Don’t know if it’s been mentioned but if you’re going to be up at 8,000 plus feet in elevation I would leave everything hitting a little low cause at altitude everything will hit high. Awesome video Chris

The mathews title 38, the new target bow. Has the phase dampening in the limbs, carbon Bridge lock stabilizers and some other new features. Levi Morgan and Dan McCarthy shot them at the last Asa round. Excited for the hunting bow release, heard rumor of a new cam but idk could've been bs lol.
When you were shooting at 50, 60, and further out, were you using your bottom pin or your fixed middle pin?

Good luck this year! Could we get a video of how you set up your sight tapes on a three pin?? Especially running dual tapes what your thoughts and process is for getting them dialed in
Elk shape has a video that answers that question better. But pretty much zero in at 20. Mark the slide with a marker. Then same at 50 and at 70-80. Mark all zeros on the slide and pick the tape that fits best

I enjoy “running through the program” fairly often. I, however, reverse the order. I shoot at the farthest distance first and walk in. I feel like if there’s a chance of my form changing due to reps, the effects aren’t shown as much the closer I am.
I hate how I am super confident that everything is on.. Go shoot one last "final check" and it's not and I have to start back over. 😂 Awesome video CB! All of us know the feeling!

You mentioned soray painting yours yardages..... thats what i do on the asphalt but in the yard i recess painted 6" pavers ao theyre just under flush. "Permanent" yardage markers

Elk hunting is my dream. Just wish it wasn’t a fortune to do it. And it lands right smack dab during the busy season for work. Someday for sure.

Are you shooting a raptor peep usually? Always wanted to try one and haven’t yet. Having trouble with alignment lately and its getting fuzzy at full draw with a not so clear full eclipse. Eyes are still really good and younger-ish
Hey man make sure you test an actual deadmeat broadhead. I missed a good buck this year due to the actual broadhead not flying good. It shot perfect with the broadhead "practice" tip. Ive always loved the deadmeat broadheads but ill never use them again due to that. Good luck and awesome content you provide

Why the deadmeat over megameat? Does it fly much worse being that much larger then the DM?
I struggle to hold my bow steady after a few shots. It was tough to sight in my spot Hogg.
That last adjustment when you moved the top pin up and 3rd pin down, how does it match up to the tape 20 and 40 now? (Seems like if you are moving the pins, how do you stretch the tape?)

Can’t wait to see some deer hunting but still nice setup
Personally no matter what broadhead it is I just have a hard time feeling good about shooting expandable at elk. I’m sure there’s no reason a good one should fail, but for whatever reason I feel like it’s bound to happen. I shoot Magnus Black Hornets at elk. They shoot great and tear things apart! The down side is that there pretty big and barely fit into new quivers! The new quivers are nice and compact, but not great for medium and large fixed blades.
Im a part time wild game butcher here in New Mexico and ive seen several elk killed with the dead meat broad heads

@joshuasweet1532 it was a comfort thing with me. I'm shooting a rx7 and love it. But I shot mathews for years and if the bows I tried would have felt better to ME than my rx7 I'd still be shooting mathews
I easily have over 1000 shots through mine, still looks new.....

People have killed everything with sticks and sharp rocks. I love how so many people are always needing the latest and greatest. Get good at shooting your bow and you will be successful.
Just cause you don’t want the latest gear doesn’t make people who do wrong. Besides that a lot of people look to Chris on his impressions of all this gear

So can you not have your sight stop at the top to to set your 20-30-40 spot quickly?
All depends on your peep height. I have seen people do it but 98% of the time you sit somewhere in the top half of the sight scale
How is that bow so quiet? I have a vx3 and it’s way louder than that.
What release are you going to be using?
What is the brand of extension cord that is connected to your range finder?
Exactly the same weight as my moose arrows.
Only difference is 200 grain up front total.

Is the 350 spine not under spined for your poundage and draw length? I am by no means a Ranch Fairy person but just trying to understand for my arrow set up next year.
I'm no expert, but I also thought it might be under spined or at least on the bleeding edge of being under spined.
