  • If you're looking to frame a deck, there are a variety of options available to you. One popular method is to use a temporary joist and beam system. Here's how it works:
First, you'll want to use a laser to find the ledger height where the temp post will be. This will ensure that your deck is level and sturdy. Once you've determined the correct height, you can install a temporary brace on the joist. This will help hold everything in place while you work.
Next, you'll install the joist at each end of the ledger and in the middle. This will provide the basic structure for your deck. Then, you'll install a temporary beam to the temp post which is attached to the joist. This will give you a stable platform to work on while you install the remainder of the joist.
Finally, you can install the remainder of the joist using the temp beam. This will ensure that everything is properly aligned and secured. Once the deck is framed you can plum down where the post will go and dig the caisson with pression. With this method, you can frame your deck quickly and easily, without sacrificing quality or safety.
