And Reform. No councils, no MPs yet featured and interviewed in so many places.

The way back for the Conservatives requires them to expel from the party almost all the current MPs and anyone that supported the radical Brexit the ERG demanded.
Then, maybe, the former and true Conservatives that quit the party in disgust after 2016 will rebuild their party from the ashes.

The big problem with farage is, once he establishes a political party to split the votes, he jumps ships. Hes done this sort of thing numerous times. Its almost like hes a shirker. Also happy to draw an EU pension and change his kids passports to German ones very soon after the brexit vote. The guy is a grifter through and through.
And yet achieves so much in moving the stale and dead politics of the UK, and the EU. Maybe it's strategic?

The Tories need to go. I do worry that Labour at local level behaves in very high-handed ways that are not related to how they are likely to operate at national level.

The reason why the local election counts were staggered was because at the time there was a chance of a General Election on 2 May and the first time that the General Election would be at the same time as Mayoral elections
