    It's also important to make sure the hose or line is fuel rated. Wouldn't want fuel to break down the rubber from the inside out.

      Just added -06 AN lines when I did the fuel injection upgrade last year. I used braided nylon. Not sure if that is more difficult than the stainless but it was a pain. I used the same tools you had (Kool Tool, HF hose cutter) but it did no go easy. The Kool tool would not work unless the cut was absolutely perfect which wasn’t happening with hose cutter. I ended up using a Dremel to cut. But even then it took a good half hour to push that line into the socket. Once they’re on though… they look great, seal great and are easy to attach/detach. Also got the vice inserts and the AN wrenches… I started taping up regular wrenches but it just wasn’t worth it.

      Those vice inserts an AN wrenches are next on my list to purchase. It's not worth scratching up a new fitting but I wanted to show it could be done!
      I haven't tried the braided nylon, but by the sound if it, it does sound like it isn't as easy as the stainless. Maybe with each fiber of the nylon being less rigid it frays or bends easier. Thanks for the info on the braided nylon!

    Have you tried cutting with a reciprocating saw instead of a hack saw?

      I’d say the cutoff wheel worked best of all the methods I’ve tried. The reciprocating saw I’ve used didn’t have the right blade.

    hmmm.. have my doubts this works with anything below 6an. With 4an even the most minute flaring of the braid at the end... you wont get the nut on. Put good 2.5 hours on just one hose end...... and NOTHING worked..... even superglued braids..... even superglued braids AND then layer of tape suplerglued as well before cutting... Still the steel braids flare jussssssst enough to prevent the nut from going on..
    IMHO. SKIP STEEL BRAIDed line...... it so sooooooooooo not worth it... from building it.... to how much it cuts things it touches in short time in the vehicle... just a hugeeeeeee waste of time. CHUNK IT IN THE GARBAGE and never order it again.
