I've been a Mets fan since 1967, was at opening day at Shea 1985 when Carter walked it off with a homer in the 10th inning. Lived in the Albany NY area and would go to the big O just to see Carter play when he was still on the Expo's. Clutch, character, and that smile.Nobody played the game with more heart! I was broken hearted when hearing he was sick. What a class act Gary was! RIP The Kid!
