"Everything that you do...everything that you accomplish is an act of courage and intention in a very overstimulated world. Be courageous!"
Hi, great bwm!
Congratulations on opening your HYSA! That's awesome! Let the interest begin! I just recently started to do weekly check-ins and you are 100% correct in how important they are! Gives me a chance to right the ship before I run aground haha Have a lovely weekend! 💙💙
i've been snacking too 😅
Keep shining, stay connected! New supporter friend. 19
Hello! New friend here to support you! 😊 Congrats on opening a HYSA! I have SOFI. I like it, but it does take a day or two for the transfer to go through. I think it depends on the time of day I request the transfer. Great budget breakdown 😊🫶🏼
Great budget plan! It's so interesting how you are paid over the summer. It must take a tremendous amount of discipline to receive that much money over the course of a few days. I get 21 pays--- or every other week. Whichever month winds up with 3 pays is a magic month-- but it is a "free pay" without deductions which is always nice!
Thanks for making this video and talking about how you plan. I use Ally checking and Savings. The APY for savings is 4.75% and it pays dividends on the 20th of every month. I have $10,000 in my emergency fund and it generates about $40 a month. I know it’s not a ton but it’s money I don’t have to work for. Keep up the great work!
Great video! Love that you were able to allocate more than expected to your sinking funds! That's the best feeling!💛
🌹🥰🙂
I love watching you breakdown your budget. It helps me in doing mine
great video. new here.. i agree.. with the freedom of budgeting week to week & just focusing on that paycheck.. i dont have to worry about NSF fees or how to get out of something.. to me that's financial peace!
I love your videos. Apart from the budget breakdowns, I like the simple but beautiful colour scheme...Its pretty & uncluttered. Your soothing voice just adds to the peaceful vibes. 🥰
Love that piggy bank!
@@theimageer3098 You should!!
Great budget breakdown 👍🤑💚
Love your mail sorter! It works perfectly and is so nice! I agree about not spending a lot of money on budgeting items. For now, I'm using free challenges and ones I make myself. It's hard to resist all these cute budgeting supplies and challenges, but I am doing my best! Great job saving and thank you for the free resources! 💛
I just found your content and I’m really enjoying it 😊
I'm so glad you found me. Thanks for the lovely compliment.
I found one of those sorters at a thrift shop & thought to buy it to sort my cash.... it was for $1. Glad you're finding alternatives. Its good to look through things we already have & use them instead of buying all the time.
@@maypasifiki9360 I love that!! Yes, it’s such a great idea to repurpose something - saves money and gives you something with more charm!
Good budget 😊
Good evening! ❤ Great budget video.
Aw, thank you Nien! 🤗
Those where some great tips on keep on top of your budget. Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome! Thank you for stopping by. I hope you stick around and strike up a conversation. :)
New subbie 🎉
Yay! Welcome! I hope you stay and join in the conversations.
new subscriber here, great video, glad you go to spend time with your grown son
Welcome! I'm so happy you found my channel. Yes, spending time with my son is something I am enjoying while I can. He is excellent company!
Yep... being outside does mess with your budget...lol... great video ❤
So true! But it also makes me aware that I've become a little too much of an indoor kitty. Time to get out, while I have some energy, and enjoy the world! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hi Ruth! I totally agree with you about sinking funds! This is the first year I've saved and used them, and even though they aren't big yet- it is something- and that something is a gamechanger! Love LotR- so cool to see the trilogy on the big screen with your son! My son would love that! Have a great weekend!💛
This is my second year of having sinking funds to pay annual memberships and car registration - with absolutely no squeeze, either when I set the money aside all year, nor when I have to pay up. It's amazing! I've always known it was POSSIBLE, I just never actually made the attempt to DO IT. And it feels great! Are you finally out of school yet? I really want to hear about your knee surgery. Mine are in such bad shape. I hope your recovery is swift and your mobility is renewed!
I really enjoyed your video ❤ New subbies here 👋
Welcome and thanks for subbing! I'm so excited to see some new faces and to check out some new channels. Have you been posting on YT for long?
I don’t have a worst part of budgeting! I love it all! 💗🌸🌷 Your reading camp sounds like fun! Hope you can relax some this summer with your work! Great job closing out and budgeting for June! 🌸🌷💗
Yawn
I can understand your reaction - someone else's budget may not be fascinating. But I'm fairly new at this, and trying to improve with every video. I hope you'll come back and see if it gets better. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.
