A Huge Male Leopard Sighting || Masai Mara || Wild Extracts

- This is by far one of the biggest leopards I have ever spotted in the wilderness; he is literally the size of a lioness!
Named as Split Nose due to an injury he got about three years ago in the Masai Mara National Reserve, he is with no doubt one of the biggest males in the Reserve!

African leopard is huge especially those found in East Africa specifically maasai mara and serengeti.
but persian and sri linkan leopards are lager than african. both species reach 100kg
@@TGuunn1 East African reach 100kg as they are same size Persian leopard.....in terms of size....but have one reach 100kg..

@@mcchoco1019 maybe... depends on the region no lion means bigger leopard. For example Persian and Sri Lankan Leopards are Apex predator in the region

Juggernaut of a male Leopard.
Looks every bit as big as Anderson. (And Anderson was almost literally the size of a Lioness - pug marks were often mistaken for that of a Lion & he was referred to, in some circles, as a “Lion with spots”).

@@firedrake7663 its not from South Africa, I believe its from Kenya and his name si Kali, I read in the comments the safari guides have seen this big male after this encounter, he survived, Ive seen plenty of videos with people praising the Anderson and Cam pan male leopards, this one Kali is the biggest by far, the lionesses dont dwarf one bit

Lionesses weigh 120 kgs. This male leopard is not 120 kgs, 100 kgs at best

An average male leopard is to much for a female hyena! A leopard like this one would annihilate a female hyena!
@@impower3134 big female hyena could be too hard for leopard to kill. If leopard lost element of surprise I don't think it will fight hyena head on.
@@spawn11 Depends on many aspect/ Btw. spotted hyena has almost no possibility to kill male leopard. She can only defend.
@@marekjarek8185 Defend until the leopard runs out of stamina or runs away lol. If Leopard cant finish fight instantly (under 30 seconds) Either they run away or Hyena wear him out eventually killing him.
