Hey man I’m new into the dirt bike game.. I recently got a Lifan 150 cdi pit bike and was wondering how often do you clean your air filter? Also how often would I have to change my carburetor?
Hey I have an engine like this and I’m wondering what the hose that goes into the filter is for? Do I need it or can I put a filter without the hose peice
By the way bro, i have a very similar bike, if i have to ride it in the desert (with big dunes and stuff) is a mesh cover protection enough for the sand? You can google ‘universal air filter cover’ to understand which cover im talking about, Thanks
I would go with a 2 stage uni air filter instead, oil it to the max. For the mesh filter like I have in the video, sand could easily get through the cracks.
My filter is stuck on there and not budging I don't want to just yank on it and maybe damage the carburettor or something does anyone have any advice? it's a new bike and haven't had the filter off yet
Did you remove the clamp? You can also use a screwdriver and try and pry around the rubber part that’s on the carburetor, just be careful. Or grab the filter and pull it outward while wiggling it in differently directions.
first filter is not fully dry, water will get sucked into the engine. Second, thats a paper filter and should not be oiled, it will clog up the pours. This should be "how to NOT clean a dirt bike air filter"
$15 to clean it around 20 times. For a new one $5x20= $100 what’s your point? Still uses it the same cans I bought a year ago and I’ve cleaned my air filters many times.
Bro finally a video which shows how to clean this type of filter, good work!
Dude, your dirt bike looks SO GOOD
Glad to see u making videos and glad to see the bike still going good I’m thinking about getting one this summer keep up the good work bro👍🏻
malcolm17 thanks man! Yeah go for it
Bataha I’ve always wanted one so I been thinking really hard about it I would have got one last year but I bought a 2010 Dodge Charger rt
Nice dude, I’d say save up and get one it’s worth the money. Hardly any money for maintenance. Just screws and some cleaners. Really good on gas too.
Bataha yea I bought my charger for 4K I was going to get me a good one but decided I need a car more
Great Video! Been trying to find a video on how to clean on of these air filters. All the other vids on yt are ab the foam ones
Great video You should make one about changing the fork oil
Thank you! Doing this for my SSR 125.
Do you have to use that spray or can I just wash it
Thanks for this, my friend really needed his filter clean and this will help him.

Na bro you don’t change the carb you js clean it when the bike bogs or has been sitting for weeks
i never ride on dirt i only ride on my neighborhood street, so do i have to clean the air filter still? I also only ride it for like 10 mins a day.

@@Bataha thanks so much, will get it done. New to all of this so im still in the learning phase
@@tahaali4795 yeah man, I’d even recommend a sock cover over the oiled air filter, that might help keep a lot of sand out.
@@Bataha thanks man, I’ll let u know how it goes 😁
Thanks for the vid man
God bless bro thank you
Where can I find that filter
This filter was the stock one. I'm sure you can find one just like it on amazon.
How you start it

You fr? Is there a video on how to do it? I was about to do exactly what this said.
I’m 2 years late but you don’t oil these style filters, oil is only for foam filter
True
15$ to clean it but 5$ to buy a new one lmao what’s the point

@@idkwhoiam8419they are saying we shouldn’t oil these types? So what’s the truth?
