Can you do a video of the new shark carpet cleaner?! 🎉
Your channel is the gold standard of review channels. I may never buy another vacuum in my life, but I will always watch your content.
Why not? Have you ascended to the heavens?
Me too, I've already purchased my vacuums for the next 5 years, probably. But I am always excited to watch this channel's videos on release. LOL
Totally agree!
I wish they start a review channel on cars, chocolate bars and phone cables 😅
Wow, thank you!
@@bbuggediffy I have the original DC 07. It is so repairable and easy to work on. I won't need to buy another vacuum. It's really good at picking up. Then on vacuuming wars recommendation I bought a Dyson V10 about a year and a half ago. Another great vacuum. Between the repairability of my original, and the performance of this new vacuum., I don't see myself needing another one.
Pretty strange how one of my most very favorite RUclips channels is about... vacuum cleaners.
Who woulda thunk it?
But this guy is so thorough, informative and entertaining that I can't look away. Well done, sir. Very well done indeed.
That is great to hear! Thank you!
I absolutely love Chris and what he does. This man still writes measurements by hand and put so much effort in to getting most accurate results for all the products he is reviewing. Even though I watch other Vacuum channels I always wait for Vacuum Wars for their version before buying something.
Thank you for doing the research for us. I have been deep in the trenches trying to decide which vacuum is best for me and your video has saved me hours of reseach time. Sub earned! I am also ONLY buying via your affiliate links in a bid to support the ch.
Wow thank you so much for this comparison. The product line can be really confusing for someone who is seeing it for the first time. This video clarifies everything.
All the Dyson models look so great but I really miss the self cleaning feature that’s on other vacuums, that is such an important feature for me, I wish the Dysons had them too.
I have bought V15 detect complete plus with the improved HEPA filter and 2 batteries. I'm quite satisfied with it.
Also it has that brush tool inside the wand like the Gen 5 detect.
It missed the brush accessory so I bought it and few other accessories, so basically I have all I need. I just hope it will last me for years to come.
Very informative, your videos are amazing. Thank you for your work!
Thank God, welcome home
You do such an amazing job with coming to precise and data-backed conclusions. Love it.
Thanks so much!
Just upgraded from a V10 Absolute to a V15 Absolute (The V10 battery was dying and the rest of the machine was starting to be worse for wear).
The difference between V10 and V15 was far more than I expected. The 15 seemed to pick up far more stuff, the bin was fuller at the end of the clean than the V10 bin usually got. Though that could also be due to the fat that the smaller hard floor head and the low-reach adaptor which meant I could get under some furniture I wasn't able to get under before.
Some good info, i was considering buying a dyson and this has convinced me it's worth it.
I have the V12 and I couldn’t be more happy with it. I have a midsize medium hair dog and a small apartment and it fits my needs perfectly.
That is great to hear!
Do you have carpet/rugs by chance ? wondering how well it works on there
the v12 works great on carpets tho the canister fills up very quickly @@parkerbrown5614
I have a relatively small space with hard floors, so the V8 is ideal for me, I love it so much.
I surprisingly come back to this channel every few days to see what’s new. Great video! I just bought the Gen 5 and Tineco S7 Pro from your reviews this week.
Those are the most tempting for me I really want all the conveniences
Thank you! Hope you are happy with those!
This channel is AMAZINGLY useful, thank you for making these!!
Thank you!!
Brilliant review. Many thanks
Thank you ! Great vid as always 😁
Thanks!!
Never in my life did I think I'd be watching a video on vacuum cleaners for fun, let alone subscribe to a vacuum cleaner review channel...
but here we are. Great content lol!
Awesome! Thank you!
Great comprehensive review. Excellent infographics. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Great as always!
Thank you!
Phenomenal review! Typically i spend hours , days sometimes weeks researching varying brands and models. I have an old Dyson dc17 so i was sure which brand i was purchasing and this video just answered every single possible question i had and plenty more making my decision easy.
Cant thank you enough , buying it now! liked and subbed
Awesome, thank you!
The cat vacuum at 4:00 was gold 😂
Perfect explanation, Great video. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
You can now get the V8, V12, and V15 Absolute models with the new 0.01 micron HEPA filter. I think that cements the V15 as the best value at the high end
Wow this is what we call a good recapitulation! 🎉
You do a great job testing and giving an honest review. Awesome work!
