  • What a tough build this turning out to be!!! Attaching the exhaust required quit a bit of modification to work. After that I was able to marry the engine with the chassis without to much trouble...well kind of! The coolant hoses that are part of the intercoolers didn't even fit to the chassis mounted radiators...had to forfeit two parts because of this. The only constellation was you would never see this once all is setup.
I can see more problems down the road but at this stage we can only take it as it comes!
Anyway prepping gearbox and rear suspension parts next...
    Hope you enjoy...chat soon...cheers Mark

Despite all the worries the engine and very beautiful, did you make montages in white before gluing the pots? Good luck for the future.

@@MKCAUTOMODELWORKS My question and: did you make a collage in white. It's a technique to place the parts in place without making a permanent collage, it's just to check that the parts fit perfectly. Sorry for my English which is not my language.

Hey xxavier5369...No worries! I get you now...Yes, I do normally pre-check fit on the main parts of the model. But on smaller bits of this kit I did not bother because of the fact its a Tamiya and they usually go together quite well. This one does not!!! Its almost like they sculptured the parts without considering the black side air vents intakes on the turbo...that's how it looks to me. I will make a video showing what I think the problem is in my review once I have everything together...anyway all part of the fun! Cheers Mark

Yea, all your work is gorgeous. And your right. Some kit manufacturers. Seem to only manifest a pile of expensive crap. And when you ask them why. They answer with, you must be a beginner. Any thing to blame some one else. It’s even worse when they run the injection molds to the absolute end. Money has become far more valuable than any sense quality or even a moral obligation to the customer. As they keep raising the price per kit. To cover there depletion of consumer confidence in the product. All that’s left to be said is, remember when? Yea there not around any more. They use to be the best. Yea they just went to shit. They use to be really good, but there not even around any more. So goes there epitaph.

As you know, from my own experience, this part of the kit assembly was challenging to say the least. Not one of Tamiya's best I think.
