people like Doug are the reason why Lamelo opens up to people he is comfortable around gives the media very little ....Lamelo is very close to his family...the media has damn declared war on them....and for what....a man has belief in his sons...first of all you actully wanted to draft a point guard when you already have one of the best in the league is crazy....no slight on Brandon but anyone that knows the game without being biased can see Lamelo's worth ....im at the point now where i wish Lamelo would just leave....Brandon Miller himself said Melo was the man.....if Melo did not get injured he is a all star lock...and his defense has improved....also last year it was about him not going to the paint....have you seen the non calls this man gets...yet he did it and got injured in the process...people hate what they can't understand...label or put you in a box....Lamelo Ball will always be 1 of 1.....unique...and i pray he don't change!...peace

I just don’t think Brandon having a 20 point game vs the pacers makes this his team all of the sudden.. Melo averaged that plus facilitating for the entire team the past couple years (and also played incredible those first couple pre season games). Brandon has been healthier but that’s not the greatest argument for being the franchise player, someone to build around... I really haven’t seen Brandon do anything else that makes me think he’s such a great leader, prove me wrong I’m open to discussion… I think there can be multiple leaders, whether it’s a vet or a rookie.. the leader doesn’t need to be the best player on the team a all times…I just think that until Brandon completely takes over, he doesn’t really have a case over Lamelo to be THE GUY, that’s just my opinion.

I'm pretty much at the point where I think Salaun should start with Ball, Miller, Bridges and Williams/Richards. He seems to be a fast learner and the type of person who would thrive being thrown to the fire. Offensively he fits extremely well allowing us to jumbo size the line up making us hard to guard. Defensively he has some issues but I believe putting him against stronger opponents will grow his game faster. He's got the tools to be a great player and he seems determined to become Tiger Salaun

Since midway thru his 2nd season (2 1/2 years) he’s a 39% three point shooter. Does not shoot a lot so he’s a perfect fifth option after Lamelo, Miller, Bridges and Williams and Richards. He plays hard, a bit thick for a defensive shooting guard but holds up well under duress. Just play him 30 min a game and he will produce on both ends. Don’t ask him to do anything other than use all his energy keeping the other team’s best player in check. He can do a variety of things offensively but won’t ever be offensively aggressive. He’s an odd bird in a league full of selfish players. He’s a team guy and easy to like. Lately gets hurt because he plays so hard. Won’t play 80 games but it is what it is. No one does anymore.

Doug I think you’re jumping the gun saying this is Brandon’s team already. That could definitely be the case, but it seems premature at this point given that we haven’t seen him and Melo share the court much, and LaMelo has shown a lot more than Brandon to date. This is just preseason basketball.

Why is the Hornets coach only get one minute post game interviews and the other teams they are playing against, those coaches are getting 11 minutes interviews or more. Indiana coach on 10/17/24 , look at his post game interview time after the game. My point is this , We want to see more Hornets post game coverage of players and coaches doing interviews. We would love to see some coverage of Charlotte Hornets, I’m going to say something to Stephen A Smith about it