Will you be reviewing the Dyson v15 submarine attachment soon?
Straight to the point with information that is valuable. Thank you. Now it’s time to find the best deal
Thanks!
Very useful 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 thank you so much
You’re welcome 😊
Very very helpful review, thank you
You are so welcome!
Great! Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Bought a V10 last week. Capacity is small, so I've started vacuuming every day instead of weekly or when needed. 2 dogs are tough to keep up with! Having not used the other models, I don't know what I'm missing. I'm sure if I had the option to try them all out I would appreciate the higher end models. But for the price ($400) I think its a fantastic value. Its eliminated having to use a hand held, hard floor, and carpet rug vacuum. Also bought an upright stand which works great.
Thank You 😊 very helpful
You're welcome 😊
That transformation at the end 🤯
Amazing!
always come to you for vacuum guide, my v10 was broken and Dyson's website is so horrible that can't do any comparison, lucky we have you 😂
I just ordered the V15 detect absolute for $579. I beleive it now has the brighter led. It also has other upgrades like the combo style tool always built in. Its battery is actually a higher mah than the gen 5. Im in SW Florida if you are near me you can review it.
good review and informative. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Great video went for the V12 appreciate your efforts. ❤
Much appreciated!
Excellent presentation
Excellent review!
Glad you liked it!
This is a great review channel
Thank you this video is super informative
Glad it was helpful!
Great video ❤🎉
I love your channel and when my V8 blows up I will gladly by a new one based on your reviews when it comes time! I got mine as a gift with with an additional gift of all the accessories will never go back! Other than a robot vacuum 🙂
So cool! Glad you are happy with your V8!
2023 Vacuum Wars Dyson cordless review!! LET'S GOOOOO!!!
With two large dogs, upgrading to the outsize was a game changer. The bin capacity on smaller versions is the weak link in my opinion. I would vacuum regularly but the bins would have to be emptied multiple times during cleaning or else it would get over filled and start pulsing. For pet owners it’s outsize for the win.
Do you feel like the outsize is too heavy? I’m thinking of getting the gen5 outsize! I like that it’s a on and off button too not a trigger.
We have a large full blooded German shep and a half German shep/husky med dog plus carpet (which will be ripped up one day and switched to flooring) but I feel like the bigger bin would help!
I have the v12 for like 2 years now , it has more than enough suction power even on the lowest setting and its very light and easy to use. Would recommend 10/10
Glad to hear you are happy with it!
JUST bought it! Yah!
Do you think the bin capacity is enough?
This is great how well their product line scales over time
Agree!
FYI, I bought the V15 Detect total clean from Costco and it has the upgraded green laser that turns on automatically and has no switch on the fluffy head so this is not exclusive to the gen5. I believe Dyson are retroactively introducing this to new supplies of the V15 and the V12 so this is not a reason to upgrade to the Gen5. Also something to look out for if you are looking for a V15 or V12 as retailers like Amazon are still selling both the upgraded version and the older version.
Plus you can just buy the head.
I bought a v8 animal about 4 years ago and it's great, I did eventually have to swap a battery which isn't terrible but now my only complaint is the original roller bar the wheels got busted and I cheaped out and got an Amazon replacement that's definitely not as good as an original
I love Dyson stick vacs and have had 2 of them - the V8 & V12. But, I don't think the new screw brush head is that great. It beats any "turbo" brush roll because it doesn't bog down, but it has huge gaps at the edges and doesn't pick up that well. The V8's mini brush seemed better. The laser on the V12 is useful and the realtime particle counter isn't useful.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
Could you do a comparison on the latest cordless Dyson vs the older corded models and which one is better.
I have had the V12 since it was launched at home and could not be happier about it. One note thou. I did bought a separate aftermarket floor stand for the vacuum as I did not want to put it in wall. It makes it much more easier to use and relocate when needed as it can hold the vacuum and also charge it in it and hold all the tools in it for easy to use. The original wall mount attaches to the stand.
@@generationwolves V12 is not listed as a compatible model in the Dyson stand. Also it does not store but only one accessorie. So it is much more expensive and not as good. And btw. out of stock from Dysons website.
