My son and I built a plane model the other day in 2 hours, lost all the propellers and was painted all blue; still the best time ever. Wouldn't have done it without your inspiration. Thanks!
@@thatmaverickguy859 I agree. I used to build models as a child and enjoyed the detailed hand work. I eventually become a gunsmith. Retired now but I always looked forward to going to work and loved my job. My brothers used to say they hated their jobs so I felt very fortunate.
I remember getting into modeling when I was a kid, with my Dad. I still have the first model we made...a waterline Kriegsmarine Graf Spee. It's in terrible shape but a lovely memory.
For a military vehicles builder, you're certainly very talented with car models. A lot of armor/plane guys will build the entire model and spend hours painting parts in place instead of seperately as intended. Two totally different styles and you've nailed them both.
My father took me to Brands Hatch that year, I remember this car so clearly, it was my second favourite after the Surtees Ford driven by Vittorio Brambilla who was my father's favourite driver, and who I am named after. F1 racing then was so much more exciting, and the noise was incredible.
Building the model is the easy part, but I have to say. A model isn't a model unless you can paint and understand how to use paints properly. Your models are extraordinary sir. Thank you.
What memories! Mario Andretti's car, that car was the forerunner of ground effect, I still remember it on the tracks, when Formula 1 was a real competition and not the dirty monetary circus that it has become now, a shame ..., excellent model and construction work as always, greetings from southern Argentina.
Hello PLASMO - plastic models, That was "FREAK'n AWESOME!!" I watch this video 2 times, such AMAZING Details! Always a pleasure to watch your super cool and fun video builds. Thank you so much for sharing your Hobby with us. You're my FAVORITE Builder and Channel! Liked and Shared as always. Peace 😎✌👍Take care and Be well! 👌
Thanks. I enjoyed the kit. The model still has a lot of mistakes because it is my third formula one model, but I am glad you like it. The next video will be after the holidays, so thanks for your patience. 😘
as an auto modeler primarily I’m glad to see you do another car, especially a beautiful formula one kit! always a pleasure to see you elevating these classic kits 👏👏👏 well done
No joke, after you asked for model suggestions in your B-29 video, even though I didn't comment it, I was hoping you'd do a Formula 1 car or something. This happens to be one of my favorites, so very happy to see this. If you're looking for suggestions again, maybe a modern F1 car on the same scale? Would show how massive the cars have become over the years. This Lotus is quite a petite car, but the modern ones are so big that no team has even come close to the minimum weight limit rule. Some have even resorted to stripping off paint, they're so desperate for weight savings.
That was the most beautiful gran prix cars, I had a HO scale slot car and built the Tamiya model in the early 80’s very nice to see that car is still a relevant model today.
new sub here,. I have no idea what algo sent me here, but I'm glad it happened,. nice work, its all in the details. I have a few rare kits, that I wouldn't give up,except to you.
Hi David, your channel is the first one which trully inspired me to follow and do this hobby. 1 year later I've built my 5th scale model, and even started making RUclips videos out of it, and realised is a hobby for life. Keep up the good work and keep inspiring people!
Absolutely stunning. One comment I want to make is I see everyone scrubbing the tires to make them look rougher. Brand new slicks are very smooth and very shiny, so there's nothing wrong with leaving them as is. If the final model is super clean and super polished it would make sense for it to be on brand new slicks.
FIY the wires used for WIFI transmission from the antennas to the WIFI module inside laptops have that braided texture. Excellent for making small details.
Another great model! For the fuel lines, to make these even more realistic I use to push some mixed yellow / orange clear varnish trough them with a hypodermic needle. It gives a really nice impression of fuel in the lines. Keep up the great work David, really enjoying to watch your video's.
Brilliant, just Brilliant David. Your work never ceases to amaze me. Your techniques are simply masterful. I've learned so much from you. Thank you David for sharing. My hat is off (as to salute) to you sir.

Keep your son on that path and he'll grow up to be a awesome inventor and artist

I am glad that you try models and had a good time. ❤

Great stuff 👍. 💯 your son will hold that memory for ever!

David spoke the magic words again "some minor modifications"...so we know, he create a masterpiece...again.
I always have a good chuckle when he says that!
Yes, I love his gift for understatement
Honestly I feel like this one was relatively minor compared to his other models

the cars from this era are just beautiful. this and the john player special design are just great
@@breakshot7451 oh yes and who can forget the Tyrrell P34, I never saw it race in person, but saw it on display, in the 80s, such a cool car
I love it when David mentions “minor improvements.”
Thank you , David .
🐺
I don't care about the genre of models you build. I always get excited when you post a video. Thank you
Oh man, those brake discs...genius.....once again you knock the ball clear out of the park. A stunning piece......
Thanks for sharing another kit build. Those braided wire tubes are always out of stock. Super great detail pieces.
I love that you left the body pieces removable. It’s great to see the sleek, glossy complete car as well as the super-detailed lower layers!
I’ve been watching your content for like 5 years and it made we want to get into models and painting you genuinely made my childhood
This probably the best model I've ever seen
And it's only 1:20 scale..
Building the model is the easy part, but I have to say. A model isn't a model unless you can paint and understand how to use paints properly. Your models are extraordinary sir. Thank you.
What a beauty! Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
"Minor" improvements....
It's always amazing to see you at work, David.
I wouldn't be one bit surprised if that actually started up and drove away.....
Excellent work!!
David this is surely as beautiful as the real car. Bravo!
The foil over the X-Acto trick. Priceless. Always pick up a tidbit here and there from you. Thanks for sharing your work with us again. Fine specimen.
This is such a beautiful model. I hope to see more F1 models in the future!
Simply beautifully presented. A true master craftsmen. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃

