  • Stanserhorn is a mountain in the Swiss Alps. It is mainly known among locals and offers great views of the surrounding mountains such as Pilatus, Rigi, Titlis and Jungfrau and it has got a unique open air cable car to ride up in. Stanserhorn lies above the Swiss town called Stans, in the Canton Nidwalden.
    To get onto Stanserhorn you can either take a funicular that connects to the amazing open air cable car, CabriO, or you can hike up. What's special about Stanserhorn is that the cable car is included in the Swiss Travel Pass and this makes it great deal for travelers. The money that you saved on transportation, you can comfortably spend on local meals in the restaurant and enjoy breathtaking views and fresh Swiss air with every bite. After the meal, you can hike up to the summit and admire one of the best Swiss panoramas there is!
    Hop on the CabriO cable car with us:

    I would like to thank you because one day you advised anyone who wants to visit Switzerland to go at the beginning of May, and this is exactly what I did. The weather there was excellent, neither cold nor hot, and roses were everywhere thnx man

    My daughter & I took this in 2019, it was in June and amazing, we were only 2 of about 6 on top and very few people inside. We climbed through clouds, then popped up the other side and the photos of the clouds and the tops of any mountain was perfect. Clouds cleared and we walked all over the top, had some ice cream and sadly departed. Thank you for bringing back such a wonderful memory!!!!! Vielen dank, Tschüss!!!

    Grüezi Greg, so as promised, I’ve been to Stanserhorn today. Very nice! I took train and cable car all the way up, and walked down back to the starting point. The walk, via Rinderalp, Bluematt and Kälti was however demanding. Very steep, pretty long, but not technical. But do not underestimate it, it is NOT an easy hike. Wear good shoes and bring lots of water. Not for kids (unless they’re swiss 😂). Just my advice. Adi Greg!

    Hi I’m visiting Switzerland in the end of March/ beginning of April do you think this is a ok time to visit the Jungfrau region. And please do you recommend any specific cities to visit during that time? I’m planning to do some sightseeing and hiking if possible, not really into skiing

    Hello Greg, beautiful info and presentation in each of the videos. The open-air cable car, is it available in January? And if I buy a Swiss pass, do I hop on trains and buses or do I also need a ticket? Thank you so much.

    • @SwitzerlandInsider
      @SwitzerlandInsider  2 месяца назад +1

      Titlis if you must touch snow. If not, the you can actually do Rigi and Pilatus in one day, but it‘s a bit sporty. You can also do Pilatus and Stanserhorn in one day. 😊
