i just went on it today. it was my first big rollercoaster! i’ve always been super scared of rollercoasters and refused to go on anything worse than the iron dragon but this was so fun
@@bonkers082 nah I thought I hated roller coasters but all it takes is one ride to get used to or two, then for me anyway I craved more. I went on the millennium force which is one of the main rides there that cedar point is known for and I did it TWICE. I passed out a few rides but ended up going again on those rides because they were fun. Honestly the thrill is what makes the rides worth it. I can’t wait to go again. I love roller coasters now
Maverick is simply the best. Tight turns and speed. Hands down favorite Intamin.
I remember going on this for the first time having no idea what it was, thinking it was a more gentle coaster because of its size. And then when the ride I was done, I turned to my partner and was like WHAT JUST HAPPENED. Still my favorite ride at CP, even more than SteVe
Yes!!! When my husband and I stopped that’s exactly what he said, “what just happened?!!” And then I was sick for 2 days and that ended my relationship with Maverick 🤣
I wish I could experience this ride for the first time again!! So fun
This ride is the best at the park at the moment. I always had Dragster as 1 but now that dragster is gone Maverick is just amazing but hopefully top thrill 2 will be good

this will always be my favorite coaster on the planet. My favorite memory was when we got fast passes for the first time and we would hop right back on after getting off with almost zero waiting at all. We must've rode this 20 times in a row with zero waiting at all despite there being a two hour wait without the fast passes. You could definitely feel the hate from some of the people standing in line who got to watch you ride this over and over again. We went again last year and unfortunately, even with the fast pass + bracelets there was still a 45 min wait. I swear they are selling too many of them.
I remember wanting to ride this when I was 9 because it wasn't very tall. Unbeknownst to me, it would be the most intense thing 9-year-old me would ever experience. Definitely in my top 3 to this day.

I have a fear of all of those (except of Rollercoasters, I'm just more scared of falling out of them) and I rode this ride because my mom said it had NO upside down parts or really high parts, and I screamed and cried during this ride💀🥲

Favorite ride
Got my best friend on last month. I laughed so hard at her I couldn’t breathe. I warned her. This ride is relentless 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 but I love it

I rode this ride when I was eight years old. I didn’t know what it was gonna be at all. All I thought was “omg I’m finally tall enough to ride a big ride!” Although I hated it at the time. I feel like now, 5 years later, I would LOVE this ride. From what I remember the drop was short but amazing. There was only two twists which were amazing as well. I would have loved it if I knew what was coming. But for an 8 year old girl. It was too intense. Especially since I didn’t know it went upside down or anything like that.
Its one of the most intense rides in the world. It was just too much for your 8 year old self. Surely you'd love it now!

Headed this weekend, my all time favorite coaster!
the railroad effects were refurbished a few years ago and still work fine, i was just at the park on Monday. however, there used to be more lights as you actually launched that haven't worked since probably 2009 or so.

Man that boost tunnel really fucked me up the first time, it's absolutely terrifying in the very back.
maverick is fun, but I'd like it a lot more if it didn't crush my thighs with the restraints.
Maybe when riding, try to hold it up so it doesn’t crush you. Same goes for other coasters with this restraint.

The restraints on Maverick are tricky. They completely pin my shoulders down and lock me into a crunched position if I don’t set them correctly.
I’ve found the secret is to get in the seat and sit up super straight. Then slowly pull the bar down until it comfortably rests on your shoulders. Then you can slouch down a bit more into a less erect position and the restraints are perfect. You won’t even notice they’re there.

They probably went on media day , where they let people from news or other media companies ride and tape their experiences that way the park gets a lot of advertising and hopefully new customers coming their way.
