Bon appétit les amis!
I stand the lamb loin chips on the end bone edge so they cook evenly on both sides - pre-heat and oil the chops first, then air fry at 220C for 12-15 mins to overall crunchy and OMG deliciousness - yeah baby ! The extra caveman factor is eating one at at time on the cutting board while the others continue to crisp up - so each one is eating hot and sizzling to max pleasure
Yes, I used to stand them up too. They often dropped to one side so I tried them flat and found that it keeps them a little pink in the middle which we prefer. I imagine you like yours more crunchy than us. It’s brilliant that the air fryer is so versatile as far as times and temperature go so we can all find our exact match recipe. Bon appétit mon ami!
I've got the same airfryer. I'd serve them with new potatoes, carrots, green beans, cabbage and homemade yorkshire puddings. 😋
That’s sounds like a perfect Sunday lunch to me! If there’s a bit of gravy going too, I’m definitely popping up! Bon appétit!
@EatLikeAFrenchFamily the perfect yorkshire puddings recipe. 140 grams of plain flour, 5 medium eggs, 200 millilitres of full fat milk and a teaspoon of salt. Method. Sift the flour into a bowl and add the salt and eggs one at a time and whisk to a paste consistency. Add the milk into the eggs and flour and whisk until combined and transfer to a jug and refrigerate. Pre-heat the oven to 220 degrees and put the pudding trays with a little lard or dripping into each one and place the tray into the oven for 20 minutes. Carefully remove the pudding trays from the oven and pour the mixture into each compartment and place back into the oven for 25 to 30 minutes without opening the oven door. Always give the mixture a little whisk before pouring into the hot trays. Let me know if you try the recipe and how they turn out 👌👍
I've subscribed aswell 👍
Thank you very much! My Yorkshire hubby would be very impressed indeed if I managed to make Yorkshire puddings! I have saved your comment to have the recipe for next time. Thank you, it is very kind to spend time to share it with us. Now everyone who looks at the comments can make them too. I love that we can share all our cooking tricks with the world.
@EatLikeAFrenchFamily me too love. I'm a proud yorkshire man with a lovely lady and 3 grown up kid's and my first grandchild on the way. Life is all about sharing and i love to cook various meals for family and friends 😋. I hope the yorkshire puddings turn out well for you and your family 👪 😊
Perfect
Thank you. I have just made another batch with garlic butter, so very French indeed! Bon appétit mon ami.
Um you pre heated for 4 min, cooked for 5 on one side and 6 the other side. That is a total of 15 minutes. Why do I set timer for 25 min?
Thanks for the video. But is it 25 mins, or 6 & 5, total 11?
Hello, yes, it is 5 minutes on one side and then 6 on the other side, 11 all together. The 25 minutes cover the 4 minutes of preheat, the 11 of cooking and a bit of time to turn them around in the middle. This model of air fryer relies on the draw being fully in to heat so even if the timer is still going a little at the end, as long as you don’t put the empty draw fully in, it doesn’t heat anymore. Bon appétit mon ami!
this chop do you have any spicy add
In France we would eat them with just salt and pepper most of the time but you can add all the flavours you want before or after cooking them. Bon appétit mon ami!
What temp were you cooking at ?
200 degrees Celsius. It’s the highest temperature on my good old trusty air fryer. Are you cooking them tonight?
@@EatLikeAFrenchFamily yes made them tonight they were very good thanks only got the air fryer this week.
Oh! Perfect! Is it the same as mine? I actually convinced a lady at the till in Sainsbury’s to get the same one recently. She was having a last minute hesitation and was about to tell the till attendant to keep it. I couldn’t help jumping into the conversation and told her about the channel too. I hope she is as happy with it as I am.
Ooh NO U EATING RUST...U CAN USE FOIL...OR BUY A NEW ONE
I know, saving up for the next one. It does seem to be getting worst.
@@EatLikeAFrenchFamilytry using a cake tin at the bottom if you get a larger new one..
Yes, I do that quite often. What’s your favourite thing to cook in yours?
@@EatLikeAFrenchFamily I have only just bought my one and tried parchment paper and tin foil which I found slowed down the cooking process. I went into Tesco and saw these Teflon cake tins and tried cooking garlic bread and chips which speeded things up a bit. I suppose that's because the tin holds the heat better. The real test will come tomorrow when I cook a steak in it for the first time.
Yes, the air needs to circulate well.
Uv got nothing on em!!
I know, they are delicious with just a little bit of salt. Adding herbs and spices is nice too but not very traditional in a French family. What do you put on yours?
@@EatLikeAFrenchFamily whole range of spices from, tandoori, achar, cumin, chilli, mint all in a oil based marinade
@wazza13utd Waoo! That sounds like a different flavour every time you have them! I love varying meals too.
Bloodyhell you're mean with the sea salt. It wasn't even worth opening the packet 😣
😂 if I put more I get the opposite comment. Enjoy with as much salt as necessary!