Nobody and I mean nobody can build a model like you. No one compares. Not even close! Great job David

@@sjefnuijten3298 That's what I was thinking, but it's a different approach to modeling, to my point of view. His models are real jewels.
You should check out Night Shift, his models are amazing

I love that over simplification of the amazing things you do in the intro. Reminds me old top gear opens
You should definitely focus more on F1, trucks and airplanes. Your strength with planes and this kind of kits is amazing.
David, you are the Man when it comes to modeling. Keep these great videos coming and I'll keep watching.
Beautiful work David! Thank you for the inspiration!...
Absolutely incredible work, as always! I love the braided hoses and anodized connectors.
one of the most beautiful F1 cars ever .
one of the most beautiful racers ever built
A realy fine build of my favorite f1 car that was driven by my favorite driver....the late Ronnie Petersson.
One of my dads favourite formula one car. Thanks Plasmo.
Absolutely stunning work as ever Plasmo, thank you.
Sick reveal outro
Já jako papírový modelář moc nerozumím plastikovým modelům ale tohle vypadá neskutečně. Super práce 👍🏻
as an auto modeler primarily I’m glad to see you do another car, especially a beautiful formula one kit! always a pleasure to see you elevating these classic kits 👏👏👏 well done
It's very interesting to see people get into model building from these videos, not the other way around

Stunning model of a classic, unforgettable F1 car
the pattern on the heat shield was genius! captures some of my favorite things about modeling- creativity and problem solving
Superb. I can't think of any other words.
Perfection as always. And as always minor modifications is an understatement
Fantastic build!!! 👏

Absolutely a awsome build. Great work Plasmo. 👏
Your attention to detail is on another level. I love your videos man. Masterfully done!
these are not models, they are works of art. so well presented too.
If I wouldn't had seen the other 18 minutes I would say it's the real one. Unbelievable work mastered to perfection!
It’s just beautiful. Outstanding
You have inspired my builds in so many ways, Thanks
Showed up early! This is gonna be a great one, I can tell. Thanks for the upload!
Once again , David provided some minor modifications.......amazing job! And we could clearly see there is no safety for the driver
Your super detailing on the engine is amazing. Well done.
I don’t know how you keep out-doing yourself! Another great looking model
Good morning, bro, ladies and gentlemen. I am always amazed at the amazing modeling techniques. Thank you for posting the video.
Great video and build you should make a wrecked train!
woowwwww this is a hell of a great work done!.. brilliant model of an iconic car of the '70-80... the Lotus 79 ground effect car!...
A very good job love how you did the black paint work a real master peace 👍👍
What colour is inside the body panels?
Your skills are constantly impressing!

"after some MINOR improvements"
Ha, ha. Good one. We know our David and what he thinks about MINOR improvements.
Ok, now on with the video.
You sir are a master model builder. Well done.
Masterful. The heat shield plates embossed using X-Acto knife knurl are a highlight. TFP
Man, detailing the engine like that would drive me nuts. Very well done!
finally a non military model! I knew you could return from the dark side of modelling!
Such an iconic and beautiful livery
Great build. Thanks for sharing.
You know it’s good when it looks a bit better than the actual thing
what a colourfull presentation.....very well...so happy that i watched this :D thank you!!!
you make living longer my memories. thank you very much
Looks beyond amazing!
Stunning , simply stunning, BRAVO 👏🏻
My suggestion for future: Truck. Maybe boring theme, but i believe you could make it awesome with these details
YES! A SCANIA. They are a sexy Truck & the engine details are reasonable.
Trucks are not boring at all. In fact, you can go wild with weathering or just not at all. Rally cars are also a great suggestion for PLASMO.
What a wonderful Saturday. Cherry on top is a new vid.
I absolutely love watching your videos. Absolutely amazing!!!!!
Plasmo never disappoints
I'm so glad to see, that you also have a shaky hand. This is again an extraordinary build. 10/10!!!! Cheers!
There is one thing @Plasmo will never be able to reproduce like I can...is how u can spoil any model))
Tremendous work, hats off!!!
Nice Detail and Beautiful Work!
That is one sexy model kit! And one of the most detailed build, as expected from you Plasmo!
Absolutely beautiful! That engine could not be better. And the best of the model is the beautiful black colour, that’s absolutely awesome!
Your attention to details just never ceases to amaze me! Another awesome build! :) cheers
The time, energy, effort, and attention you spend on these is awesome! Can't wait for the next one.
Such beautiful touches with the extra parts, and the polish on the bodywork is outstanding! Another excellent build!

The great Plasmo is making a formula 1 and it’s a pleasure!
You’re a great artist, thank you for all!
A french follower and a formula 1 fan.
This guy has some insane modeling talent, I'm an armor guy myself but I enjoy watching Plasmo build any subject.
Museum quality, as always. Brilliant! Cheers from America.
