    Is there an arrangement of files to use to smooth/finish etc. the metal? What's the arrangement?

      The shapes of the files and the placement of the teeth help you to determine which file will fit or work on a surface. The "arrangement" or order of the files is determined by their "cut": not by their shape. Start with a course cut, like a zero cut, to remove excess solder, smooth a surface or increase a ring size. Then, move to files of a finer cut to remove file marks. Follow this up with sanding and polishing. 😀