Oh! Exactly what I'm looking for these days. Where did you get that from (source/website)? Thanks!
Which aftermarket floor stand did you buy and from where? I just put my order in for a V12 after much thinking.
I have the V11 direct drive turbo from a few years ago and it has the adjustment gates
Just bought a V8. Compared to the previous AEG handheld vac I bought for roughly the same price, the Dyson is 50 times better in my opinion. Go for it. It won't break the budget but is super enjoyable to use.
My V11's trigger just broke, seems like a common issue with the models with trigger. It's inexpensive to fix, but requires extensive disassembly.
Are you planning on checkimg out any Narwal robots? Your channel us great btw, very thorough and helpful content!
I don't even own a vacuum but I love this channel 😊
Personally, best combo for me was V15 for general home/everything use. The V8 for beater/rough use. The V8 Absolute for me is the best companion to keep my car/garage clean, places that might have outside grime more than inside grime. The V15 stays as a home/inside only vacuum.
Thanks for the great and detailed review. I'm seeing "absolute" models. Can you tell me what these are?
Can you make a chart showing the difference between cordless suction power compares to non cordless suction power vacuum. For eg. 262 AW cordless and 700-800AW on cable vacuum.
I've had a V11 for four years and it's still going strong. My previous V8 and V6 only gave me about 2 - 3 years of life each. I wish the Gen5 series would allow you to pick the size floorhead you need. I'm thinking of getting the Outsize for the larger floor head because I have quite a big house. However, I'd prefer the smaller bin size because I don't mind stopping mid-cleaning to dump the bin. I just want the wider floor head.
Same here. I have the v12 and would have loved to have the Big motorbrush
This video is basically an advertisement for Dyson. Marketing couldn‘t be happier.
I've had a V10 for about 4 years. It's taken some proper drops and it still works fine. I can't even justify replacing it as I rarely use it now I have a very good robot vacuum. I certainly couldn't justify the expense of the Gen 5 - I've bought much cheaper cars!
Honestly after cleaning with the gen5 detect i can say its worth it. if you have hard flooring, your robot vaccum is missing a ton of dust dirt and hair that the vaccuum gets easily...i was shocked at how dirty my floors get and how fast they get dirty. i vaccumed 4x in one day and there was still hair to be cleaned...
@@jt5029 as a physically disabled person it is not possible for me to vacuum with my Dyson for anything other than spot cleans/deep clean on carpet. I'm more than happy with my latest Roborock's performance. Nothing comes close to Roborock in the robot community 👍🏼
one thing i wish you could throw into your test is real world materials. Im not vacuuming up cereal all the time, more like debris by my pets or children (small cardboard pieces, lint, fluff from chew toys, kid toys like small legos that get out of the box, chewed up plastic from a puppy, snack wrappers that were missed being thrown away, small twig debris from outside being tracked in, leaves). I spent around 400 on the shark vertex pro and i threw it away in my trash. It got clogged from anything and everything and i bought it because of your tests. I had to make a small tool to remove the debris because a small piece of cardboard the tiniest thing, clogged up the tube daily. I got tired of it, listed it for sale, didnt sell so i threw it away. I was happy i did.
Thank you so much for your great work as always..... Would it be possible do do a comparison of the best cordless handheld vacuum with mop attachment? I'm looking for a new vacuum and if it could come with a mop attachment that would simplify my life so much 😅😮😅😅
What about longevity of the stick vacuums? Will they always suck at the same speed or pick up materials with the same power?
Best vaccum experience is the Dyson Omni-Glide combined with a vacuum robot. Change my mind.
Best reviewer on RUclips for Vacs! Hi from Australia 👋
Hello there! Thank you!
I have had my V6 since 2017, still running strong! I feel it can continue to work for me for at another 5 years, at that time, I probably could get a V20?
Looking at the specs/performance for the newer cordless vacuums, they look very similar to the corded upright vacuums. We have a Dyson animal ball and we’re wondering if we can outright replace it with a newer cordless model. Is that practical if we get the v12/v15/Gen5?
