Hey Scott The nut that screws onto the hose theads on backwards to get the hose all the way up in the nut before you insert the top have of the fitting
Finally someone with a good idea! Ive been trying to cut my steel braided hose clean for 2 years as Im a ogg no mechanic, your hose clamp idea is brilliant Im going to try it soon as I get all the fittings for my new fuel regulator I even just ordered polyethelene clear tape. Try putting the fitting in the vice to get it on the hose much easier. Thanks OGG ! From Nor Cal
@@georgesimpson3113 its such an old brand that it is synonymous with the style. You sound like a guy that prefers the term " adjustable "....and would use it on an AN fitting..🤡
I’ve done braided line like this for years and never had a leak but, I’m always curious about different ways of doing things… do you have any videos to recommend?
THIS IS WRONG WRONG WRONG .There are threads inside the fitting you are banging on the bench you can't be serious. And the threads are backwards threaded so when you picked up the crescent wrench and went in the wrong direction you are telling people how not to follow what you are doing.

Thanks!
First video shows hose clamp I really hope it works for me.
Did you try fiber tape?
The fittings have reverse threads!
I will have to try that. 😎
Not a easy to do 🤔
Works like a charm!
threads backwards... but mainly, oil/silicone to get hose in first part is your friend...

Yes...lefthand threads.
Tip to ordinary guy. When doing how-to...show your hands! 😂
Why didnt i see this earlier
That was the worst display of assembling these fittings I’ve seen!
