Feel like I’m in a dream, winning summer league games. Guys from the team bonding and coming out to Vegas to support! Culture is shifting in Buzz City!
I logged in to say exactly this. No one has the rebounding acumen that Rodman had (the dude understood angles to a ridiculous degree) but we're looking at 18 rebounds in the 33 minutes over the first two LV Summer league games. That is really quality board work. Combine that with the annoying defense, motor, size, maybe he's "le ver" reincarnate?
Let Reed Sheppard be another reminder not to obsess over measurables (specifically height). If a player shows multiple indicator of being a future stud, who cares if he's 2 inches shorter than you'd like.
Salaune is still a bit raw, but I want to see him play with Melo in the preseason. Melo will find him easy looks and alleyoops which Salaun was looking to get yesterday
😂😂😂I love soooo much that yall picked up on the commentators arguments lol. I was watching listening to them saying...are these dudes going to throw hands in a bit lol. Love the show guys. Great work as alway!
I made a Reddit post about how he had baby Gianni’s flashes and crazy finishing potential and everyone called me an idiot but this kid is a big time NBA talent he’s built like it and plays like it
We gave Nick Smith Jr time to let his brain catch up with his fast twitch muscles. And it only - IMO, did catch up, manifesting clearly in this Summer League. Now he appears to process the game better and within the flow of the game. But it took him a minute to figure it out. So Salaun is at that point too. He'll in time come round too.
Tidjane Salaun is a future All-Star. At the end of next season he will be part of the Hornets starting 5. Give him 2 extra years and he’ll be in the all-star conversation. Be ready
The difference between his freakishess & that of Kai Jones is that Salaun has very decent basketball IQ. Kai just didnt have that. Most people forget that Giannis had very loose handles & and asked the coach to send him to the G league so he could get more reps because he hadn't cracked first team rotation. Ive seen Giannis tape where he was working on his handles which included keeping it on the floor & bouncing it off a gym wall.
Is it possible Salaun is still growing and could gain another 1 plus inch in height? Also it will be exciting to watch as his physicals and ability to control and perform what he wants to do in his mind intersect. Good luck to the young man and glad he is a Hornet!
Like i said before, the kid should have started the 1st summer league game. Having him come off the bench as a 6th pick was 'red flag' activity. Throw in there and let him figure it out!
Buzelis he'll yeah that was our other choice but he don't rebound or athletic he's a scorer and 6 yrs older he's probably peaking at max talent in 33 mpg
@Peacebewithyou1999 Buzelikis played against people better in G LEAGUE l as two 2 yrs.Hey it was him or Salaun for us it's a toss up Buzelis more PT but athleticism raw talent and upside plus the rebound on offense is why we chose Salaun..Clinigan I don't agree possible 1st pick slips bad teams saw weakness he's 3 yrs away Salaun is also same age are and style as the new Hornets but Clinigan has played 4 games all avg around 31 min first 2 he didn't have more than 13pts reps and asts combined..I bet on the over on DRAFT king.last 2 games he's better.BUZELIS AND SALAUN WILL BOTH CARVE IUT GOOD CAREERS WHILE CLINIGAN MAY BE A TWO WAY BACK UP FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND NEVER HEAR OF HIM CENTERS LIKE HIM ARE A DIME A DOZEN.UNDRAFTED CENTERS PJ HALL FROM CLEMSON MADE HIM LOOK FOOLISH IN HIS SECOND GAME.IM WITH YOU ON B. We gotta stop with the Giannis comp before we just become dissapointed in our boy Tidjane - I'm seeing less of a Giannis and more of a Aaron Gordon + MPJ fusion with none of their strengths... good size for position, high motor, high desire to move off ball, theoretically capable of stretching the court, passable defense with some passing lane gambling
James Plowright posted on X that he is injured and won't play in Summer League. Wanted to see his skills probably would have been best center candidate on Summer team. 6'11" 260 lbs- 13.8 ppg, 9.5 rebounds, 57.8% shooting, 37.8,% 3pt%
Walker "He's looking pretty damn good to me." Then the next sentence "the percentages aren't great." Yeah. He's shooting 37.2% from the field. 27.8% from three. People are overrating the hell out of the guy.
Loved seeing all the guys on the sideline- even Taj Gibson and Kemba? Culture shifting for sure

Your comment is a reality that RUclips needs a love that button 😂. It’s really exciting man!

The Freaky Frenchman just gives you exciting vibes of what might be.
Salaun has some Denis Rodman in him. That rebounding motor

“Echoes of freakiness” a Doug Branson original. Maybe Walker, he is starting to be corrupted.
Yes, I had to mute the broadcast about 3 minutes into the game because of Greenberg's lazy hatin ass
Good decision
Seth Greenberg didn't know what the heck he was talking about
Salaun is raw, will take development time.

i have echos of freakness too
TBH, he looked pretty rough particularly on defense. But he's showing flashes of talent amidst the high frenetic energy.

Exhibit 10 contract was given to former St Johns Center, Joel Soriano.
Is he playing at all?
what are we doing with james nnaji
@@GeechieDanBeauford-lh4bo he's out fir thus season hopefully nothing
Nnaji not coming over here this year because he had surgery on his back. FC Barca thought he was gone. Lol.
Lol. Sounds like an old school Digital Underground album.

RIP Hump.
Said it before Tidjan will make an immediate impact. If not the beginning, at some point he will be the 3 with Miles at the 4
NSJ determined to get his. 22 shots in 26 minutes.
He’s 2 years away from being 2 years away ⏳
Need tidjuan to come out a little more aggressive. Seems like it takes him a full half to figure it out.

Salaun has to speed up his release. He takes way too long to gather and setup his shot.
Tidjane maybe in Greensboro for a bit
Good thing hes 18
🍻🍻🍻🍻
I see a little Dennis Rodman in him
how so? rodman had very little offensive ability. this guys claim to fame was his ability to shoot and score.
Gueye is is the greatest better be him
M Garrett impressed me, he seemed to stanfout when he touched the ball.

Look at the other players percentages too, summer league games usually have pretty low fg% overall
Overselling for sure