I love how your table matches the colour of your nails. 🥰 I also collect sea shells so this video is just giving me comforting vibes ❤
😂 That wasn't really intentional. Just happens to be a color I like, so it pops up over and over. Most of my shells are from a lovely trip to Sanibel Island, FL over 15 years ago. Looking at them just makes me so happy. 😊
Aww, I think your nails are lovely! And, I understand about procrastination! What I do is when I have a task I know I need to do or if I’m coming up on a deadline, I preoccupy myself with something else that’s less important and less time sensitive. 🤷♀️ Your videos are great; I always enjoy them! 🌸💗🎉
Only ONE thing less important? I think I'd like to learn that trick. I seem to have an endless list of distractions! 😄😄
Great video! Thank you for sharing! ❤ I'm happy to hear that you are enjoying this journey. 😊
I really am! Just trying to find a more regular routine, so I don't let procrastination get in my way. 🙂
I just love listening to your videos. Your voice is so soothing! I do feel the same as you, as far as coming home exhausted and crashing with Netflix, as opposed to a book. I just binged Bridgerton and am trying to decide what's next. Have a great week! 💗💖
Oh my goodness, what a kind thing to say!! I am a little distressed at my voice, because I can hear some roughness caused by teaching all year. I love summer, when it recovers enough for me to sing in the car again. :) My son and I are watching Narcos: Mexico, after finishing Narcos (not light viewing). But we've also binged Big Bang Theory, How I Met You Mother, and Frasier. And last night I started watching Bridget Jones - to work up to seeing the 3rd one, which I've never seen. Don't you love a good English accent? Hope you have a great week!
I like that you explain everything so well. I kind of do it as you with different markers. ❤ Great video!
Welcome, Nien! It's always great to meet another teacher. I hope you'll come back often. 💜
Yay! I found another teacher budgeter! I'm a teacher as well , but in the Netherlands. ❤ Here to support. New subscriber.
Happy Wednesday! Love the water bar treat from the students ❤ Great video! Love how you explain everything 😊
Great budget plan-- enjoyed listening to your explanations. Have a great rest of the weekend!
Thank you for stopping by! I hope your weekend is restful, too.
Great video! Have a wonderful weekend! 😊
You, too!! Time for a little restorative rest (much of it involving catching up on my favorite budgeting channels). Can’t wait!
Hi friend! A middle school teacher- bless you! 😂 My husband teaches 8th grade and I hear his crazy stories! Great video and budget! Was wondering about your union dues- do they not get taken out of your check? I was thinking that maybe you don’t have a local association. 😊
Oh, that's a story! Our dues were taken out for years - and then we got a new governor, and a new education reform bill. Naturally our union pointed out the flaws in the bill. So when it was passed and the dust settled, our legislature decided to punish the union by passing a new law that removed the option to pay through payroll deduction. I had to start having it automatically drawn from my checking account last year. It's always such fun to be in a profession that seems to be the political scapegoat, isn't it? We do have a local association, but it dropped below 50% participation several years ago, and we lost our bargaining committee. But I'll never give up my membership. We stand together or fall alone, right?🙂
@@booksandbudgets22 Absolutely! I'm sorry your state is not teacher union friendly. We are very lucky here in NJ, although we do deal with groups that attack teachers daily. I can only hope the tide will change and the demonization of teachers and our unions will end. 🏫🎒💛
💜💜💜 Hey friend 😊. Here watching and returning the support 😊. Just subscribed! Keep up the great work, you’re doing awesome 💜💜💜
Thank you so much 🤗 I've been a viewer for a while, but being a full participant in this wonderful YT budgeting community is taking it to the next level. Can't wait to see everyone reach their financial goals!
Hi there! New subscriber here-- I am a teacher also and school has been so hectic in preparation for testing. I start on May 1. Best of luck to you and your students. Enjoyed your video-- love the name of your channel! Will definitely be following along! 💗
Hello and welcome! Yes, our tests are April 30-May 2, and we have a whole new testing company this year. 😰 But after we are sliding right on towards summer, which is good news. I just visited your channel and saw that you have a newer one, like me. I subscribed and can't wait to see how your channel develops. I'd also love to hear more about your Teachers Pay Teachers shop! I haven't had the guts to try that yet. Thanks so much for stopping by! 💜