In Malaysia Dyson v8 slim fluffy also comes with a crevice tool with led light
I have one suggestion for your next Dyson review. Try dropping them on a tile floor to see how they shatter on impact. It's really sad when this happens.
I have the V11 Outsize and I have bought the Detail cleaning kit and laser head separately. I love the two batteries but the vacuum is heavy when using it in handheld mode. I think you forgot to add that the V11 Outsize and V11 have the auto sensor to sense carpets lol. But anyway I love my dyson and just cleaned my mom new car with it 🎉
I’ll second that my V11 outsize auto adjusts.
Hard floors only. Which one would you pick? Omni Glide Is quite expensive just for flooors
Best review I''ve ever seen
Thank you so much!
How often do the batteries need to be replaced? Two-year warranty. $150 cost per battery. Consumer Reports doesn't recommend any cordless vacuums because of battery problems.
What's in the box varies which version of the vaccum you buy. If it's a motorhead, absolute, animal etc.
This is great! Question. I am debating if I should trade in the v12 for the gen5. Since the gen5 has much more suction power does that translate to meaning I can run the gen5 at a lower speed and get the same cleaning power as running the v12 slim on a higher power? The v12 is great but I find the battery life to be short lived unless running eco mode.
I wish you would have discussed sound levels. Which one is quietest on low power?
I have the Dyson SV22 V15. I have seen a lot of hype lately around Tineco machines. In your view, are they just different categories overall? I love my dyson, but seeing the Tineco be able to do the wet / dry feature is very appealing, but I also see a lot of negative reviews on Reddit. I am also skeptically of things pitched so heavily on TikTok
Would have loved the addition of a little value for money segment based on their msrp or average listed price over the last couple months for the three winners.
Awesome
Are all attachments compatible with the different vacuums? I have a V10 that needs to be replaced and I have a dozen attachments I bought for that already.
You should make a video on which combination of robot and cordless vacuum cleaner is best to have.
My V11 torque drive came with the adjustable gates which I use ALLOT! I would hate to get a new V11 without it, seems like a downgrade. I use the soft roller from my old V8 and it works perfectly on the V11. Awesome channel, love how thorough you are.
V10 doesnt have gates if thats what you mean :)
@@resigningstars Yeah I knew that, my comment was actually referring where he said the digital brush head, which apparently is the only one with gates, was only models above the V11. Maybe I miss understood what he was saying.
Hello, since you have all the dyson machines, could you please test/confirm if the detect soft roller head with laser works on a v8 ?
I HAVE THE V11 AND IT IS AWESOME !!!
So glad that you are happy with it!
Are the attachements interchangeable among the different models?
If you just want a really good handheld vacuum cleaner that does everything well, you cannot beat the V8. I've had mine for three years and it is superb (replaced a V6). WHY spend three mortgage payments on a new Dyson when you only actually need to spend one?
@ Vacuum Wars.. who made the chart at 4:25 in the video as they left out my V10 Do any of the newer models fit in the V10 stand?
Anyone know how the gen5 models or v15 do with popped popcorn? We currently have an LG Cord Zero that we love except that it gets clogged up badly when trying to clean up the kids' spilled popcorn on movie nights.
Thank god, this video is so fucking valuable❤.
Thank you for this I’m buying a cordless Dyson and still wasn’t sure which one to get 😊
Glad to help!
Although the V12 does not come with a digital motorhead, is it compatible with one? I also think they should consider including an optional bag for those who rather not have dust flying all over the place. One of the reason why I hate the current vacuum market these days - so hard to find a bag version vacuum.
What is the difference between V8 and V8 absolute? Walmart was selling the purple a week ago on discount while also selling the sliver version on discount (purple price was lower).
thanks
You're welcome!
I have a V8 and a V10 that gets used almost daily in our home. The V10 stays upstairs which is all carpet and the V8 gets mostly used in handheld mode as a we have a robot vacuum that’s ran daily on our main floor. I much prefer the V8 design over the V10 and love the trigger I’m honestly bummed they are moving away from it. I also have an old DC34 that’s strictly handheld that’s lived in our garage for years that still holds a great charge that’s used for various things in the garage/car… if they ever die on me I’ll rebuild them lol
Have you considered idea of reviewing of window cleaning robots? I really need your advice :)
