falls and Selvadorada. Also, can't believe you didn't point out the giant giraffe toy in the Caliente's dining room. It always makes me laugh whenever I load into that house😂
Thank you for the fridge/oven thing! Every single build (even Simmers’ builds) seems to have them next to each other and it’s such a pet peeve of mine - you don’t put ‘thing that makes hot’ right next to ‘thing that makes cold’! I don’t think any of them has ever seen an actual kitchen LOL!
@@stuffwithsoph8264 the flat I'm currently renting has the fridge and the stove next to each other and an ugly brown and baby poo living room, it feels like living in Sunset Valley 😍
All the green grass in oasis springs just makes me wonder which lakes in the area they are destroying to ship water into the area to water their dumb lawns Lmao
I like these overviews! I think you should do all and chronologically. Don't forget that builds that came with Get to work also include Science Lab, Hospital, Police Station and Sixam so there is a total of 7 lots to review when it comes to Magnolia Promenade :)
Actually sitting area in the office is great idea IRL. If you work from home, you can rest there, instead of your living room, which avoids mixing your feelings towards what is home and what is work, like many people working from home struggling with.
I think the sitting area in the office is a good idea, it's just that by the time we get to a good seating area, they've already added 4 in other places that didn't need to be there 😭
OGChris is here! Loving this new series! I'm impressed with the roof cut outs on the second house. Which sims 3 neighborhood is this one reminding me of? I can't place it.
Hey I noticed at the end of the video you said you can’t do an episode on magnolia promenade, well there were three hidden lots that came in get to work (hospital, science lab, police station) so maybe a mini episode of those and the retail lots?
Hello from Spain! I love this series. I have never seen every build and enjoy your rating of them and your humor. Glad I found your channel and look forward to and hope you continue through every world! Thank You!
Yaaasss! Another neighborhood where I've only played the cheapest house and never looked at the other residences or even the commercial lots except for the bar. I liked seeing them for the first time, even though they're filled with the bad base game furniture. It would be fun to see Windenburg next!
Maybe you could do new Sims 4 world when it comes out (Tomarang) or do it in chronological order (a small episode on Magnolia Promenade and two part episode on Windenburg)
I modified the Agave Abode to include appliances, dining tables, and beds from Jungle Adventure, along with a wall mounted TV and two computers. All of the houses that I have modified used items from the High School Years, Nifty Knitting Stuff, Desert Luxe, Jungle Adventure, Luxury Party Stuff, and Home Chef Hustle packs, the last four of which were obtained for free as part of special promotions or giveaways (the home chef hustle was one of them). Using the counters from home chef hustle stuff and the sofas from desert luxe Kit made agave abode way better than it was in base game but it caused it to lose its status as a starter home. I did the same with the Crick Cabana and Daisy Hovel homes in Willow Creek and LaSuli Point in Copperdale, with Daisy Hovel being expanded to two stories.
I actually prefer Willow Creek bc it reminds me of New Orleans which I adore. Plus I hate the orange lighting in Oasis Springs. It drives me bonkers. I hope you do Windenburg next it’s my fave bc each neighborhood provides a different living experience. Maybe you could combine Magnolia Promenade with the other smaller worlds. I look forward to checking out your Willow Creek video.
I think in real life, the new Orleans style is by far superior. It's just not the best style for the sims 4 base game and build mechanics I think. Nor any sims game haha
It would be nice to have some of the smaller worlds all together in an episode. Like, maybe, Glimmerbrook could go in a video with Forgotten Hollow and Moonwood Mill. In that way you could do Magnolia Promenade... with Granite Falls, maybe?
I'm assuming they broke the pre-made paper roll positionings in one of the patches as they're not supposed to be this high up each time. Just like they definitely broke that Willow Creek gym's shower walls in a patch.
See I like houses I have to "enhance" because I can make it fit the sim and add in stuff that they find or make or need for their job, or whatever. I guess that's why I'm mostly ok with the only barely ok starter houses. Johnny's house I always thought that it was "reclaimed" furniture and that's why its such a mix mash. I think the most I played the "roomies" was Zoey was one of my sims bestests bff's. That's all I got for them. OMG, you said the EA catch phrase "It's so pretty" for the world. And I always say afterward, "But we need more than pretty." Whenever I'm playing now I can't use certain browns and greens because I hear you in my head saying "baby poo", lol.
8:57 6 for this is crazy to me but i think it is cuz i HATE DESPISE LOATHE the hipped roofs with no extended eave oasis springs is one of my fav worlds but i dislike most if not all prebuilts. i love the mid century modern homes in the mid-range tho
final comment: i love the midcentury vibes, dislike the mediterranean ones a bit (personal style choice). i truly believe oasis springs brought out my innate love of midcentury n clean lines w the rafia quinta neighborhood
This video explains one reason why I hated playing the sims 4 and reverted back to 3. Plus I couldn’t figure out how to easily expand the prebuilt houses 🙄. Also the green is overdone and overused. It’s too time consuming to go through and fix every single house just to play.
"In fact I mostly like desert worlds, because I live in Canada." Interestingly it's somewhat different for me. I live in the Ruhr Valley (Germany) and because of this I instinctively like any place that looks like it and often try to build like it in the Sims. "Why do I keep talking about the Sims 2?" Because it is the superior game. Okay, maybe not in build mode, but the gameplay is much more fun. Alright 20 minutes in, I'm pleasantly surprised by the scores. Thought they would be much lower... but perhaps the worst is yet to come. But it's weird how the starter and uninhabitated homes have more style to them than the Sim houses. As if not making the Sims interesting wasn't bad enough.
It's weird because when I first visited Las Vegas, I was stunned that the earth was an entirely different colour 😂 maybe that's why I like deserts. Conversely, if I am in a greener world, I love playing in winter and snow I'm glad you enjoyed the episode, thanks for tuning in!
One thing that drives me insane about The Sims 4 is everything looks so Minecraft-y, boxy and basic. I like the grittier look of S3. Another thing that drives me insane is when I watch your videos I always try to pause it with the tilde key.
Oh here's something else that drives me insane. The roofing is illogical. When you have gables meeting like a V the drainage will be awful. One house had the slope go right into the courtyard and wouldn't it be SPLENDID to get rain pouring into your courtyard? :P
The FIRST EVER house I reviewed 2 years ago in sunset Valley, it was "Asilomar" and I commented exactly that! The roof will just collect all the water and it's either leaking into your house or dumping all the water on the outside space 💦 😭
In The Sims 3, most ugly houses could be easily renovated using the Create-A-Style tool and picking better colors and textures. In The Sims 4, there are some houses that are unfixable unless you rebuild a huge chunk of them. Most roofs are ugly AF. Thank God the gallery is so easy to use, because it would be torture if I had to renovate those houses myself.
Hey friend. I have played Oasis Springs. But only liked Yuma Heights and would renovate it when I did live in it. And would some times play in the Landgraab house too. That is one ugly house too. That's why I prefer Yuma Heights.
Yuma Heights is my favourite too, it is the most ready for you to move in whoever you are playing. I wonder if the Sims 3 Landgraab house recreation would fit on the Sims 4 lot
