I think the charger network for boats is better than you'd expect. The term "Shore Power" comes from boats and is used to charge the house bank of batteries on boats when in their slips. It's common for people to live aboard their boats in the marina so they absolutely have power there. I think a lot of it may even be 220 power.
Please do create TFL boat. That would be awesome, there's really only a few big boat reviewers out there, there's definitely a market for it...
Also the Sea Ray 370 with twin 600 Verados comes "well equipped" for $1.2 million.

I don’t want or need a boat but I like learning about them and the technology. Very close to the automotive world. Maybe TFL boat should be a thing. But you would need more staff or someone who lives where they can test boats.

TFL boat is a great idea. I've long thought that TFL Bike could also support watersport things as well like jetskis and small jet boats, but a main boat channel could work as well!

I love the Dodge Banshee. That CAT 770 I believe its has a diesel Generator that produces Electricity to the Electric motors that moves the wheels. Like a locomotive. Mr twinkies himself.
there is no electric motors in the wheels, this specific model is mechanical driven

High amperage power is readily available in the marine market. Sort of like RVs large boats use shore power for high power systems like air conditioning. Lots of charging options turn key ready for electric boats.

Google says the Sundancer 370 OB starts at 750k. Can easily be equipped after engines and stuff $1.1-1.4M. With all that new tech in it, probably more. Not quite 80 ft yacht level, but not cheap.

What John Deere was showing on that 120 ft wide sprayer was their See N Spray technology. Through use of multiple cameras, it identifies the weeds in a field of corn or other crops and only sprays weed killer on the weed, not the crop. It greatly reduces the use and cost of chemicals. And, BTW, those long arms, called booms, can fold to about 15 ft so the vehicle can go down the road.
John Deere hates farmers and locks them out of their own equipment.
You guys should tour the factories where they build the CAT equipment. I’ve toured the facilities and they are amazing.
I had the opportunity to possibly work in a nearby quarry driving one of those dump trucks. 80+hr weeks mandatory made me refuse the job. I chose to actually see my family.

Went to CES for the first time for work and unfortunately didn't get over to the automotive sections. After watching this video I'm really kicking myself for not sneaking off to see all this cool stuff.
YES, PlLEASE…do more boats! There will be a major “wave” for electric boats as they are quiet and non-polluting. Many lakes will stop permitting ICE boats. Electric power trains are great, but they are putting them in traditional hulls. Since the batteries and motors can be distributed and even be a structural part of the hull, we should be seeing much more innovative designs like hydrofoils, no?
The boat shows just how poor the RV industry is at advancing technology. The TFL boat could maybe hit the jetski market, get Tommy and his little puppy out on a jetski. Awesome video gents. Be safe.
As guys that love technology you would have loved learning about that John Deere sprayer. If you think tech on the automotive world is on the cutting edge agriculture would blow your mind.

They do. It was introduced by Volvo Penta back in 1982 as Duo Prop, so it’s hardly a novelty. It was pretty embarassing to hear the Brunswick rep not knowing something as basic as that.

Brunswick owns SeaRay and Mercury. That little Merc electric "7.5" motor is actually only 750watts of power. Thats equivalent to a good e-bike motor. The little boat and motor cost about $1000/foot or $13,000.

I watched a triple seven Cat roll past me and then over a slope. Landed on it's side only because the operator had the sense to raise the bed as he was heading backwards towards the edge. I saw look in his eyes when he went by me. Cause was a brake issue.

Love the Sea Ray with the Mercury V12s. The Charger EV, not so much. I think Dodge is going to bomb with that, but we'll have to wait and see.
That CAT truck isn’t even a big haul truck. 400 ton 797s is where it’s at but probably wouldn’t fit in there or worth the effort to squeeze it in.

I have to agree with the Toyota CEO. EVs are not going to take over the market in ghd near future unless a huge improvement in charging speed and the ability for an EV to tow or haul 7-8 hundred miles without charging. Right now it’s ok for people who commute shorter distances. Hyundai article points out that the way they advertise batteries lasting 10-20 years is that you only charge a few times a month not every day. Well here in thd US people have to charge daily and that hurts life of the battery.

Why does Roman keep asking about the SeaRay engines? Yawn. Boring. I wish TFL had covered the batteries, what loads they serve, and how they are charged. Does the system have solar, or just alternators for charging? The electric Mercury outboard “engines,” with and without integrated batteries were interesting.

I am Not watching TFL for Boats. Only a small percentage of people in the USA can afford a boat much less any of the boats they would put on display there. You have always been about cars and trucks. In this video it seems you were avoiding those until you arrived at Mercedes. Is there nothing there that every day Americans can even begin to afford to buy?

Overall electric vehicles are still going to be priced above most consumers, the charging Infrastructure still isn't great here in much of America, the range on most electric vehicles still isn't worth the much higher cost. Personally I am still only looking at Hybrids, less expensive up front, better overall range and I don't have to sit at a charger for an hour or more. Also chances are when I go to the Gas Station, the pump will work. Even in extreme temperatures. Ford has already proven Trucks aren't useful as Trucks when they are electric. Towing, heavy loads, extreme cold temps make them local vehicles only really. Not to mention the prices are simply too high.
I do worry about all of the technology to run these electric cars. Too much to go wrong...
Leave boat reviews to those that know boats. You two don’t seem to know much at this point, so it comes accross as uprofessional at least. Do you know that marinas are all wired to provide shore power for boats and that boats are equipped with chargers for engine and house batteries already? And those counter roatating propellers at the beggining, are not just for show, that is how they function, just look up volvo penta duo prop. Sometimes its better to just not provide a commentary and let the representatives do the talking.
