This watch isn’t for enthusiasts who gets hard ons from movements it’s for someone who wants a Genta design for a fraction of the price of a Ap or a Patek it’s quite obvious
It tickles mine. Just took delivery and it is stunning oin the metal. Great proportions. The calibre movement is exceptional irrespective of sharing it with the XX. You are paying for the history of this model.
You’re not paying for the history of this model. It was long ago discontinued. Yes there was a call by aficionados for its return, but this is a modern watch that doesn’t have al that much in common with the original other than a bit of basic design language and a name. It’s a very nice watch, but over priced is over priced.
IWC is a shadow of its former self. Like almost all modern watch brands it is connected to its past in name only, now steeped in a miasma of parent companies and holding companies. Beyond that - it has very conspicuously shifted its model to selling Veblen goods for conspicuous consumption. The movement quality is just not there anymore. Nothing is, really. You are fine with paying that price because paying that price makes you feel good about yourself, and that’s by design.
This is cool. I’m not huge into integrated sports watches, but this is growing on me. This is something if it’s selling for a reasonable price preowned down the road, l might consider one. Until then, if ever, it’s a beautiful watch for sure, it’s not worth what they are asking - not for me. Wouldn’t give someone a hard time thinking otherwise.
It’s a Genta design with a solid 120h movement. The only thing making you all think 10-16k for a steel Rolex isn’t overpriced is because we’ve just well established overpaying for those overrated watches.
NO doubt, quality product. How ever, IWC poorly priced. Will under perform and be dumped in the grey market unless pricing better meets market demand. Enjoy your IWC.
Lol you can put a price on this. It’s definitely way overpriced. It deserves a better movement.

@Anonymouslyknown773 there's the frederique constant highlife
It's very easy to put a price on it. And that price is at most, half of what IWC are asking.
IWC is riding the hype train for these. A great marketing gimmick.

@@waterfordrs22no its actually not really Overpriced. Piaget polo, GP laurriato, Chopard Alpine eagle are all about 6k more for a very similar watch
Would go for a Baume & Mercier Riviera insted. Genta Design as well, same movement, but for 30% of it's price.
Genta did not design the Riviera. It is an homage watch.
@@overman2306 Yes, he did.
@@marceltiegel1585 Jean-Claude Gueit designed the Riviera.

12K 😂
You broke
This is big pilots money for a bracelet that is more inferior than the ease x change system from the mark xx

it doesn't tickle my pickle
Reasonable specs, outdated design, outrageous price.
8000 should have been the actual price
I agree, love it at seven to eight (and I’m talking USD)…12,000 £ is steep
Nice watch but totally outpriced. I’ll buy a rolex instead
I agree. But before that I buy everything else
8k CAD cheaper than polo, Alpine eagle, GP and 3k cheaper than zenith chrono sport
Very nice Tissot, thanks for sharing.
Comparing low end Tissot to iwc lol

@@bdegrdsyeah you’re right… Tissot shits all over modern IWC
for that price you can get two tone Rolex with GOLD!
Yeah but how reliable is the movement
@@hoosiercoinreview6428 are you all right mate?
@@likeris2 it's a 3235 movement joke. When your $15,000 Rolex is losing -15 seconds per day an ETA or this VF doesn't seem so bad.
@@hoosiercoinreview6428Real rolexes don't lose 15scs a day bro
@@hoosiercoinreview6428Rolex is cosc certified, it does not lose 15 seconds
Edit - The price on steel is £10,500.
Looks like PRX with Genta endorsement
Good looking watch but for that price range of 12k, there are a lot of nice watches
I'll get the Chinese version and a boat
11k? Lotta balls.
Overpriced. Get a Rolex OP for $6500 and call it a day!
Ridiculous nonsense. Baume 39 riviera is basically the same watch. Are you really telling me the strap and the case is worth an extra $9000?
Didn't know about Baume Riviera...never mind it's ugly af
A shame production time increased the price. They're getting a lot of hate that they really couldn't avoid
Way too expensive
I dont like those crown guards
Looks great but grossly overpriced.
I have the original Ingenieur SL. It's a fine, thin watch. Not like this bulky overpriced thing
This is thinner
