Just wanna say. I did hear before the noise test that they were going to be run on max mode. For anyone getting upset here, jees, relax. It's only vacuum cleaners and anyone is allowed to demonstrate products here on RUclips exactly the way they want. And because he's a seller of these vacuums of course he is in some way paid, but he doesn't claim to be an impartial reviewer either. I enjoy the demonstrations anyway, and if you have a brain of your own, you can somewhat get a feeling for how the machines work. And I appreciate that.

Great video. I bought the v6 based on price and I did wonder what I missed out on. I only need a few minutes run time, so now I know the more expensive ones wouldn't be that much better for me. Glad I found this video.

I’ve had my Dyson V6 for about 2 years now and it’s still perfect for my little house, however I never knew how to empty the bin properly! I was jabbing a screw driver between the outer casing and filter to get the fluff and dust out, in fact I had to to and try it the proper way before the video ended 😂😂 very informative. Great presentation AL 👍👍

I'm thinking of buying a cordless vacuum for our Cabin, which is off grid.
This is a very good video! It shows the power left in the battery (the V11) and the demonstrations were excellent and informative!
I never wanted to buy a cordless, thinking the suction would be useless, and it would always need recharging...but I think I am sold on the larger Dyson V11!!
    Thanks!!

Thank you for a great comparison video! V8 has actually the longest charging time - 5 hours. It’s nice to see how V10 & V11 are big and heavy in comparison to older models which are significantly smaller and lighter. However, this can be a big advantage (for older models) for a car vacuuming. The minimum suction power on higher models (V10&V11) goes bellow older models and should be rather called “eco mode”. That’s why comparison with medium power level on V10&V11 would be more appropriate. It would be helpful (especially for allergic people) to mention that V8 and higher models have very good lifetime HEPA filters while V6 and V7 don’t have. I bought V8 absolute for car vacuuming and I am extremely happy for that. A small motorized head does a great job on car carpets. I was nicely pleased how different heads work well also on different kind of floors at home. I didn’t expect that but thanks to motorized heads V8 absolute overcomes my old Dyson DC19 in home vacuuming as well. Dyson = Ferrari among vacuum cleaners! :-) Unfortunately, also with their price tags. :-/

    • @Clove_Parma
      @Clove_Parma 4 года назад +1

Hi there. Just so you know, your statement about the suction power of V10 and V11 vs earlier models on lowest power is inaccurate. The V11 on eco mode has 26AW of suction, whereas the V8 only had 22AW. Your point on the V10's low power mode is absolutely correct, hence why dyson increased the base suction power on the V11 and rebranded the low mode as eco mode. Cheers

It really depends on the runtime you need and the budget you have. The models like the V10 and V11 will always outperform the more basic models, but if you only have a small area to vacuum and runtime is not that important, then perhaps the V7 is ok. We have a new model in the V7 range which is the V7 absolute which comes with a great range of tools and can be found here: www.go-cordless.co.uk/collections/upright-cordless-vacuums/products/dyson-v7-absolute-cordless-vacuum-cleaner

Low power is absolutely best for normal debris on hard floors. High suction is only for large material, and creating a better seal on carpet (as suction is lost through carpet underlay). If you are clearning rugs, you will want the medium or high setting depending on thickness, how dirty it is etc

don't know what the difference is, but I have a Dyson V7 Motorhead which did not work
right out of the box. After several e-mail exchanges with the company I got tired of dealing with them and took it to a local vacuum repair shop and paid for it myself to get it going.
The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on and I'm still not happy with it because
it doesn't have decent suction. It's almost like a broom. I also have a Dyson Multi Floor Ball

Good video, however you speak very quietly, so I have to turn my amp up a lot to hear you, then the Shark adverts (there were 3/4) cut in and are deafening, so I search for remote to quickly turn volume down, then back up again when you start up again 😩🤣

What a lot of reviews don't talk about is the bagless disposal system. It's absolutely pathetic. Literally all the dust goes everywhere as its shoots out and it's disgusting. This is a huge negative enough to put people off.
Even if you stick it inside a bag and try the dust still comes out. The whole HEPA dust protection filter is pointless.

the V10 and V11 addressed this as it's much more hygienic to empty than the earlier models. I've never had any dust come out while emptying mine directly into a bag

@@Clove_Parma is it bagless and does it still shoot dirt out? Did the new models address it specifically noting it was an issue on earlier models?
