Dennis Callan when i go to all these places i am putting you in my pocket so you can show me where, how, what to do and when to twist and turn and thank you so much for these beautiful videos.
8:08 not really there are still three passenger coaches from 1871, one from 1872 and a few more from 1873-1875 still in regular services. The coach at 6:49 is one of the three from 1871
For sure, sorry I think I am the 99.1 subscriber, I will do my best, will get you there, you deserve it as your channel is amazing, I have seen all of your other videos and have loved them, you have made me fall in love with Switzerland and we are planning a visit there .
I was at Rigi Kulm few days ago , that little red train in both ways cost me 72 CHF, we came with the car in Vitznau ...at Rigi mountain I saw more Japonese people than in Japan
Today i am in luzern. i bought swiss pass and free to go to pilatus. and half price ticket to titlis. for kids under 16 get free ticket. In Pilatus no more snow cause of summer but still snow in mt titlis. more snow in pilatus. but still snowing in mt. titlis.
Thank you so much for giving me the information about rigi ,Pilatus & bürgenstock. It will help me when I go to Switzerland this year. Do you have a video of Paris?
I've been watching a lot of your videos of Switzerland. When you go to these mountain tops, Titlis, Pilatus, Schilthorn, Jungfrau, what's the best time to buy tickets. Same day? 1 day before? Do they sell out? Thanks.
Hi Dennis, It would be more helpful if you can mention the ticket prices for the boat and train rides and also the Menu in the restaurants along with the prices and food choices they have at the restaurant..
Hi, can you please tell me that these funicular rides are available in winters? like in the month of February or start of march? also about the Swiss travel pass. It can only be bought online or can I buy it once I reach Switzerland?
Thank you so much for the video but it seems like there’s no ferry from burgenstock to Alpnachstand. It seems like we have to travel back to lucerne is this correct? Please advise! Thank you so much
I don't know exactly where to start. We just returned from Germany and Switzerland. I must have watched your videos countless times. They were so helpful and informative! We used so many suggestions! We ate at the Heidelberg student cafeteria and it was beautiful and amazing! We saved money by picking up food at Migros and Coop in Interlaken. The weather didn't cooperate with the high altitude mountain journeys, but we enjoyed the trips up. I can't thank you enough for how much effort you put into your videos. They helped to make our trip so easy and memorable! Best wishes and continued safe travels!
Sherry, many thanks for your comments, which remind me how useful my videos can be, and encourage me to work overtime to keep cranking them out -- I have a lot more to show you.
I have a question, does these cable cars, and Funicular have wheelchair access? I have a person on Wheelchair and I want to see which things we can do on Lucerne and Interlaken?
@@rajarizwanhotmail we saw several wheelchairs on this trip. The ferries, cable cars and train do have handicap access. As well as the public buses. Lucerne has cobblestone streets, which are a little tricky. Interlaken is not a problem. We took the public bus to go up to Pilatus, but the walk up to the cable car station was a bit of a hike, but smooth. If you can get a car, or tour bus to drop you off in front, that would be great. Rigi is easier to take the Funicular. That would be the only way to go with a wheelchair.
@@sherrytodd2362 Thanks Sherry for the response. It was not clear from the videos whether Funicular can accommodate wheelchair. But from your comments it looks like Wheelchair can go on Funicular and cable car. I do believe train, bus or boat ride should not be an issue. I was just concerned about the Funicular and cable car.
I'm learning a lot from your videos. My husband and I are visiting Switzerland in Nov. Is it possible to go to the places you feature on your videos in Nov? What travel pass would you recommend if we are planning to do Zurich Lucern Interlaken Bern and Lake Geneva in 7 days
Great video as always! definitely gonna go to Lucerne next year. I wonder how much the trip cost for the trip from Lucerne to mt. pilatus then back to Lucerne by cable car.
Thanks for the comment. Price is about $100 US dollars but if you have Swiss Pass or Eurail Pass it can be half-price. I don't specify that in the video because these prices can change.
Hi,Thank you for the great informative video. I have only 1 whole day in Lucerne.Im torn between Mt.Rigi and Mt. Pilatus,Which one you recommend? Which one is the best scenic trip is it Mt Rigi or Mt Pilatus? Thank you.
Hi Dennis - I love your videos! I have been watching them and taking notes. We are flying into and out of Zurich late April/early May. We want to see Munich/Fussen/Heidelburg. Should we go to Germany first? Would the weather be better for the last week of our trip to Switzerland? Is the Swiss Pass the best option or the Eurorail? Thank you!
Germany first, then Switzerland in hopes the snow will have left the walking trails. Swiss rail pass is best in Switzerland, German rides could just be with normal tickets.
No, the funicular does not go that high. When funicular reaches its upper station at resort,, walk the level cliff trail (quite beautiful) to the elevator, then go up to mountain top, and walk down through the forest to the funicular and resort complex.
Yes you can, each requires half-day. But there is no direct boat or train between the two, so you go back to Lucerne and transfer. Get to Rigi by r/t boat, then from Lucerne you can take a boat or train to Hergiswil, for the Pilatus rack rail.
If you would watch the movie you'll see in the beginning I already answer your question, "You could do a two-hour round-trip from Lucerne out to the lakefront village of Weggis or, extend that with a trip up the mountain to Rigi. Another big excursion from Lucerne is over to Burgenstock and then continuing on to Mount Pilatus, all coming right up." watch the rest for details.
2018: Burkenstock through March 31 including boat: 60CHF / about $60 the funicular alone s 50 francs / 50$ 3 new "ultraluxury properties" barf. as if regular luxury and enjoying the view isn't enough for these people

So beautiful Swiss. I went to the Lucerne at 13day May 2017. I got in the boat around lake too.
How was the climate in may in mountains..confused whether to go in may or june

you shouldn't be surprised as the natural decline is fully in motion (even for the Japanese).
Beautiful place. On my mind for ever. Thank you so much♡_/\_♡

usually same day purchase is fine, but if you're around the day before you can purchase then instead.
@@denniscallan Thanks for the information. I appreciate it.

I generally avoid mentioned specific prices because they go up all the time, and my movies stay on RUclips forever.
Hi, can you please tell me that these funicular rides are available in winters? like in the month of February or start of march? also about the Swiss travel pass. It can only be bought online or can I buy it once I reach Switzerland?
yes, most rides go year-round. Buy the Swiss Pass on-line before you get there.

Is the funicular in Burgenstock an alternative to the Hammetschwand Elevator?
No, the funicular does not go that high. When funicular reaches its upper station at resort,, walk the level cliff trail (quite beautiful) to the elevator, then go up to mountain top, and walk down through the forest to the funicular and resort complex.
@@denniscallan ....Wow, thanks!........are the elevator tickets sold 'per trip' or ('up and down' for the same price as only going up?).
Can we do visit Mt Rigi and Mt Pilatus in one day ?
yes, but get started early. You cannot travel directly between the two, so just return to Lucerne for the connections.
Can all of this plan use Euro Global Pass for train, ferry and cable car?
that will cover some of it, and the rest, like Titlis, you get discount
I Like big time! I got a channel about California, I need to start making my videos more like yours. Keep em great videos coming!

Hey
Can we do all these places in 1 day?
That would be a stretch, theoretically possible with an early start and late finish, but better over 2 days.
