I will be going to Sursee for a month or two. Dating a girl there and will finally meet her in person and spend a few months with her there. Hotel's cost £150 per night or more (I am British). I cannot stay outside of Sursee due to her schedule (she's busy) so I need to stay in Sursee. Is that a normal hotel price in Switzerland? A month in a hotel there is in USD $6,021!!!!!!!!! And obviously no kitchen. So hotel's are out of the question. Eating out is expensive enough as it is in countries that aren't as expensive as Switzerland. Eating out in Switzerland everyday for 2 months + hotel would require Elon Musk's credit card. Airbnb options are pretty much non existent in that area, and those that do exist involve a transfer of airbnb accommodation (the stay split between multiple airbnb home/apartment locations) and I would not get a place to myself. And it costs as much as a Hotel pretty much. What other accommodation options are there? Thanks
Hello this is wonderful. How long to do this epic trip? take the bus to Kriens and do the luge take the Gondola to Pilatus at the cog rail to then train back to Luzerne Thanks
Thank you so much for featuring the Swiss Transport Museum bc I watch so many videos where travel bloggers totally skip over this and we loved it! Definitely a highlight.
A fun factoid: a certain German poet by the name of Ludwig Rellstab wrote in 1832 that the moonlight shining over Lake Lucerne reminded him of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in c# minor. Within 10 years (give or take) the name "Moonlight Sonata" has firmly stuck. (Beethoven died in 1827.)
I changed my reservation to book The Lubo! Saved myself enough money to pay for a few excursions too! Thanks for all your awesome videos! I’m been binge watching them!
We took the boat ride from Luzern to Alpnachstad and I have never seen so much beauty in my life. I felt like I was in heaven. Highly recommend! We also stayed in a traditional Alpine chalet hotel a few minutes outside Luzern. We had a rental car. Would definitely recommend it too.. we loved it. I’m coming back. Thank you for this.
Hi @zaram131 how did you find parking establishment in central Luzern and to get to pilatus? Also which hotel did you stay at? I have 2 nights in Luzern and have hired a car. I'll be visiting central Luzern and Pilatus.
You guys are so cool, this video is amazing and has given us a good idea of what to plan when in Lucerne and what to do. Thank you so much. I wish we could travel more.
Awesome video. you guys really rock. My memories of Lucerne and Rigi got refreshed from last year trip. Still so much to cover in Switzerland. Will need atleast 3-4 more trips for sure
Hello from Houston, TX! New to your channel and loving the videos. Was in Zurich for only 2 days after river cruise this past December. Loved it! Going back in Sept 2024 for 10-day visit. Taking lots of notes from your videos 😊
Thank you for some amazing insights - I will be in Lucerne on 15th July 2023 which is a Saturday and will visit the Farmers Market and Fronalpstock :) You guys are the best ❤
Excellent recommendations! In close walking distance from the lion and the glacier garden there is also the impressive 360° panorama depicting the internment of the Bourbaki army during the Franco-Prussian war (1870).
Hello there, thank you for your video it’s so detailed and helpful. Well be there May 5 to 7 of this year, wondering if this is open during that timeframe?
Hi nice information 😊. We will be visiting Switzerland this April just wanted to know can we use the Tell- pass from Interlaken to lucerne as we hv made our base at Interlaken and we wish to spend entire day in lucern doing day trip . Plz advise
Hi. Enjoy your video. Do you have a video on day trips by train to quaint towns near Munich ? Or maybe there are sections in Munich that fits that description. thx
I love this video ❤️ thank you guys for making a great video like this and it will truly help us who has never been to Switzerland before ❤️. May I know if this guide can be applicable to month of November? Thank you
Hello Alexis and Louis! Used to watch your videos with rapt attention. Indeed informative. Would request you to make a video on the famous watch-making township of La Chaux-de-Fonds.
Thanks! Check out our video here! We visit La Chaux-de-Fonds and the entire watch making region including multiple tours etc ! Discovering the CAPITAL of SWISS WATCHMAKING: Biel/Bienne & The Jura | What to do & see! ruclips.net/video/LRILsPzCOBk/видео.html
I am going to be traveling to Lucerne in October from Frankfurt. I plan on taking the train from the Frankfurt airport to Lucerne. I believe they’ll be two different connections. But all of the connections there’s only like a 6 to 10 minute space between trains. Is this normal? Will I have trouble making my connections?
Do you need to book the golden ticket in advance for Mount Pilatus? We have 3 days in Lucerne and want to do this on the day with best weather. Keep up the great work.
hey, thanks a lot ! Please could you tell me how long does it take to get to stoos from the old town? and are any of this cable cars included in tageskarte?
New subs here. Question, Grindelwald First is on my to-do list. But you if were to decide between Pilatus or Titlis, which one have better views? Going there next week.
Hi Alexis and Louis! This is Joyce from Dubai😊 Will consider Lucerne next time we travel to Switzerland. We are excited to go to Zermatt and Geneva in the next few days😍
Amazing Video guys, I am planning a trip to Swiss during Christmas, any suggestions or any videos which you may have made on the winter visit or these places shall be applicable? please do let me know. thanks
Hey! I have a 24 hour layover in Zürich, any suggestions to make the most of our time? We’re going in November so we’re not expecting the best weather haha
can you return back to Alpnachstad station or you have to return to Kriens? I'll be driving to Alpnachastad and parking there. I also want to go to Fräkmüntegg for the toboggan ride.
@@TheTravelingSwiss I should have mentioned the 14-year-old girls I drank with at 16. They also served kids Campari. I never saw anyone turned away by a bartender in Europe, until we got to Holland.
Nice video, but still confusing. You need to put up a map and explain where to find these places. Alexis's accent threw me off. I couldn't always understand him. I still can't figure out how you get from Pilatus to Fräkmüntegg. Good videos, but could be improved. I'm going in May.

HI, IS THERE A DIRECT GOLDEN PASS TRAIN FROM LUZERN TO MONTREUX?
Is it possible to go to Mt. Pilatus after lunch?
Thank you, which month did you go?
July !
Hey!
How to book tickets for Stoobsahnen?
Hi.
May i know which month were you in Luzern?
Thank you
this was in early July
All chairlift of Stoos Mountain covered by STP ?
can you return back to Alpnachstad station or you have to return to Kriens? I'll be driving to Alpnachastad and parking there. I also want to go to Fräkmüntegg for the toboggan ride.
You can return to alpnachtstad!
How much time does it take for this entire pilatus trip and the expense?
Hi, did you take your baby on the hike at Stoos? Difficulty level please. Great video with lots of really good information. Thanks
❤❤❤
I actually stay now in Lucerne. 😅
can you help us knowing the locker charges per hour?
Can i bring my Drone to Switzerland ? small one
I'm assuming yes, there are lots of drone videos from Switzerland on YT. If you are really concerned, ask the nearest Swiss consulate.
I think the rule is that the drone is below 250 grams
Can you do Rigi,Stoo and Pilatus in a day?
No way… even two of them in one day would be too much and you‘d never be able to enjoy the surroundings!
Does Pickwick's still serve beer to 16-year-olds?
Beer & wine is legal to drink/purchase at 16 all over Switzerland! Liquor is 18+
