    I love playing this game on Board Game Arena. I feel like there are a lot of mistakes that can be made playing this game physically (like the few things that were missed in this playthrough) but in BGA all those things are taken care of automatically so it's a nice quick engine builder that I can knock out in 5 minutes when I'm on a break from work.

    At 16:42 Nikki took the green when she should have taken the purple from the green column.

    Seems in the Viking world its all about the rep - great easy engine building game. Also interesting not much war, blood, raiding and pillaging for a Viking game just exploring (plus bonus points for no horned helmets)

    There have been some mistakes
    Lincoln spent a token for a free card and there was a spot Niki should have got 3 recruited but only got 2

      @EvanSawyer4 Месяц назад

      I think there was also a time where Mike spent bracelets and was owed a card off the top of the recruit deck but didn’t take it.

      @@EvanSawyer4 Yes, we make these mistakes intentionally to fully recreate what a REAL game night might be like. Yeah, that's it. We do this on purpose 😉

      @@davidarnott6085 lol, definitely!
      Now for real, we only notice this stuff because we aren’t playing. In the moment, it’s a different story.
      You guys did great and now I want this game.

    So dumb question when they draw a new card to the left of Niki I see a red, green and blue deck..is there one for purple and yellow?

    • @boardgamegeek
      @boardgamegeek  27 дней назад

      Those are different types of cards. One is the recruits and the others are near and far exploration decks. Thanks for the note and for watching. -Lincoln

    Based on the final chat, looking at all the cards, the deck seems very uneven. And going for yellow looks like quite a disadvantage. Not quite sure if this game is quite balanced if players know that upfront.

    Not sure what made me think so .. but watching youtube videos(in relatively short time ) that were recorded years apart - viewers have the unique perspective on changes happening to the people in the video. ( in other words, you might not have noticed how much weight people gained over some time ( if you're with them every day ) as in contrast to if you would meet that person once a year. )Anywya , for some odd reason .. my brain is telling me that the "guy explaining the rules " ( Dave ?> ) - seems to look in better shape. Funnyly enough, i can't place my finger on a single specific characteristics that changed, but my brain advised.. so I'm passing the information further :D
