My name is Emily!
"And under no circumstance would I eat my own baby"
Woah, that was unexpected for an intro
I think the lady does protest too much... Just what exactly goes on at a minute earth job interviews!?
Ye, im also shocked that she wouldnt eat her own babies
hi
Welcome, friend.
Just Some Guy without a Mustache
Suspiciously specific IMO
My goodness! How is the stick figure managed to draw such a picturesque 3D human?
Ikr? A true mystery too this day
Lol
Ye ikr
You’re stupid for questioning that. Everyone knows how easy it is for stickmen to draw humans realistically, have you been living under a rock?
Ha ha grammer
3:11 Our ancestors settled down either for Bread or beer, whatever the case one thing is clear..... Nice rhyme
Pretty much all food was discovered by accident when humans tried throwing stuff together to see what tasted good
This is a very stupid perception of humanity. They were no more "banging things together" then than we are today. There was never a time when humans didn't have an established way of doing things or a time when they were fully aware of the gap in their understanding.
@@spiritbond8 and before that there were humanoids, and before that there were apes and ....
they all knew what they wanted to eat, no problem.

Fire ain't food, though.
Food is as universal in the animal kingdom as reproduction.
Fire, less so.
This is kinda like a compilation of Minute Earth Videos... I like it!
The cure for a sad moment, "Hi, I'm emily and under no circumstances would I eat my own baby.'

“salami instead of saalmmanali” beautiful sentence
Bats should be on one of these story's.
Emily:hi I’m EMILY and I eat my own baby Me: I’ll let a tiger EAT MY BABY
This video is giving me the munchies for a California Cheeseburger
After you make a few more compilations you should make a compilation compilation
Uh, couldn't you have warned me you were going to ruin chocolate?
my family lives in mi,usa and we love deer. so eating reindeer meat does not sound werid at all :)
If you spoil the food before it gets spoiled on its own, it can’t spoil further by bad stuff.
You should also explain POOP

Interviewer: Tell me about yourself.
Emily: Hi I'm Emily. And I wouldn't eat my own baby.

Start to eat her baby?

I love the writing on this one. It's different but highly entertaining.
Errrrrr
“Hunter-Gatherers often settled down for love of bread or beer”
Tribesman: “So why did you start farming? I did it to feed my family.”
Secretly Alcoholic Tribesman: “Uh yeah me too“

Good one dude. Hi five 🤚

Thanks for compiling old videos very timely. We need this to feed our curiosity outbreak.
Underrated comment
[No seriously, this made me chuckle XD]
I only talked to a few people whose childhood hamster ate its own babies. That must be so traumatizing to a kid, especially if they've already found an emotional bond with the babies
About four to five months ago, I had one of my rabbits get pregnant accidentally (Too late separating the siblings, I take good care of my rabbits ad missed a day, they are both healthy and safe.) She gave birth, and ate them ALL, every single one. My aunt had to see my rabbit eating her babies because she didn't believe that the mom wouldn't eat her babies.
You got the rabbit pregnant? Is that what you meant? Are you a robotic rabbit writing on RUclips? Or are you a human?
“...and plenty of other delicacies that *don’t* start with ‘k’”

My "under no circumstance would I eat my own baby" T-shirt has people asking a lot of questions already answered by my shirt.
"Humans build the nuclear bomb, but mice would never build a mouse trap." 🤷♂️
"Mice eat their own little mice, but humans would never eat their own babies." 🤷♂️
Every species has their self-destructive behaviors.
Only that we just found out that the species who do gobble on their babies do NOT do it as a self-destructive habit.
Mice would totally build mouse traps if they had the brains for it. Humans would probably eat our babies if we were extreme r strategists (instead of extreme k strategists, which makes us invest great amounts of parental care).
Neither of those are "self-destructive".
Nukes are always for "killing the other guys"; not suicide, and (as pointed out in the vid) the fact that offspring eating (Filial Cannibalism) has survived in the populations implies there is a beneficial reason for it.
@@ccgarciab hM
@@ccgarciab So you're basically saying that humans and mice would act differently if they weren't like humans and mice? :D

Jonathan Swift said it first in "A Modest Proposal". Great minds, and all that, huh?
Emily is such a great host. She has a great voice that keeps me focused with a pleasant inflection. I've seen some host from other channels speak with the kind of inflection that comes off like every sentence ends in a question mark. Also can't stand bad vocal fry, which she has none. She is also easy on the eyes(beautiful) and comes off very natural on her delivery
Nobody gonna talk about the male host. Oh because you love to get laid by her. I know it.

@5:47 They forgot Mexico in the 'North Americas'..
the more I learn about (bio)chemistry of food, the harder it is to believe that we figured all of this stuff out on our own, and most of it even before we knew such things as biology or chemistry even exist...

If only my family most of whom are on welfare understood the bit about eating children. Maybe we wouldn’t be so poor.

Naughty as in non-compliant, not easily domesticated.

I once had a Hamster that we bought already pregnant (a female that was with the males due to misgendering. So we thought its a male hamster until she had her babies) and we were worried she will eat her young, but she made a nest in a hollow decorative item and slept in her cage (we then had to peave the door open all the time for her to provide for her small ones) and all 8 babies grew up well and healthy.
After that explanation i guess she felt save and well fed in our care and felt confident all the babies will make it. Also we fed her hamster food that has insects (protein) in it, so her nutrition was in balance.
No one cares about my hamster comment anyways so i add for fun, that until we bought that food she somehow managed ro raise her own little maggot farm behind the furniture to eat them. We asked why and were told she needs protein.
This hamster was only half a handful but a full handfull to take care for, but her live in relative freedom (the entire living room was her playground) made her so charming and trusting and even responsive to her name. I miss that furball.
I am just glad there was one light in a sea of hamsters eating their young
How much I learn in school: 10%
How much I learn in ASAPScience + MinuteEarth: 90%
to expand on this, school taught me nothing about philosophy, except for philosophies already debunked, like communism.
and now, age 27 i find myself reading so much philosophy books recomended by youtubers i didn't think i ever would.
and no, i'm not a fascist either, that's debunked too. it's just that the schools don't push that one.

About freezeing food. Lalplanders used to store slaurgered raindeer on top of the roof. Birds eat the suet so the meat was lean when you took a part of it inside and using knife carved slices of it onto the pan. Even today in Finland raindeer is mostly eaten as thinly carved slices pan fried with smashed potatoes and lingonberries.
