    I wish the rack builder program would allow multiple leg pads and the drop in dip bars -- be able to purchase through out reps catalog . Include weights and a bar in the rack builder option. I’m pulling the trigger on a rack soon and see a paper list and a phone call happening vs the builder program with the flexibility of your racks.

      Another unique feature with our rack is the width - a major complaint was when racking your barbell on competitor's racks... the tolerances are too tight when loaded up with plates causing a lot of people to have to be too careful when re-racking or hitting their plates throwing them off balance. At 47" width, we've solved this problem. Unfortunately means that width dependent accessories are not cross-compatible, like our new patent pending integrated belt squat attachment.

    I have a question for one of the Rep Fitness representatives. Will you at any point in time be making a flatfoot base version of this upgradeable style rack? Just out of curiosity due to the fact that I just recently saw the garage gym reviews thorough assessment of the stellar fitness masterpiece and that review has seriously prompted me into buying my first rack from Rep Fitness within the next month or so. Thank you for your time and consideration I look forward to hearing a response soon.

    • @REPfitness
      @REPfitness  4 года назад +2

      Hi Westley! Great question. As of right now, that is not something that we have on the horizon. However, the front foot extensions and rear base stabilizer would be a perfect alternative because they help improve the stability of the rack when not bolted down (which is the main benefit of a flat footed rack). Those attachments can be found on the page for the PR-5000 V2 (www.repfitness.com/pr-5000-v2). Hope this helps!

    FYI for anyone thinking of buying the standard J-Cups. The new ones DO NOT have UHMW on the bar contacts as shown in this video. They now have a cheap piece of rubber that is barley hanging on by one screw. I know because I just received mine in the mail and was less than impressed.

      @@REPfitness I was already told that Rep was trying out a new design and that that's just the way they are. I was posting the information so that other people considering buying the standard J-Cups know what they are getting since its not described like that on this video or on the website. The standard J-Cups have have UMHW on the area of contact for the uprights but the bar contacts are rubber not UHMW. Not a deal breaker, just information.

I was so impressed with the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoRH6D cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B

    How far back are the bolts recessed in the plastic on the j-cups? Beautiful rack!

    • @REPfitness
      @REPfitness  4 года назад +1

      The plastic is countersunk to allow the bolt to fit in tightly. It is hard to give you an exact number, but we can tell you that - when tightened - the bolt head is recessed enough in the plastic that it will not interact with the rack. The plastic lining is all that will be touching your rack, so you can expect long term protection. Hope this helps!

      We always recommend bolting to the floor for added stability; however, with the 30" depth and no added storage, it is not required that you bolt the rack down. As an alternative, we'd recommend the addition of our rear base stabilizer that you can purchase that will reinforce the integrity and sturdiness of your rack!

    Is this the 30” or 41” crossmember depth?

    • @REPfitness
      @REPfitness  4 года назад

      41" cross member depth. 47" depth upright to upright. About 50" footprint (the feet). You can check our website and it's the second photo in the scroller of photos that has ALL the dims of what each attachment will add, etc. It's a great reference point as you build out your custom rack.

    Will you be making a version of this exact rack in 7gauge steel? I've been wanting precisely this rack design. It has all of the features and available accessories I'd personally design into it, other than being the now typical 3x3 11ga. Used to be a few manufacturers that made 7ga. racks, including Rogue and Sorinex. Now you can't find a heavier than 11 ga. Traditionally styled 3x3 rack anywhere. If REP builds it you'll be the only company currently carrying a true heavy duty home power rack anywhere.

    • @REPfitness
      @REPfitness  4 года назад +2

      It's true... 7ga is rare... but that is because 3x3" 11ga with 1" hardware/pins is already SUPER over-built for fitness purposes. But it's the higher end industry standard, and it means you'll never have to upgrade again. As soon as humans start squatting 3,000 lbs, we will make a 7ga rack ;) Sorry Paul :(

      Hi Pablo - Since this rack is completely customizable, the weight will vary depending on the configuration that you choose. The weight will depend on upright height, rack depth, the inclusion of weight storage, as well as accessories you choose to include!

    Is your lifting equipment made in the United States?

    • @REPfitness
      @REPfitness  4 года назад

      We manufacture globally. All of our gear comes from all over, and it could change year to year. We source the best quality and price since it's mostly machine welding/cutting/bending for this type of gear. We always design our equipment in-house in Colorado, along with our logistics, customer service, sales reps, warehouse team, managers, etc.all in Denver Colorado.
