- I'm a little late, probably because I don't want to think about it being July already! Grab your budget info and join me in making a plan to tell our money where to go, so it doesn't get into mischief. That's the basis of a zero-based budget - giving every dollar a job.
I'm also sharing how I get paid in the summer. I know that every district or state has their own way of doing things - and I think I'm pretty lucky. Others may prefer a different method. That's why it's called "personal" finance. :)

Thanks for making this video and talking about how you plan. I use Ally checking and Savings. The APY for savings is 4.75% and it pays dividends on the 20th of every month. I have $10,000 in my emergency fund and it generates about $40 a month. I know it’s not a ton but it’s money I don’t have to work for. Keep up the great work!
Great budget plan! It's so interesting how you are paid over the summer. It must take a tremendous amount of discipline to receive that much money over the course of a few days. I get 21 pays--- or every other week. Whichever month winds up with 3 pays is a magic month-- but it is a "free pay" without deductions which is always nice!
Hi, great bwm!
