  • Hoist your flag, recruit a crew, and fill your coffers with shiny, gold coins. And learn how to play alongside me!
Captain Flip is a game of obvious simplicity explained in less time than a cannonball shot. On your turn, draw a tile from the bag. You like it? Keep it! You don't like it? Flip it! Then place it on your board to form your crew.
With its nine characters and four boards with different tactics, Captain Flip offers an immediate, fun, and subtle gaming experience.

I like it. I'm not sure it's Spiel des Jahres for me, but I enjoyed it quite a bit.

As there are multiples of each tile (except treasure map), do they have identical opposite sides? I.e. If there are 4 cartographer tiles in the bag, do they all have monkey on their opposite side? I wonder if some players might be able, over several plays, to remember what's on the back of a tile. --- Thanks for the review. I think I'll be getting this game. Need a 5p game for under 2hrs.

The tile pairings are all different, so you never know what the parrot tile you drew has on the back, for example (unless someone had drawn another parrot and flipped it over, so you can eliminate that combination).
